The language of tax relief

John Armstrong’s column focuses on how Labour is trying to label its social welfare package as tax relief – implicitly agreeing with National and ACT etc that the tax burden is too high and needs releiving.

Frog also doesn’t like that Labour has abandoned its socialist vocabulary and makes the cases for taxes not being a burden, but an investment into society. Well if that is the case then let’s double taxes and imagine how much better off we’ll all be.
