Blog Drinks Update
Well around five people RSVPed and over the night around two dozen turned up. A very good night and general agreement these need to happen more than once a year.
Oh yes the two people who forgot to pay for their meals. Yes you who had sausages and mash and you who had the steak sandwich – I have retained the Mongrel Mob as my debt collection agency.

Most amusing debate was when one started on VSM. After a few minutes we realised that with one side being the co-presidents of NZUSA and the other being myself and Chris Bishop, the chance of either side persuading the other was zero so changed topics to avoid driving everyone else off. Other topics discussed with greater agreement was parental means testing and bilingual census forms!
Geoff amused himself by speculating on whether any of the other patrons in the bar was Idiot from No Right Turn who could have been covertly observing us as he was down in Wellington.
A very good night which carried on until close to 11 pm when we had to leave after the waitress reminded us for the third time they were closed and she wanted to go home!
