No wonder we can’t afford new prisons!

The cost of landscaping at new prisons is a massive $11 million, according to the NZ Herald.

I think this explains a lot about why the projected costs have doubled from original estimates.

The bill for landscaping at the Waikato Spring Hill prison is $4.3 million by itself. Madness.
