A good move from Telecom

Telecom have offered to setup two working parties to start working on the details of an enhanced UBS service and local loop unbundling, rather than waiting for legislation to be passed, and then having the Commerce Commission regulate all the details.

This could lead to better broadband by 2007, if this truly reflects a new approach by Telecom. The Commerce Commission has welcomed Telecom’s move, as has InternetNZ.
