Fire Service Restructuring

I am nervous about what may be the outcome of the fire service restructuring. The professional firefighters (arguably the most militant and feather bedded union in NZ) have longed aspired to reduce or wipe out the volunteer brigades.

As the NZ Herald notes, something of the nation’s life would be lost with the volunteer brigades.

It will be interesting to see what is proposed.
