A minority of one

The Sunday Star-Times had a good interview with Gerald Hensley who has just published his memoirs. A must buy for political junkies.

There was a wonderful line from the interview where Hensley asks Lange why he failed to get cabinet agreement to a visit from the USS Buchanan. Lange said that he was in a “minority of one” on the issue.

Hensley goes to to note how the previous Prime Minister regarded being in a minority of one as a comfortable working majority 🙂
