Police no longer investigating assaults

This is just disgraceful. Michael Earley was (allegedly) assaulted by a thug last week in a road rage incident. He filed a complaint with the Police.

He provided not only the numberplate of the car the assailant was in, but also a photo of him, details of two witnesses to the assault and even the name of the car owner, which he paid for himself to look up.

The Police have responded saying they are too busy to investigate the assault at this stage!!!

This is unacceptable. Assault is a serious crime. The victim has done everything possible to make it easy for the Police. All they need to do is contact the car owner and interview him.

And how many traffic tickets were being handed out over the last week, at the same time as they claim to be too busy to investigate an assault?

Violent crime investigations should always be a priority over other police work.
