In an NZPA article, not yet online, Steve Maharey in reported from Radio NZ to attack the Cambridge exams and says NCEA is better.
What I find hilarious is he said that Cambridge exams are designed for “the colonies” and used in countries like Botswana who don’t have their own exam system.
This could well indeed be the case.
So what does it mean for Mr Maharey’s stewardship of our education system that a growing number of schools and parents are opting for Cambridge?
It means they think we’re in the same boat as Botswana.
Well done team.
