Busy Day

Very busy day today. Had gym at 8.00 am, quotes for clients through the morning, then a meeting at InternetNZ at 11.30 am, a conference call with ISPs on Telecom structural separation at 1.30 p.m., a meeting to discuss fibre to the home ideas at 3.00 p.m. and at 6 p.m. a meeting of the Parliamentary Internet Caucus where presentations and discussions on digital broadcasting will occur.

Somehow amongst all this I need to find time to work on an address I have to give in a fortnight to the Pacific Rim Policy Conference, which is in Hawaii. Over 100 leaders of US and other thinktanks will be there so very high powered audience.

I’m talking on Intellectual Property in an Internet age, and will be looking at problems and solutions ranging from market solutions to technological “solutions”. Richard Prebble and Don Brash are also guest speakers so will be a good Kiwi contingent there.
