Interview with WikiNews

Being on of the biggest fans around of WIkipedia and related sites, I was very chuffed when I was asked to do an interview for sister site Wikinews. The interview is here at WIkinews.

As a minor thing I didn’t quite mean it to sound like I am saying I may get three times the visitors of Public Address. I was asked if Kiwiblog was the most popular blog and I said that there are probably three big sites who get well over 100,000 visits (not visitors) – myself, PA and Spare Room, and gave my stats of 300,000 as an example. I also mentioned sites done by NZers but globally popular such as Read Write Web. I was in fact trying to not claim any such mantle. Incidentally also congrats to Public Address for their Netguide Award win again.

At the end of the interview I give some of my favourites blogs. Quite amusingly they have used my descriptions of the, but not their names, so there maybe a bit of guesswork about which sites I am referring to, but they are all hyperlinked.

It says something about my inner geek that I got more excited about being interviewed for Wikinews than I do for TV interviews 🙂
