Foreshore & Seabed bill to fail

National actually announced months ago it would not be supporting the Maori Party bill to repeal the Foreshore & Seabed Act so it isn’t really big news that they have confirmed they will vote against at first reading.

Personally it’s a pity a compromise couldn’t be found with the Maori Party so it could at least make Select Committee, but it takes two to compromise.
