Labour Minister accused of smacking

This is the inevitable consequence of what happens when MPs pass a law telling parents how to raise their kids.

Family First have circulated a report of Labour Cabinet Minister David Cunliffe smacking his two year old at a shopping centre. They actually congratulate the Minister saying he was acting as any good parent would.

As distasteful as it is to bring families into a debate, it’s hard not to conclude this is a fair cop. If MPs pass laws against huge community opposition, they can not be surprised when members of the community report their own apparent breaches of such laws.
