More Wellington wind turbines

Delighted to see plans for more wind turbines for Wellington.  Making use of an infinite renewable resource is great sense. You can’t power a whole city off wind power, but this proposal will generate power for 35,000 homes.

The planned site is in lovely Ohariu Valley, and unlike Makara where many locals were resistant, the locals here actually formed a company and made the proposal to Meridian to use their land for a wind farm. Smart farmers.
