Criminal Procedures Bill
I was pleased to see that a deal was done resulting in National agreeing to support the Criminal Procedures Bill through the Committee of the Whole stage and 3rd reading. National got two changes:
- A full review by the Solicitor General of how changes to depositions proceedings are working after two years
- Allowing parties to present oral submissions where an application for an oral evidence order is sought
