Just because my comment does not meet your approval do not abuse me. I am not an apologist for Key, I just do not agree with a comment made. Likewise, whilst sometimes I agree with comments you make here I disagree with others, but I do not abuse you. So either behave in a civilised manner or go back to your cave.

Adam, IMO, one of the things that makes Kiwiblog what it is, is the ability to combine whatever it is you want to say with however it is you want to say it, including swear words. The freedom to say anything arises from a combination of the anonymity of the internet and the policy settings from DPF and I applaud both, personally.

I’ve just been vigorously debating an unpopular point of view on Gaza with some of the regulars here and some of the comments I’ve received were quite spectacular as were some that I gave back. One example was: “Reid. I’d cheerfully poke your eyes out and skull-fuck you.” Then he asked for a fight and I gave him my email address. Apparently, at some point, we’re going to a park somewhere – I’m taking my handy ACME 20mm Gatling Gun. The winner is the one who doesn’t die.

My point is, if you believe in the topic, give it back to them in kind if you wish, or not, in accordance with your beliefs. You could of course adopt the following:

In reality I could not give a toss for your opinion. Indeed, I suspect that you might have difficulty putting together a coherent sentence that did not contain a swear word or a spelling mistake.

Your constant references to soft cocks make me wonder about your sexual preference, are you fond of men BB or just sublimating your urges.

like I could have taken offence to being told to “get with it”

As I recall Patrick, my response to that was: “Golly.”

How was that disproportionate?

The “provocation” that led to him saying that was yours and his and others interpretation that what I was saying was anti-Jewish. Look at every single post I made on Gaza. Every single one. Not one of them ever criticises anything except the actions of the Israeli govt and the IDF. If you or he or anyone else choose to read something else into that, that’s not my problem.

I might add that you can go through every single post again, and look for any statement I ever made supporting Hamas. There isn’t one, for I never made any.

The fact that you and others chose to interpret my criticisms of Gaza for criticisms of the Jewish people and support of Hamas, is not my problem.

I usually try to dis-spell agression with humour, Patrick, lest I get medieval on their bottom.

Do you know what he said to me the next morning on the next thread after that one Patrick, after which, I said I’d bring my Gatling gun and made ‘the person who doesn’t die is the winner’ comment?

I think that person and I understand each other a bit better now, and I suggest both he and I now consider the incident closed, at least I do. So butt out – I don’t care about it, I didn’t care about it then and I still don’t.

..put that alongside what israel is currently doing to the civilians/children in one of the most highly populated places on the planet..

Feel free to lodge a complaint with the Human Rights Commission about a breach of the Human Rights Act 1993 … if you feel comfortable taking action against a private business owner for exercising his right to choose who to serve in his own property. That must be a bit of a conundrum for you, huh?
