TVNZ ethics?

The Herald on Sunday reports that Team New Zealand has a contract with TVNZ that give them a say, effectively a veto, on who TVNZ will use as commentators for the Louis Vuitton Pacific series.

This is a novel initiative, and one can see how it could expand to other sectors. I am sure either Labour or National would be keen to enter a contract with TVNZ that lets them choose who will be in their press gallery team.
