I guess Dr worth(less) wont be listening to the lorikeets this morning………more like getting nervous each time he hears a police siren in the distance………For a bloke who has had considerable academic and business success you would think being part of a government that had a goal of cleaning up crap like this from happening……..you would think that he would engage his big brain(??) before trying to wave his little brain when ever he could…….The person I feel sorry for in this matter is Mrs Worth……..what a sleaze bag husband she ended up with…………Worth(less) needs to get a book of wedding vows over the next 2 weeks and study them to see what they actually mean.

That’s easy GJ – it hasn’t been to the Privy Council yet, and it’s not as sexy as shooting your family – of course, that comment applies regardless of whether David or Robin dunnit!

Oh, and on further reflection – all the above, plus Joe Karam hasn’t written a book about TPF – yet 🙂

I don’t even care if he did it or not. He present as much danger to the public as a bad hair day and hes already done more time than most killers. This just expensive reality tv for the terminally myopic.

DB killed five people, like you I am disgusted that we tax payers have to fund this piece of shits legal costs but the fact remains that he murdered five family members.

There is no way at all that he should ever be let out of prison, if I had my way he would be found guilty and then taken out the back of the court and shot.

BB have you gotten the virdict because I’m not aware of one yet.

If hes guilty then the justice system is responsible for the waste of time and money by running a crap prosecution first time round.

And as for not being let out well I’m all for captial punishment. But remains no threat to anyone currently alive.

he he, after a couple of zoology degrees and being up to my armpits in a wide range of animals, I’m not particularly squeamish.

I developed a great addiction passion for coffee doing my PhD. And at the volumes drunk, you have to stick to the good stuff… Must give the kopi luwak a try sometime.

Why do people say Bain no longer poses any threat? The guy is an absolute whack-job.

I certainly wouldn’t want him staying in my house and the jury were mighty concerned about having a loaded rifle on the table near him!

Edit to add:

But remains no threat to anyone currently alive.

Now, why is that? Because he offed everybody else :-p

To all you hotheads claiming David Bain is the killer answer this fact.
The killer’s sockprint was 280mm. That is a proven fact and conceded by all. David Bain’s foot measures 300mm
No reconstruction by scientists employed by the police or Crown in all the years since the crime have ever found a way for a 300mm foot to make a 280mm sockprint. It is impossible!
Robin Bain’s foot (measured lying down, seriously, i’m not kidding, lying down) measured 270mm and could easily have made a sockprint 280mm long.

Fisiani – check your own foot – it is possible to contract the arch, squish your toes and therefore, change the size of your footprint.

Apparently, when someone runs or exercises regularly, the muscles in their feet can strengthen and the lower arch become higher and more taut (think a ballet dancer’s foot). So, when they walk, their footprint will be smaller. On the other hand, if that muscle slackens due to lack of exercise, then their footprint will be longer.

Bain used his paper run to keep fit and apparently used to jog through it. After a few years in prison, his feet muscles wouldn’t necessarily be as strong.

Also, the tests that showed his footprint was larger than the 280mm were done years after the event, and at a time when he knew what results were going to be of most value to him. So, in other words, he would have been as heavy-footed as possible, and stretched his toes out to the max.

For goodness sake. What you say is true BUT your assertion of possibility has all been disproven forensically ad nauseam which is why the Crown never ventured such a possibility. Despite what you say you still cannot get a reading of 280mm even if you are employed by Cirque du Soleil. Remember that this was a sockprint that only showed on luminol staining and was invisible to the naked eye. ie. David was crouching his stealthy steps in a superhuman way yet still maintaining a normal sockprint with A NORMAL ARCH PATTERN OF INSTEP …….AND FLAT TOES. As I said yesterday. Slam dunk for not guilty 12-0

I do not give a shit if it costs me another 25 million, when we waste so much more on DPB and associated benefits for bludgers 25 million for another trial is a drop in the ocean.

This low life killed five innocent people for reasons I suspect have more to do with his own depraved behaviour rather than the accusations levelled at his father.

I heard somebody on Radio Live this morning make the point that the evidence the defence used to lay the blame at Robins feet would never be enough to see the case come to court, in my opinion it is scandalous that they (the defence) can attempt to blame the father when the evidence against him is so slim.

You desperately hold onto the one highly contentious piece of evidence that might (only if you want to believe OJ Bain is innocent) suggest that the father was the killer while turning a blind eye to the mountain of evidence that proves beyond any reasonable doubt that OJ Bain killed his family.

If the Jury has an open mind and judges the trial on the evidence presented then the ONLY conclusion they can come to is that OJ Bain is guilty.

Fisiani – you clearly miss the point – one you seem to make yourself. Contentious does not equal conclusive. You admit above that there is always a possibility that it could have been David. As BB mentioned, it is necessary to assess this piece of evidence in light of the rest of the evidence – both the evidence that points towards Bain as the killer and that which doesn’t.

BB – disappointed that you are so certain on your knowledge which is likely to be less complete than the juries who have yet to reach a decision. Usually I agree with your reasoning but in this matter you offer no reason just bias which demeans your otherwise sane postings – sigh.
