The birth advertisements were automatically placed as a result of the COLB being issued. Obama never lived at the address provided. Another couple lived there for decades and only recently died.

The original Birth Certificate is on file in the Hawaiian health system, as has been stated by a Senior Official, who said the document was on file but has never issued one word as to how it compares to the detail provided on the COLB.

Obama’s half sister has the same COLB but openly admits to being born in Indonesia.

But I have been over all of these points before. Just fuck off and stop boring me you pathetic attention seeking commie losers.

You people are always and forever just so damn ignorant. Its a big part of course of being a leftist.

Obama could stop all of this dead in its tracks by merely showing the birth certificate as McCain had to do when leftists (including Obama) likewise challenged him.

Do people here believe that if a woman [in general] brings a false accusation of rape against a man [in general], and it is then proved that she, with full knowledge, lied about the rape, should she face the same ‘penalty’ as would have been measured out to the accused had he been found guilty [of rape]?

Also, yes Palin’s approvals within the base are high, no one is disputing that. The issue is if the base consider her electable or not. Romney consistantly polls better against Obama than Palin does, one of the reasons any true conservative would want him up against Obama in 2012. But one poll on approval ratings does not counter constant polling on a direct question of who they would vote for if the election were held today. Approval ratings don’t translate into percentage of votes. For example Obama’s approval rating according to Gallup was 62% on Novemeber 3rd, yet he finished with just 53% of the popular vote. People decide their votes on far more complex issues than just personal approval.

And also did you just call CPAC a left wing source?

fair enough if your just asking for the birth certificate. It’s the people like Alan Keyes who are accusing him of being part of a communist plot that are the problem.

Of course if there is no proof of something like a conspiracy, and nothing untoward going on, there’s no legal basis for him to do anything other than release the COLB. Just because McCain did it, dosn’t mean Obama has to. In fact if I were advising him, I would tell him to hold off doing that for as long as possible, just to keep stoking the birther issue amongst the republican base. If he can push his opponents to the right, he’s going to feel a lot less heat on issues like his over spending.

And quite honestly, that if you do actually care about the boy, you summon up the courage to reflect on the fact that Daddy ain’t a tip top role model and if the boy is going to have half a chance in this world, Daddy better get his shit together (and I mean that in a non-recreational substance sense Phil).

Otherwise, you better put that “Reserved” sign on the space on the couch right next to you. Or book a room with a view for him in the Big House. Because its hard enough for those of us from single parent/deadbeat gene families, but the odds are stacked right against those that have a single deadbeat parent upbringing.

Now, back to the question: why should taxpayers pay you to sit at home on your bottom, when there are far more deserving people who are struggling their guts out to make a living?

Oops, lets toss in another suplementary question for you to coveniently ignore: why is it necessary for you to ridicule and scoff at the people that pay for your lifestyle choice?

If your political party believed they had a candidate that was more then capable of been PM but his/her past had been tarnished by a rather serious matter that might be seen as debtimential to that person becoming PM you would make sure any past history disappeared. I’m sure those that support Mac daddy would have made damn sure any lose ends were well and truly taken care of before their candidate put his hat in the ring. But the birth certificate is but the tip of the iceberg. Why do you think Mac daddy will not release his medical records? Perhaps he enjoys perfect health, possible, or perhaps those records might just give times, dates, treatments that don’t add up with been born in Hawaii. Perhaps he had suffered form some childhood disease but this would be rather embarrassing if he had been treated in Kenya. There are to many questions around this man and none of them add up.

RB is quite right and it’s striking those politicos here have missed this critical issue. It’s very very interesting that Obama has obfuscated, prevaricated and downright refused to put this issue to bed. It’s equally interesting the media simply refuses to make an issue out of it.

DPF attempted to justify the other day through the letter of the law approach by pointing out the US Constitution requires only the short-form certificate. Quite correct. However, this has been simmering since before his election to the Office. You would have thought he’d have stomped on it immediately, if there wasn’t anything to it.

Utter rubbish. The Constitution requires that any President be born in the US. The problem is that as of right now, nobody can prove that he was not, and the onus of proof is on those who say he was not. That is (very roughly) why the first few cases have failed.

You are wrong in asserting that the Big Magpie is narcissistic. He’s just lazy and is indifferent to any notion of social and parental sensibility. His attempts to justify that laziness tend to suggest a degree of self-awareness that makes him a bit uncomfortable. A narcissist just wouldn’t get that message; for example, compare the vaccuous and self-important psuedo intellectual dribble from MNI Jerk aka Borker. Jerk/Borker actually thinks he’s better than the people that didn’t do a runner from conscription.

That’s not to say that self-delusion isn’t common ground for Phil and jerk/Borker, the diff lies in the respective degrees of self-awareness. Phil knows he is a loser (as distinct from battler) and it makes him feel uncomfortable. That’s why he props his ego up with the delusion that his tatty link-whoaring and Magpie mania serves some sort of useful purpose. In other words, Phil has had to convince himself, but the knowledge of his reality is not far from the surface. He’s actually smarter than Jerk/Borker, but his desparation to sit on his arse overwhelms his sense of reality and that is manifested in his child-like desparation to present a facade of credibility and importance.

I’ll regret this I know, but here Reid, just for you…

RB, if you review my comments during the US election, you’ll note that while I was against McCain, I was never for Obama. It’s just that Obama was always going to be better (i.e. less dangerous, for America and for the world) than McCain. This was because McCain was always a Manchurian Candidate and the real objective was to get the vice installed when he died of “natural causes.” Before the convention this was Lieberman and that would have meant a US-Iran war if that had worked out and because I know, if that happens, it will lead to a US-China/Russia nuclear conflict, that’s why I was against it.

Instead, McCain chose Palin and I knew when he did this that the people who decide these things had already chosen another President. (Politics is a Punch and Judy show put on for our benefit. All the people are actors, sometimes the people involved know what they are and sometimes they don’t.) Palin I know, is your fav, but frankly, she doesn’t have what it takes, not in any way, when it comes to what it takes to be POTUS. And that’s what was what was going to happen, if the McCain ticket won. So I knew they weren’t serious.

So I looked at Obama. And it didn’t take long to get to that birth certificate issue.

A question for all of you who attack RB for raising it, and good on him for persisting over the last year or so. Why aren’t you just slightly curious as to why (a) the media doesn’t cover such a critical constitutional issue and (b) Obama hasn’t decisively laid the issue to rest as he could so easily do were everything above board?

And a question to those who are familiar with the birth certificate issue. What sort of leverage do you think it gives those who have the power to reveal or not reveal that issue to the public, over the POTUS?

I was onto Obama’s passport issue My position has never changed . These coming years will be incredibly difficult for Americans and the world, not because Obama’s a lefty, but because he belongs to the same people who bought us Bush 43, Clinton, Bush 41, et al.

I know you see the world in terms of left vs right and you know I don’t share that perspective since I see it in terms of them vs us. But both of us have the same thing in common: we call bullshit when we see it.

I just trolled through the UK Daily Telegraph and the financial and political situation seems dire. I am blown away by the depth of anti Govt feeling there, also the anti banking sentiment, I used to think the two were mutually exclusive when Labour were in power. Ever 4th or 5th entry is talking about violence on the streets. Probably exaggerated but the number of posts like this have increased dramatically in the last year.

Reid, why would anyone intelligent listen to such rabid socialist nonsense, liars and propagandists for leftism who steal our money to support their stinking artifice while they simultaneously attack freedom of political expression (for that is all their calls for “moderation” really are).

They seek a return to the days when their ponderous self important one dimensional political views had some importance, where they opined without any chance of criticism or accountability, and they regret most desperately their continuing slide into oblivion as new media becomes more popular.

I don’t know who David Slack is but to me, he sounds like an odious Stalinist sayng just the kinds of things one would expect to hear on such a discredited outlet.

I want Radio New Zealand shut down and its staff fired. If that cannot happen, it should be funded by subscription.

It is an anachronism, and with so many forms of media available these days, it is an utter disgrace that people who do not ever listen to their garbage are forced to contribute to the financial upkeep of people whose views they despise and whose workplace is a poisonous viper’s nest of vituperation against freedom and capitalism that should have died a natural death three decades ago.

Because I was catching the ferry home at about 4:45, I didn’t have a book with me, my i-pod only gets radio left wing and radio-live (not 1ZB), etc.

I could come up with other excuses but basically I hang on for snippets of “rabid bigoted unthinking cruelty” in between the “lies, socialist nonsense, and leftist propaganda” in the hope that when I get home I can become “a blight on online society.”

Some day, people will fear my name, I imagine to myself, on the ferry.

The Georgian war happened because Israel wanted air bases from which it could attack Iran.

The Russians captured lots of US and IDF equipment there.

You know that, right? (Suggest you check the Atlas if your geography’s a little shaky on that region. See, Israel couldn’t get Iraq overflight. US wouldn’t let them, since it knew the consequences if it allowed that.)

The Georgian Air Force was using Su-25 attack jets. I guess that means that Russia is going to plonk a few air bases down there to secure its hold on the region and keep those nasty joo-controlled Amerikkkans out!

And be reasonable. Israel can get overflight permission from Turkey if they are willing to provide it (and being a relatively secular country and with a resurgent Kurdistan around there too, they’d love to get rid of that particular source of insecurity).

See, HurfDurf, Israel doesn’t have air-air refueling capability, since the US has not given them that capability.

The one and only thing Bush ever did that I approved of, was that he complied with the Us military’s wishes in disallowing Israel co-operation in attacking Iran.

The US military continues that line and thus Obama, to date, continues this policy. He may have reasons in addition to this for his position but regardless, it’s the correct position and it needs to be continued.

There are various reasons why the US military has adopted this. One of the main ones being, their Iraq force supply-lines would be cut-off and their bases would be placed under immediate threat without hope of re-supply, were Iran to be attacked by Israel.

Israel continues the pressure to attack Iran and the US continues to resist it.

If you realistically think Turkey is going to give Israel permission to attack another muslim nation, what planet are you living on? Whether you know it or like it, Iran is the most respected Islamic nation amongst Islamic nations, on the planet. Like it or not, know it or not, deal with it, and behave and plan accordingly.

You’re already wrong on the first line. Israel has 7 KC-707s and 2 KC-130Hs aerial refuelling platforms, plus 25 F-15I strike fighters and 300 F-16 multirole fighters. Conclude that with their 2 AWACS and 23 ELINT aircraft and Israel has the capability to be able to strike Iran and at least knock out her nuclear programme.

And fucking citation needed for that last paragraph. Clearly, Lebanon respects them for Iran’s continuing support for the terrorist organisation Hezbollah, Iraq respects them for fighting a bloody eight year war with them and for shipping in materials and men to commit attacks against Iraqi civilians and military, Saudi Arabia respects them because they’re their largest enemy in terms of intra-Islamic rivalry and strategic footing and Turkey respects them for being batshit fundamentalist while Turkey attempts to hold together its secular government. Most respected Islamic nation? Most feared, probably.

Just what planet are you on?

Yes I did say that, Hurf Durf, in the context of whether an Iran strike would succeed.

It was said based on memory of an article I read shortly after the Georgian invasion, which I unfortunately didn’t bookmark.

That link I gave you from a simple google search backed up the main point and since it was from an authoritative source: the US Army War College, I hope you’ll stop munting on about full stops and accept the authority of the general point I made.

In case you’ve forgotten, it was: Israel can’t support an Iran attack without US support.

Given that the US Army War College while expert on war, is probably not also expert in diplomacy, I’m sure you’ll forgive me if I say to you that taking the last sentence of that link as a reading in the accuracy of the other point I was making, is a bit like the village idiot giving the librarian a lesson in literacy.

A nuclear strike by Iran on Israel would be an utter tragedy, HD, but when have you ever seen any evidence that such is likely to happen?

I mean, apart from western MSM propaganda obviously aimed only at useful idiots, which simplistically and impossibly portrays the complex, large and intricate nature of Iranian politics as being under the sole influence and control of a single individual who comments that he doesn’t like the way Israel throws her weight around in the ME?

When have you ever seen or read an in-depth analysis of Iranian politics in the western MSM? I don’t recall too many myself.

Regardless, I assume, since you’re obviously interested in the issue, you would no doubt be familiar with the most erudite analyses of the interpretation, reporting and potential significance of the ‘wipe Israel off the map’ comment, wouldn’t you? So how’s about you tell us all what your conclusion is of that particular issue? I mean, I know that both you and I know far more about this complex society than that superficial sound-bite, but just for those useful idiots who’ve been sucked into that particular propaganda void, what’s your take on that?

Don’cha love it when the lyrical gets waxed? Redbaiter, even though I had to look up vituperation, the poetry in the prose “…a poisonous viper’s nest of vituperation against freedom and capitalism…” was truly beautiful. Of course, the truth of the statement only added to the impact.

Incidentally, the Obama thing … regardless of whether he’s AfricanAmerican, or just African, he’s basically fucking the American economy single-handed. Industry is already abandoning the US in favour of the Euro (even though the European economy/ies is/are being systematically fucked by watermelon ideology). When Americans have to form bread lines, and carry trillion dollar notes in their pockets to pay for a quart of milk, they’ll see this guy for the empty suit he really is, and their experiment will come to an end. I don’t see Palin taking the White House, though. I suspect Romney would be a far better bet. He just comes across as a little more mainstream and a little less caricature…IMHO. I don’t think she’ll recover from the “Rumsfeld in drag” character assassinations.

Forget the Democrats. they’re easy. Its the traitors in the Republicans that are the problem, and have been for a decade or more. Its time for a cleanout, and Palin, if she runs, will be the catalyst for a complete revamp of the party.

And one damn thing you can take to the bank, the Republicans will not be seeking one iota of advice from the Democrats or other sundry leftists on who they should choose.

Red, you may be right that a candidate would find it very difficult if they don’t have support from the “grass roots” (many of which seem to be extreme nutters). But if they don’t find someone that appeals to enough moderate Republicans and independents then they are not going to make it. Palin appeals to many of the grass nutters but not to enough of the middle.

The best chance for the Republicans is to find a candidate that has broad appeal across the middle but that is acceptable (perhaps grudgingly) by the extreme right. They tried that with McCain (I would have been happy for him to get in in 2000) but then forced him to make a mindless lurch to pander to the grass nutters by bringing in Palin. McCain was a prime example of an independent minded politician finding that when having the party system grabs you by the balls and keeps squeezing it restricts your movements somewhat.

The Republicans will find it difficult to get away with the GW Bush manouvre again, where they put up someone who appealed to the middle but was little more than a Cheney puppet.
