Looks like the Kahui twins murderer is going to completely escape justice, how useless is the judicial system in this country? They can’t even find the mother who is supposedly living in Australia, why was she even allowed to leave the country in the first place when the case is still unsolved?

We could do with some rain here in Mangmahu, Whafe. Stinking hot days are drying the place out. On the bright side we have had our first request to have a wedding at our place, using our dance hall ( a converted woolshed) for the reception.

Took me a second or two to get that , red. You are right. The government has it’s priorities right. Pedo-pic collectors get name suppression, murderers go uncharged. Packs of feral dogs that get shot get better protection from our government,

Anyone ever thought that helping set up Sharia Law compliant regimes in the war on terror was humane to the people who would live under it, especially women and people of other faiths than Islam?

I am steaming hot livid that our dysfunctional justice system has allowed a suspect in a double baby homicide to cross the ditch without restrictions and restraints. Come on New Zealand your socialist utopian bubble has burst! Come on kiwi your judiciary allows cultural sensitivity that severly hinders practical law enforcement. The Kahui case is a tragedy for every kiwi parent and child. The police, the judges and the useless lawyer come Justice Minister all share the blood of those young children on their corrupt hands.
What a mess this country is. Police are manacled by cultural protocol. Wonder when Banjo Kahui gives another couple of kids the hammer on the head? No wonder sane people are leaving this country in droves and new arrivals are saddened when they realize that the average moronic Miss Blouse public cares more about stupid whales than children.

God help New Zealand.

Time for Germany to cut itself free from the Euro and relaunch the D-mark, allowing the market to correct for the ailing Club-Med (and Irish) economies. The UK thankfully has the pound going for it – it’s drop over the past year has helped stimulate the export market and is now better positioned for economic recovery.

I doubt Germany will do it however, and some half arsed measures will be implemented that will lead to severe civil unrest in the mediterranean when they baulk at the EU imposed austerity measures.

We live in interesting times!

I see that the members of the ‘climate change’ church are still clinging to their discredited gospel.

The Dominion Post this morning had a piece on the feature page opposite the leader page by Peter Hardstaff, of WWF. It’s as if ‘Climategate’ never happened, it’s as if the lie about the Himalayan glaciers wasn’t exposed; and as if the apocalyptic predictions about the Brazilian rain-forest hadn’t been shown to be a crock.

Wasn’t the WWF the author of thse lies?

I see that the NZ Herald, Press in Christchurch, and the Dominion Post in the last week have all had post-Copenhagen editorials, kind of trying to distance themselves from the fact that they had bought into the AGW crock, but still they cling to it.

The planet might be warming up. But it might not. Man-made activity might be responsibe. But it might not. Global warming might be a bad thing. But it might not.

We don’t know, do we?

The hypocrisy of the West in its treatment of Islamic nations compared to its treatment of Israel is profound.

Why do we (Western nations) ‘shoot’ our friends (Israel) but ’embrace’ our enemies (Islamic nations)? Especially when Islam is sought on the destruction and removal of Western democracy, and certainly any remnant of Western Christianity and values/morals, only to replace it ultimately with Sharia law.

Why do people refuse to see the evil that is Islam as personified in Sharia law?

If the mission in Afghanistan is two-fold — the defeat of the abysmal Taliban and the creation of a stable, democratic state — then it would appear that we are not doing well.

The same could be said of “nation-building” in Iraq. The true measure of our efforts in both beneficiary countries should be based upon an examination of the foundations of these countries that we have created with the blood of our best and our treasure. When such an examination is made, the result can be only horror.

The constitutions of Iraq and Afghanistan for those who love democracy, freedom, and liberty are failures. If the constitution is a failure, then what kind of nation can be built then upon it?

After the U.S. military (with our allies) drove the Taliban out of Kabul, we endeavored to create a new Afghanistan based upon constitutional law. Neither the constitution of Iraq nor of Afghanistan is structured on the secular American model of the state subordinate to the will of the people. This concept is the foundation of American democracy given to us by Jefferson, Washington, Adams, Madison, Monroe, Franklin, and Hamilton; this is tragically not the foundation of our failed nation-building strategy in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Iraq and Afghanistan are both Islamic states (specifically stated as such in their constitutions). The people of both beneficiary states are therefore in service to Islam (i.e., the state is Islam and Islam is the state). This is not any form of “democracy” that most Americans can countenance or reasonably support.

After WW2, Douglas MacArthur remained in Tokyo to impose a new constitution on the defeated Japanese. The new Japanese constitution removed the power of the Emperor and created an American-style democracy in which the people have power over the government through the constitution. This approach completely overturned the old order of Japanese totalitarian empirical rule.

We have taken a tragically different course in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Article One of the constitution of Afghanistan states that “Afghanistan is an Islamic Republic, independent, unitary and indivisible state.” Article 2 of the constitution of Iraq states that “Islam is the official religion of the State and it is a fundamental source of legislation.” Both states identify Islam as the bedrock of the state and also the law of the land.

Both Afghanistan and Iraq are Islamic states, as codified in their new American-supported constitutions. Sharia law is the law of Islam. Islamic law supersedes any laws in the constitution that are not Sharia law-compliant.

Any review of the implementation of Sharia law anywhere in the world (or of Sharia itself) shows it to be brutal, cruel, misogynistic, anti-homosexual, anti-free speech, supremacist, anti-democratic, and anti-freedom of religion among its many unpleasant qualities. Even in Afghanistan as late as 2006, a Muslim Afghan convert to Christianity was sentenced to death for leaving Islam. Only American outrage prevented the implementation of the Sharia death penalty.

Under Sharia law, leaving Islam is not permitted. It is considered a crime worse than murder and is punishable by death. A Sharia judge on the case commented at the time, “We are not against any particular religion in the world. But in Afghanistan, this sort of thing is against the law. It is an attack on Islam.” The inherent contradiction between democracy and Islamic law did not go unnoticed by everyone, however.

Sharia law is derived from the Koran, Sira, and Hadith, the three foundational documents of Islam. Sharia law therefore has the authority of both Allah and Mohammed, as it is the codification of their commands and the words, deeds, and example of the prophet. American support of this barbaric “legal system” anywhere on this planet is folly.

Under Sharia law, there is no “retaliation” by the Islamic state against a Muslim who kills a non-Muslim for whatever reason. Can there be a more barbarous “legal” system that is more overtly opposed to our own concepts of right/wrong, good/evil, decency/barbarism, and justice/injustice? This is the system of “law” for which we fight in Iraq and Afghanistan? This is folly.

No American who loves our Constitution and the freedoms guaranteed under it should accept Sharia law anywhere in this country or actively support it elsewhere. How can it be countenanced that American soldiers are told that they fight and die for “freedom” in Iraq and Afghanistan when in fact our soldiers fight to prop up two Sharia law states?

Sharia law is horrific and anti-human, and it should be opposed by decent people everywhere. Our “allies” across the Islamic world implement Sharia law to varying degrees, but every Islamic state must acknowledge its Islamic obligation to implement it.

The goal of Islamic expansion everywhere is the implementation of Sharia law in countries and cultures where it is not now enforced. This expansion is fueled by jihad. Jihad is required of all adherents of Islam.

What can be the purpose of the United States (the “great satan”) in creating new Islamic states? The answers are not forthcoming because these questions are rarely (if ever) asked.

We now fight a war around the world and at home against Islamic brutality against us (our so-called “war on terror”) motivated entirely by the doctrine of Islam, yet we fight two wars to create and prop up two new Islamic countries bound to the same doctrine — folly.

What can our war aims be when the result will be the creation of two countries that are ideologically opposed to our existence? It would appear that we have been fooled, or worse. Our mistakes carry a staggeringly high cost; to bring any value or meaning to our efforts in Afghanistan and Iraq, we must admit that our course has been tragically in error and quickly make the necessary corrections.

Bottom line:
Islam and Sharia law are mutually exclusive to TRUE Democracy and freedom; and given the chance Islam will destroy ALL that is outside its values, laws, and practices. All true adherants to Islam are obligated to do all in their power to implement Islam; to ensure it becomes not only the dominant, but the only global system of belief and practice.

Those in the West ignorant of Islam’s true aims contribute nothing towards protecting that which their forebears fought and died for. And often these same individuals denigrade the Christian heritage which the West was founded upon; and from which her laws, values and way of life have come; and of which have, at least historically, protected her from the physical/spiritual attack wrought by Islam against the West.

Time to wake up!

For those who recall Kevin Campbell whose “John the Jew” comment got him some attention I’ve just recieved an email from the Act Party president advising that Kevin has left ACT NZ and will not be standing for the vice presidency.

His condition is described as satisfactory.

Brian , Inventory = The rain that we have had is very site specific so to speak. Some blocks we had 3 inches, 2 Km’s up the road got 10mm….

Glad am having my team do full moisture reading and measurements…

Sure is tough near the coast though….

Hard having crops spread from Franklin to Canterbury…

Why do some western liberal tosspots wish to establish Sharia Law?, that’s easy Kris, it goes something like this. “The enemy of my enemy is my friend” or something like that. Many of these brainless wankers who wish for Sharia Law do so hoping for the downfall of democracy and freedom. Most are to thick to realise the will be the first to be put the sword.

Yes, far preferable that we live under Christian Law where a man can commit a violent assault, break another’s jaw and be given a suspended sentence because "You are a religious man and you know this is not acceptable behaviour."

Where on earth did you get the idea that this decision had anything to do with Christianity?

The defendant was a Muslim…read a little further down in the article:

“Miah – who had just been to a mosque – punched Mr Furcan inside the bank, and again outside the building.”

For the record, I agree that it was a bad decision. If he’s guilty, he should suffer the same punishment as anyone else would have, no matter what their religious persuasion.

Rufus, engage brain and rwad article again – The judge was a Roman Catholic. The religion of the defendant is unimportant, it was the judge who made the decision, the Roman Catholic judge.

Lefty “non-religious” judges make similar “slap-on-the-wrist-with-a-wet-bus-ticket” decisions all the time.

How do you reason that it’s because of “Christian law” (whatever that is)?
