Pauleastbay – Smear all you like but there are so many quotations from prominent Jews defending Pius over the years, both during the war and after his death.

Admit it – you’re not arguing with me because of any vigorous belief on your side that the Pius was guilty; for you he has to be because the story is a weapon in your anti-Church, anti-pope arsenal that you use frequently and don’t want to give up – the facts be damned!

So you disregard the quotations of those who should be the very ones decrying the Pope if he were indeed guilty: I’m sorry though, he isn’t.

Fletch, Im not anti church , anti Pope at all, you are sounding like you have had a arse whipping and become a bit miffed.

Firstly, if you have read this thread my 1st comment was defending Benny from MNIJ.

Secondly, you posted a list of comments from people, that date wise did not make sense and a couple did not relate to Pius

Thirdly, all I said was if you are going to pontificate on here, be accurate, thats not too much to ask surley,especially if you are the one making the assertions.

Believe it not, and it has been pointed out by my wife a couple of times, I don’t know everything, but I do like facts, I spent the majority of my working life working with the legal profession and in a mature working relationship facts are nice, no emotion.

You have put information forward as fact when it is not accurate, … I will admit however, that I know the church has the greatest spin machine in history and they have covered up more crime than any institution in history.

There no emotion there, just facts, that history bears out, mainly because it is an old institution with really really good systems in place.. and blind adherents too, that always helps.

NEW YORK, APRIL 16, 2010 (Zenit.org).- An interreligious group trying to discover the facts regarding Pope Pius XII and his efforts to help Jews during World War II has announced the discovery of documents showing how the Church excommunicated Catholics who joined the Nazis.

The New-York based Pave the Way Foundation said that its representative Michael Hesemann found a large series of documents from 1930 to 1933.

The documents indicate that any Catholic who joined the Nazi party, wore the uniform or flew the swastika flag would no longer be able to receive the sacraments.

This policy set three years before Hitler was elected chancellor made clear that the teachings of the Church were incompatible with Nazi ideology.

“The documents clearly show an ideological war between the Catholic Church and National Socialism already in the pre-war decade,” Hesemann explained. “The German bishops and the Roman Curia considered the Nazi doctrine not only as incompatible with the Christian faith, but also as hostile to the Church and dangerous to human morals, even more than Communism.”

Among the documents is a handwritten letter from a leading member of the Nazis, Hermann Goering, requesting a meeting with Cardinal Eugenio Pacelli (the future Pius XII), which was flatly refused.
There are also documents asking for a removal of the excommunication, which was also denied.

Gary Krupp, president of Pave the Way, characterized these documents as “very significant.”
“Michael Hesemann has been diligent in researching the open archives and has been discovering new important documents with every visit,” he said. “His research tells a very different story of Eugenio Pacelli or Pope Pius XII than is commonly known.”

When asked why this information is not currently known by many historians, Pave the Way chairman Elliot Hershberg noted that “according to the archives sign-in sheets, most of these historians and scholars have simply not come to the open archives to research 65% of Pacelli’s ministry.”

Bereal..prominent muslims in Singapore described Lee Kuan Yew as a ”senile old man” after he made this statement. They have the lifestyle they do because of him. One comment he made was that they used to eat with others , now it is halal this halal that..and all separate eating. I recall years ago reading his comments re Singapore Malays versus K.L. Malays..He grew up with the Singapore Malays and was friends with them..but said the KL ones were very different ; they had such an enormous sense of entitlement.

I wasn’t questioning Mr Lee’s knowledge of Singapore, only his prejudice against Moslems. Which was, I understand, only exceeded by his prosecution of people with long hair.

You’re right bereal, my only experience of Islamic immigration is here in Cairns, where the local Imam’s family has been in sugar farming for three generations, where they play an active role in the community, and have never come to public attention for bad behavior. When they applied for permission to build a mosque, the wise and good bigots of this community started hate sites and made death threats against anyone supportive of religious freedom. (was Mr Lee saying Moslem’s couldn’t mix because bigots in the non-moslem community won’t let them? That would make a certain amount of sense.)

Have any of you people heard of the website “starting page” it’s a proxy website that does not record your IP address. It seems google is flat out recording every website you may look at or search for. The federal government,states, have already this year put in 4000 requests for information on various individuals and what they searched for on the net. This site searches google for you but Google only records starting pages IP and starting page will not record yours.
