Bid for Colin Meads’ No 8 jersey

’ Jersey – An iconic New Zealander offers one of his most prized possessions for auction on the Farming Show for the Canterbury fund. It’s a rarity, the No. 8 All Blacks jersey he wore when Canterbury defeated the All Blacks 11-9 at Lancaster Park in 1957.

Meads spoke about it on the Farming Show yesterday: He played only a few games as No 8 which adds to the value.

Jamie opened bidding at $1,000 and it had got to $2,700 by the end of the show.
