Why are people who doubt the veracity of the official story on 911 considered to be conspiracy theorists, with all that that word implies?

This comment I made last time we discussed this on here, on cognitive dissonance in the issue, remains my opinion.

Personally, I regard people who regard people like me as conspiracy theorists, as being childishly naive when it comes to real geopolitical realities which actually do occur in our world.

I rarely see cogent criticism of 911 posts not just here but everywhere, and my theory is this is because people constantly mis-interpret what that person is saying. The very first post on this thread implied that IF you were a 911 CONSPIRACY THEORIST then you MUST believe the US govt was behind it because this part of what they all believe. And you see this often. This is a signal to me, that people who say those things are as brainwashed, in their own way, as those lefties who respond hysterically to AGW issues or like toad did when he called me homophobic the other day – racism and sexism. It’s all fucking brainwashing, shame some of you apparently don’t recognise it when it happens to you.

Thank goodness ( read “fuck” for that ) for that, this last WC was a major snore Canada V Ireland , riveting. The next will be 10 teams, round robin like the 92 one held here and in Australia.

The Orissssssssssssssh are not professional sooooooooooooooooo……hear hear for the ICC on a competent quickly made decision aimed at maximising revenue – because it is a professional game.

Its not that Reid, its just many of us think you are bat shit crazy over this sort of thing and choose to ignore you, just a tad embarrassed for you really, we look the other way, like when old uncle Mike is having a leak…….in his favourite easy chair.

Maybe you missed it bullet, or more likely you’re spinning lefty lies, but the earthquake did negligble damage to the nuclear reactors at Fukushima. The consequential damage we have seen is due to the back-up cooling pumps being destroyed by the tsunami.

This is all the fault of the greenies, for two reasons;
1. This nuclear plant should have been shutdown years ago and been replaced by a Passive Safety Generation IV plant, which would not have had the detrimental effects of the tsunami. However, greenies have made the process of getting new nuclear plants built so fucking difficult, that it is easier to just keep running older plants, that should really have been decommissioned.
2. The spent fuel rods should not have been at this plant. This is where most of the problems have come from, as it is the spent fuel rods that need the continual cooling, post removal from the reactor. These rods should have been at a secure facility, where there is no likelihood of tsunamis or other event that could have interrupted the cooling process. The Yanks were building one of these, yet the greenies have forced the project to be stalled.

Yet again in the name of “progress”, the greenies have blood on their hands, for the sake of their blind ideology.

I endorse the comments of Pauleastbay @ 7.31, I do not always agree with Reid, however, 99% of his comments are well argued and well thought out.

The trouble comes when Reid starts talking about 911, sadly an otherwise sane and intelligent man starts coming across as a fruit loop or Penny Bright supporter (one and the same).

This sounds interesting.

Paul and BB, my 7:43 was impertinent and poorly worded, my apologies.

My point about Georgia is, I think it’s quite likely from what I’ve read that the conspiracy world could be right. What the conspiracy world says is that the Russians captured US and Israeli equipment. Putin invaded because he wants Iran to remain a dangerous irritant in the ME and the Israeli’s were scoping an air-base that could take out Iran without over-flying Iraq, which the US continues to deny them, because it knows if Israel bombs Iran, Iran unleashes their Mujahideen in Iraq and they could lose the entire show. Cut the supply lines to the bases and you have pockets of 60,000 troops scatted throughout seething bandit country.

If true what this means is the US and Israel continue their close relationship, but there are limits. Or that it was a rogue operation and there are some factions that want to and others that don’t. And that’s useful information to file away. If it’s not true, and it actually in fact was, as the MSM says, an internal squabble between the Georgian leader and Russia, what has one lost, by filing that into the possible basket?

And so it goes.

Actually I have a good example of cognitive dissonance.
A salesman who believes his taxes are too high, but who sells at high margins to the government sector.
Or a campaigner for higher minimum wages who then wants lower prices for goods and services.

edit: that last example could be stupidity rather than cognitive dissonance.

The Orissssssssssssssh are ranked ahead of Zimbabwe. They beat England at this world cup. They beat Pakistan at the last world cup.
Ireland made the highest successful run chase in World Cup history beating Sri Lanka’s 313 against Zimbabwe at New Plymouth in New Zealand in 1992. Kevin O’Brien scored the fastest century in the history of the world cup. They held their own against the other teams in the competition. What do they have to do to earn their place, bribe someone??? Fair enough, it’s a professional game and profits must be maximised.

But it’s a discussion that even the club’s members say is meant to be one-sided.

“If Google included people who challenged that debate, they would be wrong to do so,” said Matthew Nisbet, an associate professor for the School of Communication at American University and one of the 21 Google Science Communication Fellows.

“As to whether climate change is happening, humans are a cause and it is a problem — there is no scientific debate over that,” Nisbet said.

Govt to fund $2m giant plastic waka

Maori Affairs Minister Pita Sharples is defending Government funding of a $2 million giant plastic waka for an Auckland hapu.
Ngati Whatua o Orakei is getting $1.8m of taxpayers’ money to create the giant waka as part of the city’s Rugby World Cup celebrations.

The canoe will be 60 metres long and almost 15 metres high, Radio New Zealand reported.

The hapu will contribute $100,000 for the project, which was estimated to cost $1,988,000, and will then own it after it is built.

The waka would be used to promote “brand Maori” during the Rugby World Cup and other international events, hapu trustee Ngarimu Blair said.
