The first step must be the default of lazy Greece. Cutting this parasite country loose will assist the EU in dealing with the other laggards: Ireland, Portugal, Spain, and even Italy.

The trouble is, it appears the European vested interests want to somehow have Greece default, but stay within the Euro saddled with its German-friendly too-high-for-Greece interest rates.

C’mon Lee, which is it.

I have someone very close to me who is a devout Christian. She has suffered from depression much of her life. Recently she lost a leg to cancer, and now her marriage has failed. Why would god let that happen Lee?
Surely she shouldn’t have to go to healing meeting to get some help? Doesn’t god deal direct?

I have seen a number of miracles like this. That one was the most dramatic, but I have seen some pretty amazing things. You forget that families do not always want publicity, or their children turned into media freaks.

Have to grin at everyone having a go at Lee01 for claiming a miraculous cure. Now I cannot comment on the veracity or otherwise of the particular miracle that Lee01 refers to, however, miracles do happen, and there is documented evidence for them.
I can only refer to the miracles that happen in the Catholic Churh because I am Catholic and proud of it, but that does not infer that miracles don’t occur elsewhere – The Holy Spirit blows where he wills. There is a priest named Fr. John Ray who has been the channel for a miracle cure in Hamilton several years ago, involving a 10? y/o boy who was a violinist (I think) who had his hand badly mangled in a motor accident; the medical prognosis was that his hand would be useless. Fr. Ray visited the boy and prayed over him, along with prayers from the family and friends. Within a day or so, with no medical intervention, the boys hand was fixed, and now contiunes to play the violin – there is the medical evedience to support this miracle. I understand the Waikato Times did an article on it several years ago.

I could go on – but I will quote two other occasions. When the Pope and the Vatican body declare a person who has died, and Canonises them as a Saint – that is, that the persons life is held up as one whose holiness and virtue is confirmed – there has to be two formally documented – medically etc. with very tight parameters – for the canonisation to proceed.

The other – some may recall the Aussie TV news personality, Mike Willesee. Go onto Youtube and type in his name and miracles – Mike Willesee – miracles. There are actual films of miracles occurring. Now I know the non believers will scoff at this, but ther you go – even if you provide evidence, the faithless will still not accept them.

You’d have to admit, regardless of which religion you belong to: Physics is God’s law. Metaphysics deals with the spirit, not the physical.

I thought the aim of god, and all Christians, was to save as many of our souls as possible. Isn’t that why the faithful send out missionaries to save the great unwashed?

Surely, if one of these miracles, where a hand was reinstated, was filmed under scientific scrutiny and publicly verified, then shown to the world, there would be many, many converts? Possibly myself included. Isn’t that the name of the game, converting non believers?

Why has that never happened? I wonder

If we had scientific proof of God’s existence, the study of God would be a scientific endeavor rather than a theological one.

If we had scientific proof of God’s existence, all religious people would be aligning on the God that had been scientifically proven to exist. Instead there are thousands of gods and religions.

The reason for this lack of evidence is easy for any unbiased observer to see. The reason why there is no empirical evidence for God is because God is imaginary.

Every miracle that has been claimed can be repeated by a conjuror, except for the cases where either a) medical intervention was involved or b) the claimed miracle cure was of an illness that can spontaneously heal. I have asked you a number of times for documentary proof of the miracles you claim to have seen, you decline each time with dumber and dumber excuses. I guess you’re just covering up your lies.

The chances in a nut job per 48000 would be high let alone add senile dementia to the risk. He had repeatedly tried to get them to change their standpoint and each time the society stance was more positive of global warming. Old fool !

You are still able to function relatively well on the energy stored up from all those vodka and Red Bulls.

However, you can drink 10 bottles of water and still feel as parched as the Sahara.

The truth is, the cross is offensive to the extreme and so is Jesus/Yeshua because of it, to hard or prideful hearts.

Perhaps you didn’t notice Griff, he was a Nobel laureate. They don’t normally give those to fools.

This is another guy of similar stature saying almost exactly the same thing.

A wise person would notice these two people with distinguished careers are now uncaring as to whether or not they receive funding for the particular discovery they are hoping to make and a wise person would wonder whether more people might be saying the same thing as these two were it not the case that if you need research funding today in most institutions you simply cannot be a denier. It’s like having an overt racist on the faculty, these days. This despite the fact that science is founded upon disproving the proposition. You should be skeptical of the hypothesis, if you’re a real scientist. But real scientists aren’t allowed to be, these days. Not if they want to practice their science, that is.

A wise person would also notice that and then perhaps that wise person may turn to all the alarmist propaganda and the content and method and techniques it uses and examine those. And a wise person may not think it’s all hunky dory after doing all of that, unless they were particularly thick.

Can’t believe the whole days gone by without mention of the David Farrar bribing scandal.

And no thread posted by the man himself even though it was on national tv with Paul Holmes over a confession the man was bribed by a National party circle that included David farrar.
