The Germans did get payback. They lost a massive amount of real estate to the Soviets and Poland.

Germans in the rest of the occupied east were expelled and murdered .Ethnic cleansing at the hands of the Soviets.

10 million displaced ,1 million dead. Hardly a footnote in the histories of WW2.

The war with Russia was not religiuos it was ideological,any fool knows that.

That statement reveals the fundemental core of a socialist. A loathing of people that extends to the self. In the world of Scott Chris, people will only do the right thing when forced to by an armed state.

Socialists really are small and vile people. I regard them as a cancer and worthy of the same consideration due to any cancer cell.

Re: IS MS PENNY BRIGHT ‘FIT FOR DUTY’?

You appear to see it as your ‘duty’ to expose the wrong-doings of others – particularly those in public office.

However, as somebody who has stood for public office numerous times, you have:

– STOLEN water
– encouraged others to STEAL water
– STOLEN electricity (as part of the Occupy movement)
– VANDALISED and DEFACED the billboards of your opponents during the campaign for public office
– cost the ratepayers hundreds of thousands of dollars

The question, in light of all this, Ms Bright, is very simple – are you fit for duty?

In my ‘considered opinion’ – NO.

Scott it is proven science that racial identity can be deduced from DNA
There are differences between race that are purely genetic As a large part of our nature is instinctual it could follow that some reactions to external stimuli are race based. also that some religious ideas are propagated though a genetic propensity to more readily accept some concepts. this does not mean that all X do Y but could be a pointer as why fanatical monolithic religions developed in the middle east

You on the other hand assume that all Muslims are all the same but different from other human races:

Islam is not a “race”, it is a religion. A person does not choose their race, but they choose their religion. It is quite legitimate to judge religion on the merits of the beliefs it promotes whereas being of a certain race does not imply any particular belief or attitude.

I have not assumed that “all Muslims are all the same”. I respect the fact that in a population of 1 billion there will be at least one person who bucks the trend and disproves the prejudice, if not many more. But that should not be a reason to ignore the overall culture, its beliefs and attitudes, and how it influences the relationship the west has with these people.

You assume that violent extremist Muslims are a result of geo-political and socio-economic status rather than viewing such geo-political and socio-economic status as an effect of the underlying culture. Indeed you ignore the fact that the former leader of Al Qaeda was far from poor and powerless and was in fact very much an educated person as many of them are.

It is understandable that superficial phenotype characteristics should not determine who a person is, but it makes perfect sense that the beliefs and attitudes one holds (i.e. their religion) will impact on their character and that if enough people in a society share those beliefs and attitudes then the nature of that society will be affected also.

Absolutely, and no complaints from me. Sex isn’t gender though, and childbirth is a matter of sex rather than gender.

So get this. A US circuit judge ruled against the NDAA being used to indefinitely detain and torture US citizens (and all of us BTW) without charge or trial and the WH immediately within a few days have appealed the ruling. Maybe the leaders of the land of the free and the home of the brave know something the citizens of said land don’t. I wonder what the Founding Fathers would say? Oh wait, we know.

I would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending too much liberty than to those attending too small a degree of it.

An old prospector shuffled into the town of El Indio, Texas
leading a tired old mule. The old man headed
straight for the only saloon in town, to clear his parched
throat.

He walked up to the saloon and tied his old mule to the hitch
rail.

As he stood there, brushing some of the dust from his face and
clothes, a young gunslinger stepped
out of the saloon with a gun in one hand and a bottle of
whiskey in the other.

The young gunslinger looked at the old man and laughed, saying,
“Hey old man, can you dance?”

The old man looked up at the gunslinger and said, “No son, I
don’t dance… never really wanted to”

A crowd had gathered as the gunslinger grinned and said, “Well,
you old fool, you’re gonna dance now!”
and started shooting at the old man’s feet..

The old prospector, not wanting to get a toe blown off, started
hopping around like a flea on a hot skillet.

Everybody standing around was laughing.

When his last bullet had been fired, the young gunslinger,
still laughing, holstered his gun and turned
around to go back into the saloon.

The old man turned to his pack mule, pulled out a
double-barreled 12 gauge shotgun and cocked both hammers.

The loud clicks carried clearly through the desert air. The
crowd stopped laughing immediately..

The young gunslinger heard the sounds too, and he turned around
very slowly.

The silence was deafening. The crowd watched as the young
gunman stared at the old timer and the
large gaping holes of those twin 12 gauge barrels.

The barrels of the shotgun never wavered in the old man’s
hands, as he quietly said;

“Son, have you ever kissed a mule’s ass?”

The gunslinger swallowed hard and said, “No sir… but… I’ve
always wanted to”
There are a few lessons for all of us here:
* Don’t be arrogant.
* Don’t waste ammunition.
* Whiskey makes you think you’re smarter than you are.
* Always make sure you know who is in control…
* And finally, Don’t screw around with old folks; they didn’t
get old by being stupid…
