Should churches insure against Acts of God?

Stuff reports:

Wellington Catholics will have to pray extra hard, with more than half the region’s churches left financially exposed to acts of God.

Faced with rocketing insurance premiums, the Catholic archdiocese of Wellington is planning to scrap natural disaster cover for most of its churches.

I would have thought no churches would have insurance for Acts of God. Surely they have faith that God will either leave them alone, or if he doe decide to smite their church, then it is divine will, and he’ll just be angry they have taken insurance against him!
