nasska, they created the situation and they chose to live there. You can not pick a fight, commit a wrong, then cry victim in that way. They are cowards. The whole worlds security is compromised by Israels existence and the cost is calculable in terms of deaths suffering and money. It shows how brainwashed people are that they accept all this so a religious group can have a patch of sand in the ME.

Anyway, it is done now and they got their religious fantasy land. The people there now (about 50% atheist) are not responsible. I wish them well and I wish the Muslims would work more constructively with Israel, instead of lobbing rockets at them. As a group Jews are intelligent and at the forefront of progressive thought that so distresses Christians. They are increasingly atheist too. But they are not perfect and not above criticism.

It is not the “Jews” that are the problem. It is religion.

Amen to that! The stinking curse of religion is at the root of more of the world’s problems than every potential despot or political tyrant yet born. For one instance it is the glue that unites a multitude of ME nations who otherwise couldn’t agree on how to milk a goat…..another example is the union between Israel & the USA, the two nations containing the majority of the world’s Jews.

In a way the “Jewish” label is redundant as more Israelis identify as being atheist & in any case it refers to an historic tribe of the area a couple of millennia ago. It does however provide a cultural connection which will hold the nation of Israel together for the foreseeable future.

Many people use religion as a cultural identifier. They are only culturally Muslim, Hindu, Jewish, Catholic. They don’t really believe the fables.

Also some of what we attribute to religion is cultural. For example; Afghans treated women like shit before Islam came along.

Often what some others claim I’ve said is not accurate. Some of it is blatantly false, whether through ignorance, failing to take any notice of what I say or deliberately making false claims. You seem to have false impressions.

There should be a mandatory sentence equal to the maximum available for the charges laid. On top of that there should be extra imposed depending on the circumstances. We need to stop referring to accusers as victims. They are not victims unless the crime has been proven. They are accusers and should be labeled as such. There should be a data base of accusers, with photos, so men can check if they have form as an accuser and avoid them.

Rape accusers not only destroy men’s lives, they make it harder for rape victims.

But WHY do you refuse to put a number on it, BTW? It’s an estimate, you don’t need to know the stats figures. No-one is suggesting tell us the REAL number. Why don’t you tell us what YOU ESTIMATE the number or proportion is? Why don’t you do that?

nasska, yes but not for the reasons you gave. With the amount of aid Israel has received it would be impossible to fail. They are a rich prosperous country but are still the number one aid recipient of the USA. Not some impoverished desperate country. Haiti would be great if it got that much help. You have to get over this fantasy of a few persecuted settlers building this wonderful nation through hard work and toil against dire odds. They were wealthy Europeans and receive massive charity to this day.

No…..I don’t but it’s not hard to see how people form that opinion. The Jews are hard working, stick together & are self financing which makes them very successful in business. As such it’s not unreasonable to state for instance, “Hollywood is controlled by Jewish interests” & it is certain that Jewish money is freely available to US politicians who are sympathetic to their cause.

Many of them are very powerful but not to the point where they run the world.

That’s as nonsensical as having a mandatory maximum sentence for all proven rape. There are varying degrees of severity.

False accusations of rape should be dealt with in a similar way other offences are dealt with. Sentences need to be appropriate to the severity.

Also nonsense. That’s like saying there is no victim of murder unless the crime has been proven, in which the Crewes, Jennifer Beard and many others would not be regarded as victims.

They are accusers and should be labeled as such. There should be a data base of accusers, with photos, so men can check if they have form as an accuser and avoid them.

There’s a number of problems with that. Why single out rape accusers, why not have a warning database of people accused of any crime? Too bad if they turn out to be innocent.

In effect there were two waves of Jewish migration out of Europe. Up until 1939 many Jews moved to America & took their money with them. These USA immigrants built the merchant banks & corporates that are so powerful in the political scene of the USA today.

The second wave (probably smaller) settled Israel after WW2. Many of them were not wealthy & were refugees from countries behind the Iron Curtain….they would have had few possessions along with those survivors from Hitler’s campaign of genocide.

Israel has been the recipient of generous US aid but it has been at the behest of their fellows in America.

You’re unlikely to get admissions on ticks graham – it wasn’t me, I have added a downtick to bring it to 2 to prove this, however I don’t disagree with what you posted. Ticks can be for many reasons.

It’s a bit like how several decades ago society as a whole accepted drink driving as acceptable behaviour. Even though many people never drove while drunk. People were even abused and accused of being wooses and party poopers if they spoke against it.

But that has changed where most responsible people will speak up against drunks driving and try and prevent drunks from driving if they are in a position to do it.

Society hasn’t evolved the same on rape yet.

But there may be a difference, victims of drunk driving probably weren’t blamed for walking at a time the drunks could be driving, or for driving cars that were too small, or driving red cars, or for being female drivers.

Edit – and I haven’t down-ticked your last comment, but I did down-tick Kea’s last comment, that’s just pathetic avoidance of backing up bull.

Jewish money played a big part in Obamas election campaign, the most expensive in human history. AIPAC have a budget of around 55 millions dollars US a year. And there are other Jewish interests groups on top of that.

You better hope others are as bias and ignorant as you. Because if they look into this themselves any credibility you may have will be gone. I’m not so sure that Israel is a “religious disneyland”. As you stated earlier yourself, many Israelis are secular & not all are happy with their country’s militarist stand. My own opinion is that as the USA loses its status of being a superpower Israel will step up & organise its own defence. Meantime since someone else is doing it for them they’d be mugs not to take what’s on offer.

Don’t forget that the entire ME is a Muslim Disneyland. The only things that unite Kuwait with Egypt or Syria with Iraq are Islam & a hatred of Israel.

I didn’t say that.

To illustrate the point I was making I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone make excuses for drunk driving or blaming the victims of drunk driver accidents here on Kiwiblog, but it’s not uncommon to see excuses made for rape, the severity of rape talked down and victims of rape blamed. I test that out here from time to time as I did today. There’s a number of people who put more of a priority on niggling at me than condemning people convicted of rape – or they don’t condemn the act at all.

I don’t need convincing about how toxic many Muslim countries have become. But I will remind you it is they being killed, not Jews. The victims are Muslim. Not Jews. This self evident fact is often overlooked in these debates. You tend to get a bit grumpy when your home is destroyed and family is killed nasska. Have you really got any idea just how many Muslim countries are having military actions against them right now ? Most of them. Yet here on the KB fantasy land Jews are the victims. That is fucked up logic.

You know one of the ways they flush out “terrorists” in Afghanistan ? They drive around with religiously offensive music playing on loud speakers. Anyone has a go at them, they kill them. So how about we invade and destroy Israel and try the same tactic. If anyone resists, they are “radicals”.

Use the brain god did not give you, take a step back, and really think. Accept what is in front of our eyes.

I have to wonder what sort of people they have down in Dunedin. It sounds like another world. Women are raped in industrial quantities while sneering mobs of locals look on applauding the rapists before shouting them a beer.

There is no other explanation for PG’s views.

This is the justice system in the US. Can’t afford to pay a defense lawyer for people facing the death penalty, but can spend trillions killing Muslims on behalf of Israel. Its a disgrace to any decent person but will appeal to the religious low lifes on KB

What that game wherein if someone makes a claim someone else will ask them to support it? I’m not sure it’s a “game”. More the normal practice.
