Straightaway I worked out that we were being lied to and it was likely a false flag only to be met on Kiwiblog by the usual mob of brainwashed idiots (Milkmaid, Lance, Stephie, Shawn Herles etc.) who can’t see the wood for the trees offering nothing to the debate but their usual smears and abuse:

In my view – the thorough implementation and enforcement of the Public Records Act 2005, particularly the above-mentioned s.17, is pivotal to ‘open, transparent and democratically accountable’ local government.

How can you exercise fiscal responsibility, or prudent stewardship of public monies – if you don’t know where exactly that public money is being spent?

Pretty basic common sense – in my view.

the BBC clarified that the documentary came to no firm conclusion about the theories and there was only a slim chance that a fighter jet had been involved.

A spokesperson, said: ‘This impartial documentary takes a balanced viewpoint in reporting the competing theories surrounding the fate of MH17, including the evidence for and against those involving Russia, Ukraine and the CIA.

‘It also examines in detail the findings of the official Dutch inquiry into the incident, which provide compelling evidence that the plane was brought down by a powerful ground to air missile.’

I support Auckland Council complying with their statutory duties and providing the information to citizens and ratepayers in order to establish their ‘liabilities’.

I do NOT support the citizens and ratepayers of the Auckland region being effectively treated, in my opinion, as a giant CCO (Ca$h Cow Organisation).

Who is holding Auckland Council accountable to ‘the rule of law’?

(In my experience – most people are too frightened to ‘take on City Hall’).

VictorIa Crone said there has been gross and negligent overspending within the council. Speaking on Paul Henry Crone said by going through the Super City budget there is $500m money to be saved over the remaining 7 years of the 10 year plan. Starting with the mayoral office and working down. One contract could have saved $30m dollars alone.

Phil Goff is the front runner in the mayoral campaign. Asked what is the most dangerous thing you would be getting if you vote for Goofy mayoral candidate Victoria Crone said “Phil does not have any new ideas and he doesn’t have the business acumen to run the largest council in Australasia.

2. Have you placed your outstanding rates money in a lawyers trust account to ensure there is no conflict if interest in the forthcoming mayoral campaign.

3. In the interests of transparency can you provide a letter from said lawyer confirming that.

4. How can you continue to use the title “Publicwatchdog” without a mandate from the public? (when in fact you have been repeatedly denied a mandate at national and local level)

Isn’t your beef with them not making them public/ available to you? “Normal, prudent business practice” does not mandate a wholesale publication of commercially sensitive information without good reason. Do you have a good reason for demanding to see all these things, other than your “considered opinion”? Is there a particular contract that raises particular issues, or are you just using non-compliance with an impossibly broad and legislatively suspect OIA request as an excuse to weasel out of your responsibilities? Answer please; this is what is known as an “issue”

In 2011, 640 people received permanent suppression for criminal matters in the district and high courts. The next year, the number dropped to 407 and has slid even further to 317 in 2015. Over the same five-year period, the number of people appearing in court has fallen by about 25 per cent, according to information from the Ministry of Justice.

In my view – that’s the problem with this (forced) Auckland ‘$upercity’ – for the 1%.

We are being run ‘like a business, by business – FOR business’.

In my opinion, the basis for the effective corporate takeover of the Auckland region, has been the (forced) replacement of 7 democratically elected Councils (warts and all), with 7 undemocratically selected Council Controlled Organisations (CCOs).

The purported ‘economies of scale’ which were supposed to be created with this forced Auckland amalgamation, were never, in my view, to benefit the majority of Auckland citizens and ratepayers.

The ‘economies of scale’ were bigger contracts for fewer but bigger private contractors.

First CCOs (Council Controlled Organisations) – next PPPs (Public-Private Partnerships).

Because ‘the books’ are NOT open, to the extent that the public can follow exactly how much is being spent on each and every private contract, and Auckland Council and (most) CCOs are members of the private sector lobby group – the Committee for Auckland (whose member companies contract to Auckland Council and CCOs) – in my view – the line between ‘public’ and private’ has become completely blurred.

In my view – the last thing the majority of Auckland citizens and ratepayers need, is a ‘pro-business’ / ‘for business’ – business person as Mayor of Auckland.

Penny, if you could prove any member of the Council, or any contractor working for them, to be corrupt you could perhaps withhold an appropriate portion of your rates.

Only if the whole of Council were corrupt would you have the moral right to perhaps withhold your entire rates as you do.
Hence, in my considered opinion, your position is morally corrupt.

It is also morally, in my opinion, corrupt to select one law (re: government accounting) you want enforced but ignore another law (section 60, Local Government Rates Law on disputing rates).

The Herald reports that a 93 year old war veteran in a wheelchair was not allowed to take part in the ANZAC parade because he would “slow the parade down” and because of “health and safety”

By God this makes my blood boil! The parade – indeed the whole day – is all about honouring veterans…I don’t give a fuck if the parade had to slow march, walk, or even pause now and again so wheelchair bound veterans could take part. They deserve every honour and every possible consideration. Those still alive are the very last of them.

As for health and fucking safety, no-one was concerned about that when they were sent into battle 75 years ago. The organizers should be shot.

Latest Roy Morgan poll result: National support plunges

That’s currently the headline blog post at The Standard – written by a blogger who calls himself “Notices and Features”. The problem is that the headline is misleading. The blog post quotes from Roy Morgan’s website:

… support for National fell 3.5% to 42.5% … Labour’s support is now at 26% (down 2%) …

Right, so National down 3.5% is a “plunge”, but Labour down 2% isn’t? Oh, and in case you’re wondering, Roy Morgan states that support for National partners “showed little change” (Maori Party up 0.5% to 1.5% and Act NZ up 0.5% to 1.5%). That goes some way to making up for National’s “plunge” compared to Labour’s continuing journey towards political irrelevance.

More topsy-turvy logic as we’ve come to expect from The Standard.

Nearly two-thirds of our 121 MPs own more than one residential property and a handful own five or more.
National MPs were the biggest property owners with an average of three residential properties each.
Labour MPs declared an average of 1.7 residential properties each.

Social Housing Minister Paula Bennett declared four houses.

As a not-yet-official 2016 Auckland Mayoral Candidate, housing should be of vital interest to you.

Welcome to over sensible Nil Ziland DG. Health and Safety. Where does one start. Fucking road cones, signage and stms sergeants.
There is a pot hole on a street to be repaired, a quiet side st. Up go all the signs within 2 km of site works..up go at least 200 + orange cones all laid out in such a way to fuck you off. Slowed to 30kmh. Massive overkill on signs telling you ” extreme care cyclists merging ” ) and on and on it goes, and that is just for a pothole. Same when you are out driving in the country…chap on tractor mowing the roadside grass. Behind him a convoy of 2 flashing light trucks , a ute behind the tractor with orange flashing lights…and the tractor. Do these pinheads not realise they are actually making the area unsafe with all their shit everywhere?

One tractor, 2″ Grasscutting ahead ” signs and 2 orange cones within 5km both directions of tractor. This is all that is required.

The worst is the way the Police treat every accident as a potential crime scene. which ensures that roads are blocked off for hours while they do their little surveying/plans/photo’s thing with the Serious Crash Unit. In the UK, they chuck the dead and living in an ambulance, tow the cars and worry later about whose fault it was. It almost seems like a Police plan to make driving as unpleasant as possible for everyone. Have they done any cost/benefit analysis? You bet they haven’t. It’s just a “we know best” attitude that infuriates me.

“Here” refers to Kiwiblog, or more to the point, as the banner on the blog reads:

DPF’s Kiwiblog – Fomenting Happy Mischief since 2003

This is, and has been, DPF’s blog Ms Bright. For sure, he runs a General Debate thread each day. But I am sure that when he set Kiwiblog up, he did not expect such parasitic behaviour as you exhibit on a near-daily basis, pushing your conspiracy theories and anti-corporate agenda. It’s also not intended to be a forum for political candidates to get free advertising, although in your case I think you probably do you campaign chances more harm than good as people see the “real you” here.

I operated a blog almost completely on my own for seven years Ms Bright, so I know the level of effort that is involved. I also have direct experience at how soul-destroying trolling and/or obsessive behavior can be.

So here’s a suggestion to you Ms Bright, made in all seriousness. Invest a few moments of your time to set up your own blog, on which you can advance whatever messages you like, and whereupon you can interact with anyone who chooses to engage with you. But to continue to piggy-back of DPF’s hard work and success in making Kiwiblog one of the leading blogs of its type in New Zealand is poor form.

I don’t for a moment expect you to heed my advice, which is given freely, and of my own volition. Seeing you purport this morning though to be some kind of default correspondent to Kiwiblog was the last straw.

Confined space entry
Engine driver
Workplace safety
Make sure you are safe first before proceeding.
The confined space course was a doozy they showed the result of seventeen guys getting into a tank full of gas one after the other to rescue the others . a big pile of corpses.

I have even had the misfortune of finding the body of someone who did not keep to the first rule of rescue and paid with his life.

One simply can’t go around dropping buzzwords like “open the books” and “transparency”, while refusing to answer similar questions about one’s finances and potential conflicts of interest as a candidate for local office. At Hamilton and Carterton an uninvited gaggle of Councillors injected themselves into the ANZAC parade between the Flag Bearers (who lead the parade) and the Veterans’ Platoon (which is the first Platoon in the Parade). Unable to march properly (because they had never served anywhere that taught them to) they ambled and traipsed along taking numerous selfies and – at Hamilton at least – forcing the Veterans’ Platoon to slow down so that they didn’t march over them. As you are no doubt aware – the observing crowds always applaud and cheer the Veterans as they march onto the “Parade Grounds”. I have no doubt that these ignorant and glory-seeking councillors thought that the applause was for them. If they must march in the parade they should a. LEARN to march and b. Form their own little platoon at the REAR of the Parade behind the “Odds and Sods” platoon. It would be interesting indeed to see if the crowd changed their cheers to boos as this group of cingeworthy cretins ambled into view!

On the stupidity of the anti-gender movement in America.
I struggle to comprehend the head-smacking idiocy that is now the rage of our society. Again, get a nation to think that it’s good when billion dollar corporations pull out of a state and cost thousands of jobs in order to punish the idea that boys should use the boy’s bathroom, and you can get that society to accept any stupid thing.

That’s what happens when you throw away Truth for whatever makes me awesome and gives me what I want at the moment. Right now, there is no need for anti-gender advocates to explain themselves. Note that. Pay real close attention to that fact. There has been no concerted effort to convince us that gender is just an abstract concept by which we measure our pain. There is no real discussion by anti-gender advocates explaining why boys will be girls, and girls will be boys, and that’s that. In fact, I think in the last five years, I’ve only seen about a half dozen news reports unpacking just what Transgender is all about and how and why and when it happens.

And for what it’s worth, that was when I knew we were in trouble. One of the reports was on CNN, and it featured parents telling me that they knew their infant was really the opposite gender because, among other reasons, of the color of the blanket the child preferred. Since I was told growing up that such things were merely the result of evil sexist, patriarchal gender stereotypes, I was shocked to see “experts” coming to the camera to insist now that such things could only mean a boy really should have been born a girl.

And we believe it. No, we don’t believe it. We’re past the point of needing to believe anything. The Left needs to put forth no effort to convince us of anything. At this point if the Left wanted to pass a law next year that all churches need to be burned down for adult movie theaters, I swear 66% of the population would support it. We’re that dumb. And the resistance that impotent.

A few points about MH17:

The shoot down happened at the same time as Israel launched an ground invasion of Gaza. Convenient distraction?
MH17 was directed to fly into the war zone by Kiev, and Kiev was the aggressor in that conflict.
Russia was blamed before the investigators arrived at the scene.
There is a photo of wreckage which show holes made by both incoming and outgoing projectiles, which supports the two jet shootdown theory rather than the single missile theory.
Captain Voloshin, a Kiev pilot, was accused of involvement in the shoot down by an anonymous witness.
