Only 2% of Young UK Men Aged 18-24, Define Themselves as Masculine

A new YouGov poll in the UK has found young British men are scared to identify themselves as “masculine”.

With gender identity being the new liberal media “in” meme, younger generations of British men are getting confused, and don’t see themselves as completely masculine or feminine, but as something in between. For UK men, ‘masculinity’ is now seen as a negative word.

According to a new YouGov poll, only 2% of young Britons aged between 18 and 24 considered themselves to be completely masculine, with 42% of men saying the word “masculinity” gave them a negative impression.

Suicide is now the biggest killer of men under 50 in the UK, and one take away from this poll is that as you take away men’s natural, evolutionary code to identify as masculine creatures, you take away their sense of self. Just more liberal values in action…

But for Venezuelans paid in hyperinflation-hit bolivares, and living in an economy relying on mostly imported goods or raw materials, conditions are unthinkably expensive.

Money wasted IMO, seeing that Blessie Gotingco’s husband is going to waste the money on lawyers beating up on Corrections.

The real villains aren’t Corrections, apart from Robertson himself they are the soft judges who didn’t sentence him heavily in the first place and do-gooders rallying against tougher sentences (and look at those opposed to the 3 Strikes legislation and punishing crims in general- Labour, Greens, civil liberty do-gooders etc … all quiet as a mouse now of course). This is where Mr Gotingco should be focusing his efforts in changing their attitudes.

Instead I hear Mr Gotingco in the MSM saying he is going to fight the “establishment”. Who the heck uses terms like the “establishment” in NZ apart from hard-core lefties and activists? I’m not sure I like where Mr Gotingco is going with this ….

Niggly, there was one judge who had the decision to sentence heavily or otherwise. He concluded that having regard to the psychiatric evidence and the thresholds in the Sentencing Act, he was unable to do so in that particular instance. Unlike you, he did not have the benefit of hindsight and was dealing with a 19 year old. The crown, which hoped for preventive detention, did not appeal. Perhaps you could give us the benefift of your informed wisdom as to where the judge erred on the facts and in applying the law?

So easy to be wise and point the finger in hindsight but the judges follow a tightly prescribed set of guidelines in sentencing.

Yes Robertson ideally should have got preventive detention in the first instance but he is at the extreme end of a behavioural spectrum and if you set your net too fine you catch fish that shouldn’t be caught.

That’s the legislative balancing act, the difficulty of which few of you seem to appreciate; and until the science of psychology is better understood, shit like this will continue to happen.

The Establishmnt murdered that woman. First a judge failed to sentence an extremely dangerous dog to a proper term of imprisonment , then when it got out he was under “supervision” and targets exceeded , but he mangaged to do what he did.

The reason that “c#nt”got away with so many burglaries is that plod was too busy pinging motorists 4 ks over the limit. Anecdotal evidence is arising that the police are too busy to attend burglaries or accidents. That’s because they are perched behind cameras and radar guns keeping the coffers full. We need to start telling the MPs that are so cock sure they will get re-elected that unless this stance towards policing changes, we will vote for alternatives with more sober attitudes towards policing. I am not anti-police but I have no time for the top brass that are making these operational decisions. Policing is about keeping society safe. Driving at 111km/h is not generally a threat to society. (Just look at Europe’s speed limits that vary between 110 and 140).

Nookin and Scott Chris – fair points, well made and I do agree actually.

Starboard and Kowtow – yes I understand that i.e. that Mr Gotingo is hurting severely – I understand and would too if it were me but the difference is I wouldn’t be going after Corrections, just seems misguided and an unnecessary waste of time and energy.

The only good that will come of it (for Mr G) will be the feeling of “righteousness” in that the ensuing MSM/Opposition frenzy will be “on his side” in attacking civil servants, whom are directed by laws put in place by limp wristed politicians and do-gooders backed up by the MSM – this is the hypocrisy that I’m not happy about (and in which Mr G is just a pawn).

Then there’s the problem of classification as apparently it doesn’t stop at LGBTI. The full acronym is QUILTBAG….. Queer/Questioning, Undecided, Intersex, Lesbian, Transgender/Transsexual, Bisexual, Allied/Asexual, Gay/Genderqueer

Bullshit. Hindsight my arse. Far too many judges get it wrong too many times..and its generally the same useless out of touch soft cocks. This mongrel robertson could have been locked up under PD but the lenient judge failed, he failed miserably in his role, he failed to protect the public. He should be up on charges.

I have read the review and seen the reasoning behind allowing him to have a car. Simon bridges was the prosecutor of Robertson in the Tauranga trial. From memory Bridges asked for him to be locked up for a longtime but the Judge ruled as he did.

SALEM, Ore. — Legalization of marijuana in Oregon has created at least 2,165 jobs and will add more as the market matures, a new report suggests.

Nearly $46 million in payroll will be paid to retail cannabis employees statewide in 2016, according to the “Oregon Cannabis Jobs Report,” sponsored by cannabis industry consulting firms New Economy Consulting and Whitney Economics.

By comparison, Oregon’s beer, wine and liquor sector employed 1,450 people and paid $28 million in wages in 2015, according to Employment Department data.

Was just about to post this but you well and truly beat me to it. Blessie Gotingco’s family consider wrongful death action against Government. This was a clear case of negligence on the part of the justice system, Robertson was patently not fit to rejoin the human race and should never have been released. That said, the judge that permitted Robertson’s release is to blame, more than Corrections who failed to properly monitor him, but our judiciary are not accountable unfortunately

I see the givealittle page for Blessie has exceeded $103,000. National used to be a party that was tough on crime and cared more about victims than crims. Corrections have been successfully sued before for $300,000 for letting Bell out when he did the RSA murders. It can happen again. I do not care about tax cuts when National cannot do one of its basic functions that is to protect the public and that includes visitors to NZ. Key is Minister of Tourism. Cost was a factor in this botch up. Blessis was not a tourist but there have been a few murdered and lot more seriously assaulted, raped and robbed. Money should not come into this issue but money is the only thing Key understands other than polls and votes.

Peter, I just heard Prof Hodge say the difference with the RSA compensation was that $300k went to a live victim. Do you remember if any of the spouses of murdered victims got anything? I seem to think the did got something – maybe out of pocket expenses.
