    And BTW, I’ve said many times Infowars is a zionist disinformation site which you can tell quite easily by the fact it rarely to never criticises Israel despite the latter’s clear and present culpability in many of the issues InfoWars purports to address. But this is the same as many other sites I occasionally reference here, such as the Sorcha Faal site What Does It Mean which is run by Naval Intelligence.
    
    But just because these sites are like that does not mean, as idiots hallucinate, that every single thing on them is always 100% false. Morons who conclude that merely demonstrate they’re incapable of holding two conflicting ideas in their head at the same time: i.e. (for your benefit stephie) they’re completely thick. This is because propaganda doesn’t work unless there’s kernals of truth scattered within it. If the whole thing was totally based on palpable falsehoods, the only people who’d believe it are people so profoundly thick they’d make you look like a genius by comparison. And there aren’t too many of those around, are there stephie.
    
    So it’s only when I see something from those sites that has a more than usual smattering of truth in it that I bother posting it here. This was one of those.

  win or lose, perhaps the most positive thing to come out Trump’s campaign is the awakening that people have had over just how controlled and corrupt the MSM is. There is no longer any attempt at objectivity. Their whole raison d’être in this “election” is to smear and discredit Trump. They don’t even feint objectivity.

That enabled the Banksters to create unlimited Fiat to lend to the masses as an interest bearing debt to themselves.
  
  The whole purpose of ever inflating house prices is to keep the paper ponzi scheme going and to get as money people into debt before the the whole scheme collapses; due to the sheer impossibility of serving exponentially increasing debt.
  
  Most don’t delve further into the rabbit hole than Trump/refugees/global warming etc, but at a minimum people should spend some time trying to understand the agenda the controlled MSM is pushing with respect to financial matters. The agenda being pushed is everywhere.

Apparently a few old dears attended an Exit meeting in a Lower Hutt suburb & were breath tested on departure. Fair enough but the names & addresses they were forced to provide were later used by police investigating the organisation.

The influence exerted by the Godnutters & control freaks is scary. At a time when it takes Ministerial commands to get police to investigate burglaries & ‘P’ is easier to buy than ice cream somehow there are resources to waste by interrogating old ladies discussing their eventual deaths.

  nasska, on the suface of that story, it sounds like a very worrying abuse of Police powers. But we shouldn’t accept at first blush anything that emanates from Stuff or the Herald.
  
  Now that the story is out there, we’re entitled to hear a public explanation of the facts from the Commissioner of Police. And I hope that Police Minister Judith Collins is asking her own pertinent questions of the Commissioner.

    Police have been asked who requested the roadblock, why the roadblock was in the spot – at the bottom of Dowse Dr, just west of the Dowse interchange – at the time, and whether anyone stopped was over the limit.
    
    They were asked whether it was standard procedure to seek identification before a breath test, and whether the checkpoint was part of Operation Painter, in which several elderly women have been visited by police asking about their involvement with Exit International.
    
    Police said the questions would have to be asked under the Official Information Act, which allows 20 working days for a response.

  It’s a bit like the police position on alcohol licensing – trying to force their hours/open door policy to diminish the economic viability of outlets.
  
  Whereby police act in their own interest, less people drink the easier their job – so they exercise their power to serve their own agenda.
  
  In this case, excluding political influence, you have a commander doing the same because of their interest in managing activity in this area (reduce future police workload – investigation and prosecution of those involved in assisted death). An attitude that would job legitimise any private opinion (as above where closet prohibitionists would enjoy their police power to impose their will).

    Ah the police do not like night shift and they are still pissed with this Govt. because one of the first things required of them by the then new National Govt. was to use their resources at the time crimes were being committed or people were out of control. That meant a big roster change because most of them were working days with only skeleton crews at night.

  Members of society going about their day should not become pawns in the perceived political hot potato of dying with dignity. What the hell has got into the cops that they are chasing shadows and not out dealing with the myriad of real criminals.

    They’re not, they’re gathering intelligence, as they do on any movement that has the potential to become subversive.
    
    The fact that jane and joe public don’t understand how such a movement as this could possibly be subversive is simply a reflection of the fact they do not think like security professionals, rather than a demonstration that in this case, the police are wrong.
    
    I actually happen to think they are in fact wrong in this case BTW, but that’s why the police did this. And quite frankly, I’d rather have the security apparatus overreact than underreact, if there has to be a choice.

If you do not understand the inherent chilling nature of that thought process in the hands of someone with the resources and ability to act in this manner, then I hope you never find yourself in a position where you are legally challenging a status quo or belief that such a person may take issue with.

        I know much more about the security state than any of the sheeple sr indeed most of my posts here are on one aspect or another. All of which are downticked vigourously by the idiot sheeple possibly because they think I’m hallucinating or worse, deliberately lying about it. So quite how you allege “I don’t understand the chilling nature” of it I’m not sure.
        
        As I said above, the sheeple don’t understand the mindset of security professionals and they don’t. I on the other hand do and I also understand the mindset of terrorists. This is not because I have been either one but because I have troubled to study the history, methods and techniques of both. Study which the sheeple could also do but don’t, and the issue is, the fools think they understand both when they actually have no idea and this is demonstrable from their palpably naive comments on the topic.
        
        As I also said above, I do think they were wrong in this particular case but from a public safety perspective, if a mistake has to be made in the first place then I’d rather they erred on making it on the one side than getting it wrong on the other. And I think that’s quite a reasonable position to take given the consequences of erring mistakenly on the side they have erred (i.e. nothing) vs the consequences of erring on the other (i.e. innocent deaths). Sorry that a few disagree with that but then that just proves the point I made about most sheeple not having the first clue about the subject.

Hillary Clinton’s Strategic Ambition In A Nutshell. “Regime Change” in Russia… Putin is an Obstacle

It has become crystal clear.

For the record, here it is.

She has big ambitions, which she does not spell out for fear of frightening part of the electorate, but which are perfectly understood by her closest aides and biggest donors.

She wants to achieve regime change in Russia.

She enjoys the support of most of the State Department and much of the Pentagon, and Congress is ready to go.

The method: a repeat of the 1979 Brezinski ploy, which consisted of luring Moscow into Afghanistan, in order to get the Russians bogged down in their “Vietnam”. As the Russians are a much more peace-loving people, largely because of what they suffered in two World Wars, the Russian involvement in Afghanistan was very unpopular and can be seen as a cause of the collapse of the Soviet Union.

This led to the temporary reign of the drunken Boris Yeltsin who – as recounted in Strobe Talbott’s memoirs – was putty in the hands of Bill Clinton. Hillary would like to renew that sort of relationship. Putin is an obstacle.

The new version of this old strategy is to use Russia’s totally legal and justifiable efforts to save Syria from destruction in order to cause enough Russian casualties to incite anti-Putin reaction in Russia leading to his overthrow. (Note State Department spokesman John Kirby’s recent warning that Russia will soon be “sending troops home in body bags”.)

That is the prime reason why the United States is doing everything to keep the Syrian war dragging on and on. The joint Syrian-Russian offensive to recapture the rebel-held Eastern sections of Aleppo might lead to an early end of the war. U.S. reaction: a huge propaganda campaign condemning this normal military operation as “criminal”, while driving ISIS forces out of Mosul with attacks from the East, so that they will move westward into Syria, to fight against the Assad government.

Ukraine is another theater for weakening Putin.

Hillary Clinton’s ambition – made explicit by her own and her close aides’ statements about Libya in emails at the time – is to gain her place in history as victorious strategist of “regime change”, using open and covert methods (“smart power”), thus bringing recalcitrant regions under control of the “exceptional, good” nation, the United States.

This ambition is backed by possession of nuclear weapons.

I am by no means saying that this plan will succeed. But it is very clearly the plan.

The electoral circus is a distraction from such crucially serious matters.

  Clinton would not be satisfied with just being the first woman president. She would also want to be remembered as a great president.
  
  Who are the presidents that get remembered? Wartime presidents.
  
  War is also the solution for all the impossible lollies she’s been offering. People are prepared to make concessions during a war.

    I disagree. Three reasons: the most highly regarded President of recent times is Clinton who didn’t have a ‘big’ war and the least well regarded is Bush who invaded Iraq, and we all know how well that turned out. Secondly, because of Bush and Iraq the US is massively in debt and can’t afford another ‘big war’. Thirdly, after so long involved in ‘big wars’ (Iraq and Afghanistan) and ‘low intensity’ wars such as Libya for over 15 years, I think that the American population has had enough.
    I would suggest that if Clinton wants to be remembered as a great President, she should concentrate on re-building the economy and growing the number of jobs.

      The Clinton thing has been they turned a deficit to a surplus and started to reduce debt in the 90’s. Thus she will not blow out the deficit (not that Congress will let her).
      
      Otherwise she wants to sort Obama care out, remake it her way and also improve access/reduce the cost of tertiary education. Not the sort of focus of a war-time President.
      
      She will just continue the Obama fade out from activism. IS will be a gone. The civil war in Syria will come to an end. The only states to go through the Arab spring (which the US could not ignore or oppose after their democratic regime change in Iraq rhetoric) and then absorb that impact and move on are in the Gulf, where American activism is unlikely.
      
      European policy is based on sanctions to contain Russia in the east. Whether they have any variant of this for China – given South China sea, east of China territorial/hegemony ambition time will tell.

    Do you not see immigration policy as a key to mobilising the serial non-voters of past elections, who care about this issue, but no candidate was offering what they wanted? This is what boosted the participation in the Republican Primary process to record levels.
    
    I would suggest that if the Democrats were serious about stopping Trump, Hillary would actually promise to simply uphold the principle of government’s first responsibility to its citizens: secure the borders, and catch return the illegals to where they came from. Why is this so “controversial”? I thought Kiwis generally support our policing of “overstayers” – why the difficulty to understand Americans who simply want a government to do the same, perfectly right thing?
    
    The politically correct madness has gone so far in the USA, that there are “sanctuary cities” – all run by P.C. Democrats – that refuse to co-operate with Federal authorities in the policing of the illegal immigration issue. One of Trump’s policy suggestion is to withhold Federal funding for a variety of things, from these cities. Again, why should this be “controversial”? NZ doesn’t have a single city that would dream of obstructing the NZ Police in its duty of arresting and deporting overstayers – who are the scofflaws on this issue in the USA? The P.C. spur of the moment,” and I just finished off my conversation about the
crime that I did. When I finished the conversation about what I’d done
he told me that he’d been planning his for a while and that she had it
coming to her.

accused say anything to you about waiting for something in his Court
processes?
X. Um, yeah, he told me that he was waiting for an appeal to go through.

Now X made a dvd at the behest of the dimwits we call police in this country. In it he describes Lundy in civilian clothes saying he was waiting for an appeal. Then prosecutor Morgan called an impeccable witness with detailed logs showing the only time they were in the same locale was while Mark Lundy’s 2002 trial was wrapping up. The weekdays he was in court, the weekends were logged as available.
And only remand prisoners wear mufti. Colour coded prison garb is immediate on conviction.
So both dates and prison garb show Lundy was on trial.
Further, this guy during the 18 months discussing with the police how to help shoehorn Lundy back inside was going through a jury trial himself. He is a career criminal who understands the difference between trials and appeals.

Justice France then told the jury to figure whether this was all true. Well since they couldn’t figure Amber’s stomach contents had her dead before midnight and there was 30 liters insufficient petrol to get to the crime, despite a police witness confirming it, good luck with that.

Witness X is a sordid disgrace for all parties involved.

I kept it as brief as I could, this enduring hoax must be exposed for the safety of New Zealanders.

    Great research Tom. I will have to console myself with watching on TV; those prices would completely blow the budget out. I will have to try and pick up some Cubs merchandise though, but I would imagine even that will be selling at grossly inflated prices.
    
    We arrive in Chicago just before Game 3 (Friday night), so we will try to swing by Wrigley Field at some point of Saturday or Sunday just to experience the vibe on the streets outside. There’s a feast of sport in the Windy City while we’re there; two Bulls games, three Blackhawks games and an NFL game at Soldier Field. We’re spoiled for choice!

      You can get the Red Line El from downtown and hop off at the Addison station for a direct, quick walk to Wrigley Field, and then cruise around the local area. The Red has had “issues” in recent years on stations north of the Addison Street station, but with the crowds expected you’ll be fine.
      
      I’d avoid the NFL game. Admittedly my NFL watching was never great and has fallen away further over the years – but the Bear’s are just dreadful this year. They may only win one game. I guess you could regard it as an experience! I’ve been to Soldier Field for one NFL pre-season game and for the 1994 World Cup soccer matches. It is a very cool stadium.
      
      I’d hit a Blackhawks game. One of the best NHL teams, they’ve won quite a few Stanley Cups in the last few years and remain strong. Also Ice Hockey crowds are like nothing else – animals! Okay, that’s a little unfair and, like Rugby, the fighting has been vastly toned down in recent decades, as has the bloodlust of the crowds.
      
      Bulls? I’ve not followed them since Jordan and the gang retired, although they seem like a goodish team at present. But it’s indoor like the Hawks, and I just think the latter would be a better fan experience right now.
      
      Oh – one last thing. Get your bearings as soon as you hit the city. It makes it easy given the N-S, E-W layout of the city.
      
      Do NOT go further South than the bottom of downtown, and do NOT go West beyond Greektown.

        Hm – one addendum. The great museums lie to the South – but basically you get to all of them via South Lake Shore Drive. The corridor around that is fine.
        
        Museum of Natural History is good and the Museum of Science and Industry – the U-Boat exhibit is quite breathtaking the first time you see it. And don’t miss the Art Institute. Just South of the river on Michigan Avenue it’s an easy walk from anywhere in downtown and it’s a great art place. Always changing and always interesting displays – and then of course they have all their Monet’s.

        The “South” thing can be a little confusing, as it’s the near South Side areas that are the problem. Push just a mile or so beyond that belt and you’re into areas that look no different to where we lived on the North Side – Bridgeport, the home of the Irish and the Daley family, being the classic example. Still have a couple of friends who’ve lived there all there lives – and yes, they’re White Sox fans who will not be cheering on the Cubbies under any circumstances.

        Not well at all. I really love the city, but it is also a frigging corrupt mess. The pension schemes for Teachers especially are just killing the schools, as cash is diverted to top up – and the courts have prevented any changes being made to deals done forty years ago.       Nah – as I said last year, the Curse of the Goat was always pretty piss-weak compared to that of the Bambino. Now that had some real, historic and existential heft to it. Being yelled at by an old guy with a billy goat is nothing.
      
      Anyway, one of the jokes here is that I already feel like we’ve won the World Series – even if we don’t. By that I mean that winning the NL Pennant already felt like every piece of bad luck, curse, whatever you want to call it – had slid off my back. I should say “our” backs, judging from my wife’s Facebook page, a lot of fans are feeling this way. It’s very strange considering there’s one more step to get, and it’s not the arrogance of thinking the WS is in the bag, it’s just a feeling that this Game 6 was the key moment, even if the actual games and series itself turned on key moments in the field.
      
      The emotions that have been rocking and rolling the city in the last 24 hours are beyond belief: I’m getting only the barest hints of it here – and it seems to be spread well beyond the confines of the city, due entirely to that “America’s Team” storyline that the WGN owners pushed in the 1980’s.
      
      The second joke is that …. I have absolutely NO idea about the Cleveland Indians. That’s not dismissing them, but I just have not followed the AL at all, beyound scanning the tables. I have no idea who their players are. What they’re like. Strengths and weaknesses? Just no clue.
      
      The third joke is that reading the comments of Indian fans has been an Orwellian exercise: snark that runs along the lines of:
      Oh, the Big City boys are here. Chicago of three million people and vast riches. And the team that’s won it all since Opening Day. Arrogant sods. We’ll see about that.
      
      That’s right – we’re being cast by Indian fans as the equivalent of the Yankees??? Us? We’re arrogant? Our team is? We’re supposed to just roll over the top of them and win it all – but the underdogs could surprise us and ….. Wait, wait. Your talking to “us”. To Cubs fans. Don’t you understand that we’ve never thought like that in our entire, godforsaken lives?
      
      It’s pretty funny.

It looks like USA money is trying to effectively undermine ( no pun intended) the Australian economy. Who is at the centre of it –Podestra and since he is so high up the chain everyone else must be complicit.

The Australian newspaper is running a series of articles on it ( sorry I’m not a subscriber to be able to give links). So quotes from a couple of articles on the issue:

While Podestra and others at the top may not have organised it it is clear they knew about it.

  Actually it is more complicated than that. There is big money bankrolling anti-fossil-fuel extraction in the US itself, probably the same big money. The interests involved here are not motivated by wanting to boost US producers at Australian expense; they are motivated by wanting to boost the old OPEC club at the expense of the US, Australia, and anyone else involved in undermining the racket by way of new economies of extraction.

  He had the guts to tackle the housing issue in Australia with some good work pointing out clips of Aussie politicians saying EXACTLY the same about housing as our politicians.They talk about not enough supply and freeing up more land.Pushing the solution on to the states by way of threats about legislation supposedly preventing building enough houses.
  BUT
  As Bolt points out (the same as here in NZ) the problem is being caused by IMMIGRATION.

    I am saddened by the difficulty of the sheepies in this country, to “get the point” on housing and urban planning. They are paying for their “boredom” already, but that is nothing to what the future holds.
    
    Hugh did not have to repeat himself ad nauseum to some of us: we “got it” with his first couple of explanations a decade ago. Owen McShane and Don Brash were clear; even John Key himself was saying the right things in 2007 about housing supply, the RMA, and the housing affordability problem for which the then Clark government was responsible.
    
    Some of us are spewing at the “invasion of the body snatchers” that has infected Kiwis on this issue, it is worse than mere “sheepie” syndrome. It actually looked, in 2008 and even in 2005, as if a change of government would result in common-sense prevailing. I don’t know what is to be expected of honourable advocates like Hugh Pavletich under these trying conditions. He should just give up and live his last years in comfortable retired leisure, with his conscience clear that “he tried”?

This morning Chris Lynch from News Talk ZB had announced that he was about to interview an American commentator about Trump who was in trouble because of another female coming forward and Clinton who was in serious trouble with her emails.

After introducing a female commentator from “Fox & CNN” they only spoke about how bad Trump was doing.

As Fox and CNN have an extreme hatred for each other I think Lynch stuffed up there. CNN is known as Clintons Network News.

Looks like everyone in the Media apart from Fox has written Trump off and is no longer balanced with their news presentation.

        Yeah, the Kurds seem like a rare case in that part of the world, of a population sub-set who will in fact settle down to responsible, progressive self-government if given the chance. All the rest of them seem to default to persecuting / fighting everyone else, civil war ending in more brutal dictatorship than the preceding, and exporting terror. Sorry for the cynicism, but I have seen enough decades of evidence now to lead me to this conclusion. I though Dubya’s Iraq nation-building experiment had a small chance, but Afghanistan no chance whatsoever. I would rate a self-governing “Kurdistan” as far and away the most likely successful experiment if it ever happens, and the main problem would be its powerful opponents all around it, not least the Turks.

      No. Because Ukraine is now an independent state, as is Syria.
      
      Andrei’s inference is the claimed independence of Donetsk – they make no claim as yet to be part of Russia. (Luhansk has claimed the same for itself).
      
      They are separatists from Ukraine, their claimed independence is to gather status for their self-government (as per the Crimea parliament), then hold a referendum to join Russia – to force an agreement on new Ukraine/Russia borders (including countryside between Donetsk and Luhansk).
      
      Russia’s support for these separatists, is inconsistent with military support for Syrian government control over all of Syria, if that includes Kurdish areas.

        Thanks for the explanation, this is a complex muddle, isn’t it? I didn’t assume Andrei’s comment to be in support of Donetsk independence; merely pointing out that this movement exists and could cause some kind of meltdown yet. But I don’t know Andrei like the more regular participants on Kiwiblog do. I did find the poetry quite moving.

        After Russia lost the battle for the hearts and minds of the Ukrainian people (who chose the EU), I had no problem with the majority Russian areas within Ukraine advocating for changes to the borders with Russia and this being determined by plebiscite. Better this than local Russian and Kremlin displeasure leading to fighting.
        
        This is what should have happened when Yugoslavia broke up, plebiscites to establish new Serbian borders – rather than fighting for a greater Serbia.
        
        Anyone with a brain in Kiev could have arranged for the sale of Crimea and eastern Ukraine to Russia for some money (debt repayment) or permanent cheap supply of gas. Instead they have lost Crimea, and their economy is shot.
        
        One wonders whether the Russia’s backing for the Syrian government will include joining Turkey in bombing the Kurds – who have done most of the fighting against IS in Syria.

    ‘To be clear: Donald Trump insulted the Catholic church last night at the Al Smith dinner in a way that was far worse than anything ever emailed to John Podesta. Completely misunderstanding the nature of an otherwise splendid evening, unable to let the generosity of the event temper his snarls, he became, appropriately, the first candidate in the history of the dinner to be booed.
    
    Inadvertently, Trump provided a moral lesson to the entire country and, one hopes, to the leaders of the church who hosted the evening. He is a boor and worse than a boor. I know it is the Year of Mercy and I pray daily to be less judgmental, but he is a bad person. After months of trying to analyze why he does what he does, why he says what he says, it comes down to this: He is a bad person. You don’t want him at your party.       cha, an insult at a roast is one thing, the Catholic church supports (or should support) Trump as the lesser of two evils even just as far as abortion goes. Hillary has promised to free up abortion even more and is pretty much in favour of it at any stage before the baby is born. Doesn’t matter to her. Trump, on the other hand, has promised to nominate pro-life Justices of the Supreme Court, and that is way more than enough reason to vote for Trump over Hillary.

        Catholics recognise that Luther had some valid points – of his 93 treatises, the Church recognised that – I think off hand – that 45 of them were correct.
        However, the problem with our dear heretic Martin was not so much that the Church disagreed on procedural or corruption issues but doctrinal issues.
        You may note that the Catholic Church and the Lutheran community are having ongoing discussions – they have already come to common ground over the ‘Justification Issue’ – which are proving fruitful.
        Long may it continue, along with the many thousands of differing communities of our Protestant brothers in Christ.

Days after Gable Tostee was cleared of killing New Zealander Warriena Wright, the 30-year-old’s explanation for her death, and his proclamation of innocence, are back in the spotlight

Now that the trial is over, the post has been revisited by international media seeking clues to what happened that night.

On December 10, 2014, Tostee posted a 2300-word account to a bodybuilding forum, titled “Regarding the balcony tragedy”.

In it, he detailed his version of events, including why he had secretly recorded the pair in his apartment, why he locked Wright outside, and why he went to get pizza an hour after Wright died.

    Well it was his story and looking at the results the Jury considered that it was true.
    
    My reason for posting it was to point out the variance between the MSM ( which indeed published all kinds of stories), and what would seem to be the view of the jury.
    I thought myself that he wasn’t squeaky clean but shit does happen especially when booze is sloshed around.
    There was no mention of any other drugs at all.
    There is no knowing the female mind.
    So in balance he has a right to express his side of the story which seems to tally with what the Jury also thought. Had there been anything else then you can be sure the police would have bought it out.
    In reality he should at the most have been charged with detaining a person but even then it became about the safety issues and the destruction of his apartment.
    The question to ask yourself is “do you think he threw over the side?’ If not then the scene seems to have played out as supported by his recording.
    
    Another thing to ask is” had he not gone to the police voluntarily would they have known which apartment she fell from?’.
    Had he tossed her over I would think he would have made himself very scarce.
    
    Just sometimes white men are not to blamefor everything that happens..

        You are absolutely entitled to that opinion. BUT, how was that opinion formed. I’d suggest through what was reported by the MSM right or wrong.
        
        As i said didn’t think he was squeaky clean but his behavoir is no different to thousands of others even in your own town but certainly on the Gold Coast and many “holiday towns” like it.
        You can be sure the police gave his apartment a thorough going over so if there was anything else involved they would have found it.
        
        The police had his story and paraded it in front of the Jury because they had nothing else and it was essentially verified by the phone recording and other camera’s.
        
        Not approving of him nor what happened for I thought it probable for manslaughter and when discussing it with a fellow I was working with he made the observation that some of the chicks are bloody psycho, especially when tanked up. He had experienced it during his travels in the Navy and of course it is often demonstrated on the telly during late night policing. Interesting that he thought that the result would be what it was.

“The reality is the Affordable Care Act is no longer affordable to increasing numbers of people.”

Muhahahahaha. Moron. He’s been backpedaling ever since, but as the article points out:

local Democrats are so worried about MNSure’s [(Minnesota’s version of the Affordable Care Act)] unpopularity that they are calling for a special session prior to the election to try to fix the problems with the statute.

As usual it will collapse back onto the taxpayers – just like the Wall Street bailouts did, but you won’t see any screaming from the Left about this. A huge part of the reason is that the IT is still stuffed, which is hardly a surprise; crap requirements naturally came from crap regulations designed to paper over the cracks of crap law. But the bigger part will be the health care costs themselves. As the article summarises:

Has there ever been a comprehensive failure to match Obamacare? It has driven up the cost of health care, made it illegal for people to buy cheaper coverage with fewer mandates, eaten up many billions of federal tax dollars, wasted uncounted billions in state income and sales taxes. And now it is driving up property taxes because the program’s failures have to be dealt with by counties.

It’s the worst US domestic policy clusterfuck I know of. You’d have to return to the Sedition Act in the early 19th century to find something equal.

  But as bad as its consequences were, even after repeal, I’d argue that Obamacare will be worse for the same reasons and the fact that it’s affecting such a huge portion of the US economy. Health care spending is like 1/6 of GDP, so screwing that even worse means the effects are going to be with the US for a long time.
  
  I also have laugh at one of the worst nightmares of the US Right-wing, which is also one of the fondest dreams of the US Left-wing – that this failure will allow the rise of a US NHS. They couldn’t even pull that off in the tiny Leftish enclave of Vermont

Excellent article on the piece of excrement known as Bob Creamer, recently forced to step away from the Democratic party’s 2016 campaign by O’Keefe’s videos. Stanley Kurtz spent years digging into the Chicago detail behind Obama’s rise to power, and not only did the MSM not want to know anything about it, they had no problems when he was shouted down – including organised phone-ins to radio stations – everytime he went in for a discussion of what he’d uncovered.

As the years have passed the MSM wheeze is that this has morphed into “old news” and the Alinsky connections are “exaggerated” and “more Right-wing fantasies”. But as Kurtz demonstrates with Creamer’s recent uncovering, all the tactics are alive and well:

Creamer was a key figure in the work of Chicago’s community organizer training center, the Midwest Academy, to which Obama had close ties.

The Midwest Academy was founded by die-hard socialists who had once been part of the radical 60s SDS (Students for a Democratic Society). An influential figure in Saul Alinsky’s early Chicago operations, Creamer worked with the Midwest Academy’s founders to persuade young socialist revolutionaries in the 70s to adopt a more “pragmatic” Alinskyite stance. In other words, Creamer helped persuade these young revolutionaries to organize, and provide quiet socialist guidance, to movements that were liberal in appearance, yet radical in their ultimate intentions and effects.

Which makes the MSM “disinterest” even more important. You can’t get away with this shit if it’s widely publicised.

In Radical-in-Chief, and in my follow up, Spreading the Wealth (see Chapter 3, esp. pp. 59-63), I show how Obama played public good cop during his days in the Illinois legislature, while coordinating behind the scenes with Alinskyite allies who used questionable voter registration tactics, and even intimidated Obama’s Republican legislative rivals at their homes. Given the latest videos, it’s hard not to wonder how much of this sort of thing is going on today, and perhaps with some of the same players as in Obama’s Illinois years.

Again, this shit was hardly secret in Chicago – outside the MSM. Anybody involved in any way with politics in the city knew about it. It just never got publicity.

In 2007, Robert Creamer published Stand Up Straight! How Progressives Can Win, a tactical handbook for the left that he wrote while serving a prison term for tax evasion and bank fraud.

Remember that this guy was/is still heavily involved in Democrat Party politics, and has visited the White House 342 times, including 40 “personal” visits with Obama. What a surprise.

Standard stuff in some respects, and as old as the hills, but playing in a new media world. That’s a large part of why I want the MSM to die: it’s a lot harder for the Left to create such echo chambers of “shunning” and abuse in the online world – although Facebook and Twitter come close.

Finally there’s the War On Cops. A cop with the pyseudonym, “Jack Dunphy”, has one of his insider looks at this, Oh, That War on Cops.

He takes on Radley Balko’s out-of-date data defence that claimed there was no such thing, pointing out that in 2016 the increase in cops killed is up by 55%. Now that’s still “only” 46 cops in a country of 300 million +, but clearly something has changed, and that something are the racists in the Black Lives Matter movement.

What Dunphy really gets stuck into is the appeasing attitude of the Police leaders across the US. Anybody who has been a cop will understand the politics involved as people rise to become Police Chief (or in NZ, Police Commissioner), and how disconnected they can be from ordinary cops on the street:

On Monday, at the San Diego meeting of the International Association of Police Chiefs, the group’s president, Chief Terrence Cunningham, of the Wellesley, Mass., Police Department, issued an apology “for the actions of the past and the role that our profession has played in society’s historical mistreatment of communities of color.”

Nice. BLM must have pissed themselves with delight. As Dunphy pointed out:

People rise in their respective police departments to the extent they can (or convincingly pretend to) adopt the political views that dominate their local governments, and Chief Cunningham would seem a perfect fit for Wellesley, a prosperous suburb of Boston.

A few facts about the town: The black population is 2 percent; the median income in 2014 was $159,615; 82.2 percent of residents over age 25 have at least a bachelor’s degree and 48.5 percent have graduate degrees; and in 2012 the town voted 56 to 41 percent for Obama over Romney. When it comes to crime, the town hasn’t seen a murder in at least 14 years and averages only a handful of robberies and assaults annually.

In short, Chief Cunningham would not have a fucking clue as to what happens in the big US cities, and his comments were a typical “guilty – but please leave me alone” plea to the BLM activists from a rich, white, leftish area.

Journalists and contributors from just about every major media outlet have been exposed by Wikileaks of doing one or more of the following:

–Run stories past Clinton campaign officials for their approval.

–Offer help in framing stories to aid Clinton.

–Give Clinton advice and even a town hall question ahead of time.

–Actively root for Hillary.

–Attend dinner parties for campaign insiders and even throw them.

And that’s just the tip of the iceberg in the cozy, even incestuous relationships Wikileaks exposed.

I’ve not actually taken much notice of the great Wikileaks email scandal. From what I’ve seen it consists of Hillary’s staff involved in backbiting, snarling, shitty compromises and two-faced positions on the “issues”.

So far. So political.

But what I just read today was unintentionally hilarious – if one is in the mood for black humour:

Heather Samuelson was one of the Clinton aides who sifted through the private email server used during Clinton’s tenure at the State Department, and helped decide which would be designated as personal messages and which were work-related. That’s when the potential Chinese hacks may have taken place, because she used two laptops made by Lenovo, a company with ties to the Chinese government that has sold laptops for years with malware pre-installed on the computer.

What’s fascinating here is that the State Department had banned the use of Lenovo computers since 2009 for obvious reasons that clearly escaped poor Heather. Lenovos were sold with a program called “Superfish” that the Chinese themselves admitted in 2015 was “malware.” This wasn’t even subtle spying.

I don’t think the term “luddite” adequately covers the bone-headed stupidity of this woman. Did she know no one she could ask about Lenovo computers? Did she just not think to ask?

The Queen was naturally even more stupid:
