Yes, that one was good. I mean, come on – even if you like O’Reilly his self-promotion and lightweight books were a cottage industry!

    O’Reilly got a co-writer, Martin Dugard , to do most of the “Death of…” series. Readable, but the one on General Patton was pure moonshine conspiracy theory. Oh, yes, and then there was this exchange over “Killing Reagan” with George Will. IMHO Will, a conservative with wisdom, class and integrity (things that O’Reilly struggled to attain even in his best moments) wiped the floor with him, despite O’Reilly’s typical Star Chamber interrogation style.

Yep, fair do’s…even I get this one…and I’ve seen much worse drawing skills in cartoons…How Bromhead is still in print is a mystery to me…

I’m going to miss Bill on Fox News. He did have a way of getting to the heart of the matter and his blunt opinions were a welcome relief from cloying political correctness.

Unfortunately it seems that there were a lot of complaints about Bill and his treatment of women. Once the advertisers pulled out it was gonna be very difficult for Fox to keep him on.

I think he was undone by the left vendetta. His show was a daily hilight for me. With his last two books at 1 and 3 on the best seller list there seem to be a few of us who disagree with Kimbo’s review. He has done no end of good with his fundraising for the Vets unlike the personal enrichment scheme of the Clintons, though like .Slick Willy’ Clinton he may have feet of clay.

  Um, I implied I had read some of them so that makes me one of the “few”, and that they were “readable”. And conspiracy theories make the top 10 list on a regular basis. As does also a load of shit that is lacking in literary merit – unless you want to argue whole forests were sacrificed in a good cause churning out, say, ‘The Da Vinci Code’, or ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’?!

Oh Dear. I despair when ideologues like Scott cannot recognise an arrogant opinionated biased boorish cretin like Our Bill. But then such is life within the self affirming echo chambers of Fox and sadly/lately more often than not, now on KB! When Fox and a moderated KB? decides to strive for some really “fair” and “no spin” argumentation maybe it will again be worth contributing.

Fat chance?

O’Reilly was the most popular entertainer of his type on cable TV in America, from what I understand.
Fox had forked out millions to settle sexual harassment claims on his behalf; no doubt hoping the crisis would blow over. However as soon as the advertisers deserted him in droves the network chucked him a pile of money too and told him to piss off, even though his numbers rose before his ‘holiday’.
Basically it’s an entertainment network and no matter how popular the stars or how important the message they have to bring in the bucks.
They’d dump Trump too, if the advertisers buggered off, although that’s not likely.
