Final 2017 election results
I’ll do more detailed posts later but the key takeaway is that Labour and Greens have both picked up a seat off National so the balance in Parliament now is:
- Centre Right – National 56 + ACT 1 = 57
- Centre Left – Labour 46 + Greens 8 = 54
- Centre – NZ First 9
You need 61 seats to form a Government. So possible options are:
- National/Labour = 112
- National/NZ First/ACT = 66
- National/NZ First = 65
- National/Greens = 64
- Labour/NZ First/Greens = 63
