My initial thought was that the picture depicted a road cone wearing a suicide vest.

The road cone was intentionally detonated by the bomb squad by firing a chuba chub lollipop at it from a distance.

I also wondered whether ‘Ccchl-OR-inate!’ is Alahu Akbar in Icelandic. (or Australian)

Or maybe I have an overactive imagination?

And that particular Dalek is drawn from one of the explosive-carrying ones that went to blow up the Movellan space ship in the 1979 Tom Baker story Destiny of the Daleks. But they were all grey in that story, and didn’t appear in red until the 2008 David Tennant story The Stolen Earth.

Meanwhile in Auckland SCAM ALERT! A few years ago we bought a plug in sonic rodent deterrent. It cost a few bucks and has proved to be totally useless. Since we plugged it in rodents have buggered the pipes of our dishwasher, shower and now the fridge. Last night a large grey rattie in the kitchen frightened me off to bed. I phoned the head of this conning company a couple of years ago wanting a refund and he used very corporate language to tell me to fuck off. If you see these ads ignore them; the only remedy is poison and lots of it. Rodents really don’t give a shit about “sonic waves.’

  As well as poisoning inside, it’s best to lay a barrier of baits in bird/pet proof stations around and under the house and in particular, near storm water and drainage inlet/outlets because rats use those pipes to get around. And keep it up.
