Labour MP fails at censorship attempt

MP Louisa Wall took Fairfax to court because she was offended by a they published, alleging they incited hostility towards and Pasifika.

The High Court has thankfully ruled that merely being offensive doesn't make it illegal, and has dismissed the appeal.

The threshold for speech to be illegal should be very very high. I am glad the High Court has recognised .
