It was good to be back at the protest yesterday.

It was much quieter than last Sunday, when I was there before. But that was no doubt because yesterday was still in the work week.

Actually, it was good to enjoy the peaceful vibe, and the chance to have relaxed conversations with other protesters. Oddly enough, there was no sign of the widespread faeces the top cops were again warning everyone about.

I went along Lambton Quay to meet my son for lunch, and it was good to note that fewer people are now wearing their muzzles. We went into the food court at Lambton Square and underwent the bizarre experience of me being refused service because I did not have a vax passport. I asked the server if my son, who was standing right next to me could show his instead, and that was ok it seems. I’m not sure if the server appreciated how absurd the whole episode was, but he might just have been over the whole silly rules thing.

Sadly, my son has drunk the cool aid and seems to be happy to be vaxxed, muzzled, constantly scanning-in and ready to show his vax passport. However, he seemed a bit subdued, so eventually I steered the conversation around to his mental health. He said he was ok, but had concerns about several of his mates. I didn’t tell him, but I can’t help thinking that the kids would be mentally stronger, if they had more of a rebellious spirit. Whatever happened to filial disrespect and some contempt for authority?

He also told me that he had been abused several times by protesters as he walked up Molesworth Street on his way to work. I told him I thought that was completely out of order, because the protest is about allowing people to make their own choices. I also apologised to him on behalf of the people who had abused him.

Back at the protest, there was a huge cheer when the High Court decision about the mandates was announced. I hope Stalinda can see the writing on the wall.

Back home on the train, I fell into conversation with an elderly couple (mid- to-late 70s?) and their friend. They recognised me as a fellow protester because I was wearing a Join the Resistance t-shirts I got online from The Platform.

They were great people and they were very cheerful, even though they had reason to be angry. The younger lady had been fired from her job as a hospital administrator because she had not been vaxxed, and the older lady had been sacked from her job as a volunteer at a charity shop. They told me about their faith, and it was obviously keeping them strong.

I’ll send another dispatch from the front line tomorrow.

If any fellow KBers sees me at the protest– blue jeans, black Join The Resistance t-shirt, 60s, 1.70m tall, and greying beard but bald on top – do say hello.

  Maybe tell the protesters who have taken to wearing tin foil hats that this is a strategy that is likely to backfire on them.
  Have already seen comments from friends (and media) rubbishing them and building up another negative, insulting scenario.
  The protesters may think this is just a piss take as nobody would take seriously the wearing of tinfoil hats, but the media does take it seriously and is only too happy to use it against them.

    I make point of walking round the camp on litter duty.

      I was there last weekend – saw a group of 5 people wearing tinfoil hats, which I thought was a bit of comedy. Agreed these people detract but only because of biased unbalanced coverage.
      
      So now legacy media is reporting that the protestors ie 5 of thousands, are wearing tinfoil hats, alongside all the other ‘facts’ about the protestors:
      – white supremiscists
      – violent
      – overseas imports
      – feral
      – unsanitary
      – bad parents for taking children
      – faecal matter throwers
      – acid throwers
      The only sad thing about this is that people still don’t see it for what it is. The Labour Party Propaganda Press hard at work.
      
      Then you get those in the media who talk down to those of us that call this out. So just tell me the answer to one question – “what customer is the biggest source of revenue for our legacy media?” Because from where I sit all the government advertising revenue* over the past two years, + the COVID response media funding wouldn’t have been bettered by anyone else. And they can claim independence as much as they like, but everyone knows in business the customer is always right, particularly when they are the biggest customer.
      
      Advertising revenue for – 3 waters, COVID public service announcements, vacations, would have far exceeded the other millions thrown out for through the public interest journalism fund.
      
      Legacy media are not the team of $55M or $105 million. With all commercial revenue I think we would be shocked to know what has been spent on government propaganda.

Can I suggest you leave your sealed up home, don that “safe” mask if necessary, and head down to any protest and see for yourself.       Doesn’t the Sale of Goods Act or its successor demand “fitness for purpose”? And is it not impossible to contract out of a breach of the law?
      If so, could Pfizer still carry liability within NZ for false or misleading claims about their product. If they made no claims then weren’t they obliged to comment negatively about claims made by others (eg Government and its Ministers of NZ)?
      I find it hard to believe that there can be no case.

      Anna De Buisseret is ex-military now lawyer in UK. She has written and served legal papers on a number of institutions in the UK warning them about future consequences of vaccine mandates. She does not believe under UK law, which is also the basis of NZ law, that the contract with Pfizer is legal. Thus Pfizer can still face the music.   I heard Luxon being interviewed this morning by Jamie Mackay on Newstalk ZB, and I have to say that he continues to irritate and disappoint me.
  
  Luxon has clearly not bothered to understand who the protesters at parliament are, and why they are there.
  
  Instead, he tars all protesters with the same brush, implying they are all like the scumbags on the fringe, who are abusive to mask wearers. (Don’t get me wrong, I think the scumbags should be dealt with very firmly).
  
  Luxon needs to understand that the vast majority of the protesters are typical of other Kiwis, and they overwhelmingly vote right or centre’s left. Moreover, they have a lot of support in the wider population.
  
  He needs to prove he deserves the support of the centre, and he’s not doing that.

  I feel for those who had to die alone.
  The relations not allowed to attend funerals.
  Those trapped overseas.
  The thousands of businesses that went under.
  infants denied access tosocial cues.
  Teenagers who have not had schoolng.
  Nurses, Doctors teachers ridiculed and hounded from their careers.
  Firefighters told the same.
  The mentally weak who have lived in terror of an unseen threat for two years.
  I feel sorry for those trusting souls who put their faith in narcissistic figureheads who turned out to be hollow scarecrows, hell-bent on furthering their own petty, narrow ambitions, while they cheerfully (Yep, yep) threw their whole society onto a massive funeral-pyre of their own vanity.
  
  But mostly I feel for the generations of kiwis who will be forced to sacrifice security, ambitions and opportuities for a good life because they will be made to pay for these peoples’ deluded selfishness, while the same ‘elite’ will simply find other ways to parasitise our once great nation.

        The word on the “Street” Kevn is the government is panicking if the wells drilled now do not succeed.
        
        These are the last “hurrah” and agreement entered prior to the PM’s “nuclear” moment.
        
        Other Oil Majors handed in there prospects after the Nuclear announcement and rest assured are not coming here any time soon.
        
        Now issues overseas with refineries and prices of which NZ is not immune.
        
        Ask yourself what would happen if we got a bad batch of fuel via tanker to NZ ? Quite likely and definately not the first time either.
        
        Through in the fact Silver Fern Tankers are no longer to operate and relying on “foreign” tankers to keep NZ afloat.

  While the war against the virus is almost over, the real war is still ongoing.
  
  The psychological harm that has been inflicted is immeasurable. We have not even started the healing process in this.
  
  Talking to people at the protest last week, the way they have been ostracised, made the morally inferior, excluded from society, family, work, sports, clubs. There is deep hurt there. The trust that has been broken may never be reclaimed.
  
  People betrayed by the organisations they voted and paid to represent them: unions, the government who they thought was representing them, their professional bodies, their employers.
  
  Meanwhile our leader in true narcissist style attacks those that show them up. Doubles down on the vilification. Continues to push booster mandates.
  
  Our country has been damaged, racially, socially, economically, morally, mentally, physically, it has beeen deeply damaged.
  
  The worst thing about this is that we don’t even recognise the state that we are in. When this war is over, who will be left to deal with this damage. And like other wars how many generations will this trauma effect our society?
  
  So ultimately the globalists will have won this battle and you can be assured that they are already planning and implementing the next phase of the war.

        You’ve also missed out the hundreds of thousands of people around the world who cried out for help with the AIDS crisis to a sometimes reluctant world, rather than the groups now which openly reject the medical science developed to prevent and reduce the effects of the danger.

      The Soviet Union broke up in 1991 after Gorbachev tried and failed to reform it. Later that same year, the leaders of Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus declared the Soviet Union no longer existed, and Gorbachev resigned his office.
      
      Ukraine was a member of the CIS trading group of former Soviet Union members until 2018.
      
      It’s going too far to say that Gorbachev had “nothing to do with” the splitting off of Ukraine. He was at the helm when the Soviet Union sailed on to the rocks.
      
      In a speech on Tuesday, Putin blamed previous Russian and Soviet leaders for separating Ukraine from Russia. The Washington Post says :
      
      “He seemed to blame Mikhail Gorbachev for permitting Ukrainian statehood as the Soviet Union slouched toward collapse.”
      
      That may be politically biased. To say that Gorbachev had nothing to do with splitting Ukraine from the Soviet Union, also seems biased.

The Govt/MoH is shifting the Covid statistical focus from total population case numbers to hospital case numbers. Population case numbers have become even more meaningless with Omicron as the official number only records those who have tested positive. Of course there are many times more infections in the community that have not been detected by testing.

A similar problem exists with hospital numbers. The statistic that really matters are those in hospital solely because of Covid. Many hospital cases will be people there for reasons other than Covid who just happen to have Covid.

So the daily announced numbers do not accurately indicate the additional “strain” that Covid patients are putting on the health system, although many of the uninformed are interpreting it as such. I suspect that the actual numbers of hospital Covid cases overstate the actual additional “strain on the system by a significant amount.

He has no particular skills & until listed by the scummy Green Party had never held down a well paying job in his life.

  It has given Wellington’s homeless population a place to go for shelter, free meals, toileting, and companionship, without the tiresome offers of assistance that they get if they turn up at the night shelters. Plus, there is homeopathic first aid available to treat any injuries.

The Opposition should be demanding that the hard earned taxpayer funds dished out to Maori and Pacifica over Covid be carefully and fully accounted for in an investigation.

The last $140 million is simply absurd, wasteful and unwarranted. The first lot funded a lot of equipment for various groups that will be redundant in a few weeks – equipment that could have been hired. But we need to know how much went to “consultants”. “advisors”, “managers” etc.

It is increasingly apparent that Willie Jackson and his motley mob have the Cabinet by the goolies and are squeezing very hard.

I’m double vaxxed and seeking a mild case of Omicron for its natural immunity before it potentially evolves into something worse again.

Getting a booster to prevent an illness that will provide better immunity than the supposed protection the booster
provides seems highly counterintuitive.

But being healthy with no immuno compromised comorbidities means I’m comfortable with the risk of hospitalization or death from Covid.

If I’m going to get it, I’d rather sooner than later…

I remember when

January 2022 property sales are stated to be the lowest in 11 years.
Eleven years ago the property market was still recovering from the global financial crisis.
In the last 12 months NZ housing sales, excluding Auckland, dropped 26.4% while Auckland was down by 32.2%.
So were the rises in house prices preventing a lot of sad stories about real estate agents having to look for another job.

Turns out that part of the reason the judge ruled as she did in the judicial review over mandates was because Minister Michael Wood made a cockup over issuing orders.

The first order made was ultra viries and had to be corrected later. That is basic stuff that a Minister should be able to get right without any bother but this guy is a complete clown who makes “useless” look like a virtue.

Just one more fail.

A small win for common sense. Wellington City Council partially rolls back evening & weekend parking charges. $5 per hour; 2 hour limits? Why would you bother going into town for that – you couldn’t even go to a movie in that time.

Still, five loonie councillors voted to retain the previous restrictions. Even after two years of the city centre being crucified by the response to COVID. Just goes to show that some people are terminally stupid.

I remember when

If you are become infected by covid and die within the next 28 days, you become a covid death.
A number of overseas analysts even suggest this is too short and should be extended.
So, if it takes four to eight weeks to die, has covid caused your death.
Haven’t you died because of your co-morbidities, with covid having placed extra stress on your body.
If you wouldn’t have died from covid if you had no co-morbidities – how has covid killed you.

  If someone is in a car crash, seriously injured, and is in a coma for weeks or months then dies because they’re 55+ and their body gives out, we don’t suddenly decide that they didn’t die due to the car crash.

[106] COVID-19 clearly involves a threat to the continuity of Police and NZDF services. That is because the Omicron variant in particular is so transmissible. But that threat exists for both vaccinated and unvaccinated staff. I am not satisfied that the Order makes a material difference, including because of the expert evidence before the Court on the effects of vaccination on COVID-19 including the Delta and Omicron variants.

As from 2 to 3 days ago, critical services can buy RATS tests from the Chemist Warehouse and other suppliers although stocks seem limited (the local one only had 10 boxes of 20) and they’re more expensive than the prices mentioned in the media now.
So try to scrub it off the “to do,” moaner’s list.

Is it any good?
Four family members have followed test cricket, in particular, for most of their lives. They love it.
They havn’t spent the extra money to get spark as they already pay for Sky sports – their choice of course.
Anybody think Sky will eventually get local cricket back on their channels?

On Newshub Nation. Our PM on PCR testing capabilities and the baseline of 58k and surging to 77K/day tests capacity was based on a low positive. As discussed previously the capacity is based on pool samples testing. Why would 50-80k be going daily to get tested unless there was an outbreak ?? We just have so much time to sit at testing stations for 2-4 hours just to be tested because there is isolated covid outbreaks.

Gisborne Forestry 2022:
In January production rose back to normal levels.
Log prices have improved markedly from year-end but although they continued to rise were below projected levels.
Chinese log demand has fallen but, because of short-term supply issues, there has been an unexpected improvement in trade terms.

Preaching DNA disaster might get tiring in a few years time, although I imagine they’ll jump onto some new conspiracy rant.

Global warming is a bit boring, given the glacial pace of warming. Although, mildly amusing to watch the alarmists and deniers poke insults at each other from time to time (alarmists and deniers are equally as bad).

I remember when

There has been a lot of discussion about the intelligence of the non-vaccinated population.
Figures suggest that between 2000 and 2019, vaccines saved approximately 2 million lives a year.
So on a global scale vaccines prevent the deaths of around .029% of the population.
With the exception of influenza and those required for overseas travel, most adults may never receive one.
Vaccinations almost always occur in childhood, prior to turning five, when those being vaccinated have no say in the process.
The publicly funded dosages for influenza covers about 700,000 (about 50%).
I am just guessing, but, I suspect that the great majority of the rest are funded by employers, trying to reduce winter staff absenteeism.
Most people who don’t get it for free – don’t get vaccinated for the flu.
So that is hardly the ringing endorsement of vaccination that the media would have us believe exists.

Received the std text from Dr Bloomfield thanking me for getting vaccinated, advising my booster was now due and advised me to book. He was obviously ignorant of the fact that I had my booster on Dec 1 last year. So logged on and was able to book for March 4 which I have since cancelled. My question is why could I be able to book for a 4th shot?

  I was there and was told it was a lawful march with Police controls. A huge, good spirited crowd that stretched from one side of the bridge to the other. Police and Ambos along the way we’re mostly relaxed and many showing covert signs of support. So a good display of the minority. So many cars driving the other direction were waving, honking horns etc A few giving thumbs down, fingers – happy walking for their freedom too.
  
  Only worry was on the way down the bridge 2 paddy wagons, one rocking violently side to side. I was thinking “man they have a big guy in there.” Then I started feeling a bit sea sick and not altogether stable on my feet. Worked out it was the bridge, having massive wobbles. Many of us were so concerned we stepped off the clip on lanes that we were meant to stay in. Took footage of the gap between the clip on and main bridge, was wobbling about 50+mm. That bridge isn’t in a good state of health – pity they didn’t spend some of the COVID response money on a new crossing.
  
  Anyway, will be interesting to see what gets reported. But that protest walk was awesome, the numbers are growing. The house of cards is beginning to show signs of impending implosion.

This is just delicious. Entitled, arrogant, jerk-off tries to bully, threaten and end the career of a very good cop who had the temerity to pull him over for speeding (57mph in a 40 zone) while texting. Gave him another ticket for failing to produce his registration, which he didn’t produce – telling her to “look it up” and then (after she gave him the ticket) produced an expired one!

His “apology” is as suspect as you’d imagine. He lied several times, on camera to the other officers and should have the book thrown at him. The irony of the Russian immigrant thing (which I don’t know if it’s true or not, she sure sounds local) is that he’s an arrogant, entitled, ex-pat Pom. And running for office, hahaha. A “career” move indeed.

I see Biden gave China intelligence on Russian troop buildups over months. They asked China to pressure Russia not to invade. China promptly gave the information to Russia, who used it for counterintelligence.

It is technically non impeachable to give critical intel to an adversary in this way, because the current President is not a Republican.

Commissars at NZ’s StateTV and State radio who are pushing the use of NZ Pidgin language (part-Maori, part-English) may be interested to know Ukraine has a pidgin language up and going.

Called Surzhyk, it’s a mix of Russian and Ukrainian. A Wikipedia article says data from 2003 indicated 11 to 18 per cent of the people of Ukraine communicated in Surzhyk. It was used least in in western Ukraine, where the Ukranian language is strongest.

According to the Langfocus language series on Youtube, excluding the Russian-controlled areas of Donetsk, Luhansk, and Crimea, 60 per cent of Ukrainians state Ukrainian is their native language, 15 per cent regard Russian their native language, and 22 per cent consider both Russian and Ukrainian are their native languages.

  It’s showing, wow, 1119.6 mV/M field strength.
  That’s 1.1196 V/M.
  
  There were claims that “4.5 was coming from top of beehive and 9.5 from british embassy”
  (no units given)
  
  NB that the 3.5GHz limit of that device means it will pick up mobile phone & 2.4GHz wifi, but not 5.8GHz wifi. The TM-196 goes up to 8GHz.
  
  Anyway, a pathetic ~1V/M is nothing in the scheme of things.

  And it’s a fairly cheap device. Looks impressive?
  
  By the way, as Richard Feynman pointed out in a lecture on atmospheric electricity, there is around 100 (to 300) V/M potential near ground level.
  
  But you don’t feel it.
  
  You don’t get electrocuted – the body is a good conductor and your head stays at 0V ground.
  And the air is a rather poor conductor unless it gets ionized.

Just knocked over the cruel and unusual punishment section of my Black Ops Red Level training course today,
This section is compulsory and no practice is allowed.
You have to listen to Tim Beveridge and Tim Roxborogh on ZB radio for one hour. You have a medic with you the whole time in case something goes wrong and he wears noise cancelling headphones.
The medic told me the reason for the one hour maximum is that some people have suffered permanent brain damage.
Anyway I was going along ok when all of a sudden they introduced a lady and said she was an award winning news reader. Whats that? I started freaking out and nearly blew it. I dug deep and just made it.
My Commanding Officer just emailed and congratulated me, he told me he always knew I was tough and said the failure rate is 97.4%.

Ukraine must be a big centre for foreigners’ university education, and without throwing in citizenship.

Reuters reports 76,000 foreign university students, mainly studying medicine, are in Ukraine. Of these, about 18,000 are from India.

The Indian Government is trying to evacuate Indian students from Ukraine.

In Western Ukraine, 2,000 Indian medical students at Ternopil medical university, are sheltering in basements.

Why are Ukrainians in NZ asking THIS government for support against Russia?

Our Prime Minister has more in common with Putin and his regime than any other Western leader !

She is a publically professed Communist, a well-documented enemy of so-called “capitalism” and a long-time supporter of socialist ideals by encouraging children and young people to follow suit.
My message to Ukrainians living in NZ: forget any support from Jacinda and her lot, and if they say anything to you then don’t believe a word you hear.

They give the impression that it’s only a handful of weirdos and nut-jobs who distrust the mainstream media … conveniently ignoring the many, MANY studies and reports over decades which show that in many countries, a fairly sizeable chunk of the population distrust them to some degree, and have for many years.
  
  I notice they talk about the Media Council, and earnestly inform us that it’s independent, and that organisations which sign up HAVE to adhere to lofty principles around accuracy, fairness, and balance. Hmm … in not revealing the fact that distrust of the mainstream media is in fact widespread across the entire world, are One News guilty of not being “fair” and providing “balance”?

Two days ago the reported number of new covid19 cases was about 6000. Yesterday the number of new covid19 more than doubled to 12000. Today the number of new covid19 cases only increased by about 10% to 13500.

Either we have hit a peak early or the reports are bogus,

As we all know, the UN is a piss taking bunch of fucking bludgers from way, way back. My army mate, a senior officer who was deployed on UN “peacekeeping” missions, says they were a pathetic joke. And here, we have the proof.
The United States drafted a United Nations Security Council measure “deploring” Russia’s still ongoing invasion of Ukraine — and during a Friday vote, Russia vetoed the resolution and China abstained.
Russian veto’s. China abstained. Both should be told to bugger off from the UN. Both are literally the ratbags of the planet. No one should be trading with either, and if either step out of line, the rest of the world should move in and give them a bloody good hiding.

  Also, as much as many areas of the UN can be criticised, the whole point of the Veto is so that the large members will negotiate their points of difference. If it was a simple vote you would just get one group ganging up on another and this would achieve what?
  And it would also raise the question of who should be the permanent members?
  You can argue France is long spent as a global ‘power’, can’t even keep areas of Paris from being no-go zones, so why are they there? To give the US another vote?

Cindy must be really crapping out in her internal polling to make those changes all of a sudden re no isolation for returning travellers and making RATS available in supermarkets. Just shows what can be done when you set your mind to it Cindy. Where Ash? Nowhere to be seen.

Cindy still trying to hold on to some power and control by not saying when she will open up NZ to non NZers with no isolation requirement.

Unfortunately the damage has probably already been done. Huge amounts of small business have already gone under under her covid response, not to mention the whole tourism and international education sector. She’s set NZ back economically by about 10 years.
