Sure Herne Bay is a vulnerable community

One News reports:

The newly-opened Metro store is located in the suburb of Herne Bay and cost $50 million to build.

Three groups, including the Waitemata Board, made against the liquor licence – but there were no objections from Auckland Council or officials.

Communities Against Harm secretary Grant Hewison told 1News that there were vulnerable communities that lived near Herne Bay, that would be affected by the new supermarket.

The Waitemata Board is dominated by Labour and Green activists who don’t think people can be trusted to buy a bottle of wine from their local supermarket.

And the notion that anywhere near Hearne Bay has vulnerable communities (code for poor and hence deemed unable to decide things for themselves) is laughable. They are bounded by Ponsonby and Grey Lynn.
