  Sadly NZ and Australia are moving to the Left. Labor now controls the Federal Parliament and all by Tasmania State Parliaments. I put this down to the Millennials the largest voting block in both countries.
  I call them the “we want it all and we want it now” generation. They think the State will provide for their every wim. Sadly they will find they will pay more tax their cost of living will be higher and their standard of living will be lower and their freedoms will be taken away from them.
  And they will live in a Racist Apartheid country where race determines your entitlement to Government services.

      The communist unions and lefty teachers dominate schools. The kids don’t get a chance until they leave. University is no better. Look at some of the useless degrees.
      Then, reality strikes – hard, but too many (mainly females) have been indoctrinated. About age 40 they find out they have been duped.
      The males who gave varsity the middle finger and started a trade are laughing their heads off, and good on them. The elites might be smug but the tradies are killing it.

      It took me a while but with hard work, (Once I had 3 jobs) I became freehold.

Reading some reviews of Jimmy Carter’s presidency I was struck by this comment about him:

His posture toward adversaries was one of reflexive appeasement. He seemed to equate passivity in the face of provocation with Christian virtue.

Sounds familiar. 😉

      Carter was more than that. After graduating in the top tenth of officers from America’s Annapolis Naval Academy, he served on a battleship as ensign.
      
      On becoming a lieutenant, he served in submarines as an engineering officer, and trained in nuclear engineering as America prepared to introduce nuclear submarines.
      
      Carter was in on temporary duty with the Naval Reactors Branch of the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission, when, in 1952, a nuclear reactor at Chalk River, Canada, melted down. It was the world’s first “nuclear disaster”.
      
      The plant needed to be shut down, dismantled, and moved from the site. The Canadian Government got help from the US Navy nuclear programme.
      
      Carter, at 28, led a team whose members dismantled the plant. They each worked in it for 90 seconds at a time to minimise radioactivity exposure. Carter’s urine tested positive for radioactivity for six months.

    In the article linked to by Deane Jessep, Forest and Bird take credit for keeping the level of Lake Manapouri down – “saving the lake”.
    
    An Otago professor was the initial person to alert the country to what was happening.
    
    The Save Manapouri campaign got people behind it only after Ron McLean, a Southland farmer and World War 2 Bomber Command pilot, led a successful “Save Manapouri” campaign throughout the country.
    
    McLean launched his campaign in a hall in Invercargill in October 1969. It was a political gathering as gently different from today’s raucous rallies as you could imagine. A local lady played a classical piano piece in breaks between speakers.

And despite having been Minister of Health, he had no idea what “ramping” was, or that the figure have, as per DPF’s previous post, blown out under Labour. It’s real possum-in-the-headlights stuff!

        If so I propose to ask the Auckland City Council to rent me the hall where the 2023 Labour Party launch is going to be held for an anti-Labour meeting immediately after the Labour Party kick-off.
        They will, if they are consistent, refuse to do so and will also cancel the Labour Party launch.
        They’ll wait of course until the day before the planned event.

    I’m confused – If Ms Davidson was so injured by the motorcyle, and needing hospital treatment, how come she can walk down the road with a bunch of supporters being interviewed, or was the motorcycle incident after the interview which will make both her and Hipkins full of crap.

    Flicked the radio over to Tova FM to hear her also giving Hipkins a bit of a grilling about Marama Davidson and those comments of hers made as an associate Minister (supposedly assisting with the violence prevention portfolio and being wrong).
    
    Hipkins also sounded like his chips were cooked as he deflected.
    
    Interesting (and pleased) to hear Tova grill him on the lack of Police presence at the protest and that she saw videos of Women speakers/supporters getting attacked. Hipkins of course deflected but suspect Tova might revisit this upon him so Hipkins ought to get a handle on the situation, particularly if the other MSM wake up and ask those same questions.

    G – apologising for Luxon is not going to win the argument. If National can’t get him better informed and with better sound bites then we are all stuffed. For the good of the country Luxon needs to realise and combat the true problems, which are:
    1. The biased and compromised MSM
    2. The spin and narrative control of the activists
    3. The activists are running the government
    
    Sitting on both sides of the fence and trying to be nice and reasonable about everything is not working.
    
    He needs to show up the issues. Start with the video of a 70 year old woman being repeatedly punched in the face. Not the protest was mostly peaceful. Ther is not a decent kiwi that I know who would be comfortable seeing that lady badly assaulted. If Luxon can’t get that in front of people and call out the thugs then he isn’t up to the job.
    
    Until the last day of the parliamentary protest there was less violence than Saturday. Yet those people were slurred and slandered. Luxon supported Mallard the bully and was thanked for it.
    
    He is not only not reading the room, he has lost the room. The one thing you and I agree on, if he doesn’t get support soon then we have 3 more years of the activists running the country. Heaven forbid!

After the weekend, this is their fault. Not one of % them has condemned the violence or called for an investigation.

The MPs have allowed violence to be an acceptable rebuttal to ideas they don’t agree with and they should be the ones setting the example for behaviour in public.

Watched a few BBC news clips on the fighting in Baktmut. They had some BBC guy travelling around Baktmut or outside of Baktmut. But as this guy was moving around there just wasnt anyone else around. Big battle and you would expect to see equipment, logistics, many soldiers & weapons.

There was certainly battle damage.

But its either not really Baktmut or the fighting is so low key its been carried out by a few hundred on each side over a fairly large area. Suspect Ukraine Russia war just a glorified border skirmish. ?? Some on alt-right claim the casualty death & wounded count are 10% of the reported numbers.

    The BBC guy had drone footage over a sizeable area were clearly there were a few Russian troops. Hardly any Ukraine troops as well. It was a front line. He was travelling on one of the few roads into Baktmut (which the Russians would know about) and nothing else. There was no traffic, discarded equipment, logistics.
    
    The footage could have been weeks old as well. It probably should be for reasons intelligence.
    
    There just isnt much fighting going on because there are not many people involved.

  Based on what I saw last week Ukraine was totally effed in Bakhmut and had no space to move in any direction and were being crushed. But given the pro Russia propaganda I have seen where they talk about loving the Ukranian people as cousins and don’t really want to crush them it’s not entirely impossible the whole thing is theatre.

    Normally dont take MSM seriously. but its interesting to see what they pushing. Also it looks to be what has been reported well outside of MSM.
    
    There isnt any heavy fighting going on. Because there are no large columns of POWs. (unless someone can link) If there are large formations of troops they are probably 50 km behind “the front.”
    
    The front being a light skirmishing with small numbers involved. The BBC clips support what others well outside MSM have been saying about this conflict. 10% of the reported casualties.

I heard the train wreck of an interview with Hipkins. When you look at the leadership of this country its a cause of genuine concern. I emailed the leaders of all parties yesterday expressing my concerns that all politicians were not serving the needs of the majority of New Zealanders. This was shown by their actions or non actions with regard to the protest in Wellington and the riot in Albert Park. Also the overkill by police in Wellington and their lack of support in Auckland. All this supported by a corrupt media. Never expected any replies. Surprise surprise got a very nice and commonsense reply from David Seymour. As an old fashioned lefty I am going to take the earlier advice from KB’s and hold my nose and vote ACT.

Seymour will be firing on all cylinders re the week end outrage and calling for answers esp re the absence of police at the Albert Park. Given Luxon’s earlier declaration that the event was mainly peaceful, i doubt he will breathe much energy into any criticism of the police lack of oversight. The Nats need to get serious, show some mongrel, stop worrying about offending people who would never vote for them anyway. I fear today will be a fail in them stepping up enough to suggest they are a govt in waiting.

I found it extremely distasteful.

I mulled it over some more. I am actually funding this communist propaganda with my taxes.

I am very angry that my money is funding extreme left wing advocacy, but there is nothing I can do about it, but complain here.

I feel ashamed that I have been forced to fund communists in the media. Logically, I know that I have done nothing wrong.

Deep within the Water Services Entities Bill is a mechanism that will have significant influence at the operating level of the structure …

The Bill is silent on what can (and cannot) be included in the statements and provides no guidance as to the outcomes that the statements are intended to achieve. In short, there are no limits to the scope of Te Mana o te Wai statements. The relevant water entity board must simply give effect to those statements “to the extent that it applies to the entity’s duties, functions, and powers”.

Their importance in the governance structure of Three Waters cannot be overstated.

A number of people have observed that this is not co-governance but simple governance. The boards must give effect to the Te Mana o te Wai statements. So it doesn’t matter who is on the board, and who owns nominal shares. The legislation basically means the water entities must do as they are instructed via these statements.

It could require us to make changes to the way we operate, even to the point of closing down our ability to earn the revenue to service the borrowing we want to make from you.

    Well of course I also would like Chris Luxon to be “stronger” too but here’s a thought.
    
    We know ACT will shore up the Right vote (and let’s hope they get more MP’s elected via the List).
    
    Now (and to unpopular ‘demand’ here on the blogs) if National and Luxon can regain that middle ground that was lost to Labour in 2020 then that’s a win for a National/ACT coalition.
    
    Now here’s the thought (popped into my head yesterday) …. what if National/Luxon attracted back to National the so-called “blue-green” voters (the so-called urban housewives) that vote Green Party (cos “climate change” and so one) …. but was successful enough so that the Green vote “collapses” (i.e. they are only left with their 2-3% hard-left voter base) that the Greens are ejected from Parliament!!??
    
    Now wouldn’t that be the best ever MMP result – the Watermelons no longer being the ideologically dangerous radicals in Parliament (influencing Labour) i.e. well away from the levers of power?

You can clearly see a wide area between the protestors and the speakers. Two barriers separating them. Then a trans-nymph creature dances across and as if on signal a large drag queen kicks the barrier open. He later elbow-punched an older man in the face, here:

Where are the NZ Police? There should have been at least a few scattered within that clear area which would have prevented any incursion. But no, they were standing under a tree shading themselves while women were being assaulted or they were lined up on the road some distance away being staunch in their rainbow-awareness.     There are some YouTube channels that specialise in drone footage of such events.
    
    It’s a really unique perspective because you can just put the drone in a slow lazy circle and let the action speak for itself with no cuts.
    
    And it’s a safe way for a photojournalist to get right in the action without any danger to themselves or their expensive equipment.

I thought about this quote when I saw the police dawdling and chilling out, down a side street, while Posie Parker was being assaulted by a feral mob.

I can’t help wondering why the police weren’t there, around Posie, protecting her?

    If I ran up to cop at any time of the day or night and told them that around the corner a bunch of people were assaulting a woman, they’d be off like a shot and arrest the perps. Hell, if they thought someone was only being *threatened* with assault they’d do the same.
    
    Yet on Saturday, with many people going up to them and telling them exactly the same thing, they stood back and let it happen.
    
    I’ll tell you what that is, it’s a failure to perform their legally-mandated duties, which is dereliction of duty, and it’s complicity with the mob.
    
    A some point you don’t get to use the Nuremburg Defence–I was just following orders–and you have to take responsibility for not acting upon your own initiative.
    
    What if a couple of those cops simply couldn’t stomach the spectacle of women being assaulted and went into the crowd and protected them? Would they have been disciplined for disobeying orders? What exactly would be the charge? Doing their sworn duty to maintain public order?
    
    Somebody has to speak. Hopefully a cop who is sickened by what happened, if only anonymously, enough to crack the silent blue wall that the NZ Police have always been so very expert at erecting.
    
    This is where leadership matters most. Luxon or Seymour must state clearly that a National/ACT coalition will hold an enquiry into police conduct on that day. That will put this government and the police on the back foot and hopefully someone will sing.
    
    Of course, that assumes that Luxon (“looked pretty peaceful”) or Seymour have the moral courage to weigh the evidence of their own eyes and come to such a position.

        OK, so you think the police forces of Western Australia, South Australia, Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, Tasmania, and the Australian Federal Police are all deluded. To varying degrees they all deployed significant police numbers at her events to ensure that she and her supporters could speak, while allowing the ‘trans’ protestors to shout and wave. It is called upholding law and order.
        
        The South Australian police were the gold standard. Things had gone downhill by Hobart and Canberra, but the events went ahead. In Canberra the AFP tackled a Senator to the grounds when she was spotted rushing at KJK.

      “Mental health issues” are looking more like the result of 30 years of telling kids nothing is their fault and if their life isn’t perfect it’s somebody else who caused it.
      I’m not trying to diminish it, but something horrendous has happened. The era I grew up in wasn’t much after the 2nd world war. There was genuine poverty everywhere. People were bullied at school. Life was pretty miserable for many years, but nobody decided to go back and kill those they think or were told were “responsible” for their bad thoughts.
      Like I say, I don’t trivialise mental health issues. I had them for a few years after a life threatening physical assault on me. I grew up in the “take a concrete pill and htfu” era. So I did. It didn’t make the negative thoughts go away and I still suffer from what they call PTSD. I learned how to deal with it.
      Maybe not politically correct, but it seemed to be a saner world than the one we are currently heading towards.

    I knew nothing about the whole thing until a few days ago, so I started trying to find out who this “terrible, far right Nazi” was. Because that’s what the mainstream media and the alphabet crowd were telling us was coming. I thought it was literally Hitler reincarnated.
    
    I can find nothing that she has ever said to indicate she is “anti trans” or “far right” or a “Nazi”.
    She says “a woman is an adult human female”. I can find neither anything wrong with that statement, nor anything remotely “anti trans” in that statement. It is a fact.
    
    What abuses of human rights do these people suffer from or which are they restricted access to? I have quite a few friends in the gay community, they are extremely concerned about the actions of what appears to be a minority fringe group. They are worried that the images of the lunatics will impact negatively on the whole community.
    
    I certainly believe many NZers went there believing this group are somehow abused or targeted in some way. Your daughter likely one of them. But the mainstream media are clearly lying
    in the same way they did when they attacked the protesters in Wellington and labeled them in a similar fashion as they have done with Posie Parker/KJK. “Far right, rivers of filth, misogynists” etc etc.
    
    Happy for you to enlighten me, but KJK isn’t attacking trans, she’s defending women and it certainly looks as though they need protecting. Secondly, unless you can convince me differently, this group of people who live their chosen lifestyle are not persecuted or restricted from going about that life in any way.
    
    Unlike the NZers who simply chose not to take part in a medical experiment.

I was thinking about Mr. Hipkins, or ‘Mr Fixit’, as the Team of $55 million describe him.

Kommissar Robbo doubled government spending in four years from 2018 – 2022, from $81 billion to $162 billion.

Mr. Hipkins said that government spending had fallen under Kommissar Robbo over this period.

This is one of those rare cases when you hope that Mr Hipkins was simply lying again.

For the record, I don’t think Mr Hipkins was lying, and the alternative option is truly mind-blowing and scary.

Let me repeat the facts. Mr Hipkins is so incompetent that he didn’t realise that Kommissar Robbo’s spending had doubled on his watch. Mr Hipkins thought spending went down, when nominal spending doubled.

What level of incompetence does this represent?

Of course, Mr Hipkins destroyed the Polytechs. He was the worst Minister of Education in New Zealand’s history. He was a terrible Police Minister.

It seems that Mr Fixit is actually a bumbling fool. Everything he touches, he breaks. His attention to detail does not exist. Even his attention to the big picture is non-existent.

I don’t want to hate on the guy. He seems to be pleasant enough. Yet the evidence is clear.

Mr Hipkins is grossly incompetent.

The fact that The Team of $55 Million almost universally describe Mr Hipkins as ‘Mr Fixit’ is simply gaslighting.

  I think Labour has got away with so much under Ardern. The people are slowly waking up. In my home area we have lots of lifestyle blocks who vote Labour or Green. I know because I canvas them at election time, the will not be voting the same way this election. The word I keep hearing is disappointment.
  We meet socially and what I hear is “She could have done so much but didn’t . I think the disaster that is Labour has been shown up in health, education and inflation. Higher interest rates are not helping either.
  I wrote here some time ago that the next election will be won by the right, because they are angry and will vote. The left are so disappointed I think they will see a very low turnout. Labour are going to reap what they sowed and that was damn poor seed.

  Agree, the rush of the Govt and Ministries to rename everything (Ministries, institutions, agencies etc) with a Māori name (or phrase) is not the Māori way.
  
  The Māori way is to take time, to discuss, to reach consensus, and if that takes a long time then so be it, it takes a long time.
  
  I think the Govt has made a mistake in their handling of this issue (which is nothing more than woke virtue signalling). They have “alienated” many Pakeha and now risk “alienating” thinking Māori.
  
  IMO, the best practice would be to let Govt ministries/agencies/institutions etc continue to be known by their English name, especially if they represent all NZ’ers eg hospitals, NZTA etc (but sure add a secondary Māori phrase to follow but consult widely first).
  
  And let Maori run entities (eg Te Wānanga o Aotearoa for Māori led education, Whānau Ora iniatives, Kaupapa Māori Support Services etc) have Maori names so that everyone knows who their target audience is (and sure give an English secondary translation).
  
  Keep it simple, keep it fit for purpose.
  
  Why does modern day politicians and Ministries (the drivers of change) not understand this? Instead they are waste precious time and funding “re-writing” things (customs) all without a mandate, as well as upsetting thinking Pakeha and Māori along the way. Madness!

Mr Luxon will be the next Prime Minister of New Zealand, by a landslide.

For me, Prime Minister is no where near as important a position as the Minister of Finance. The Prime Minister role is largely ceremonial and marketing. Finance is where the real decisions are made.

Roger Douglas was the most important person in the Fourth Labour government. David Lange just ensured Labour got elected.

Kommissar Robbo is the most important person in this government. Cindy Adolt just ensured Labour was elected.

The salient issue, when National / ACT get elected, is who will be the Minister of Finance.

Of course, Mr Seymour is smart, and knows the above, and will want Finance. Maybe, if ACT score highly enough in the election, he could get it?

I’ll be happy with Mr Luxon as Prime Minister.

I’m more interested to see if Nicola Willis will be the Minister of Finance. If she is, I hope she steels herself to make unpopular changes. Government spending needs to be cut.

The alternative to major reform is becoming a failed state.

And continuing to do so stroking the flames of inflation whilst everyday NZ’er suffer his foolishness by paying higher food and goods prices, higher mortgage interest rates and higher rental costs and so on (simply in order to bring down the inflation that he and Labour are creating, on purpose)! All in order to curb expenditure that Robertson is exceeding by magnitudes more and laughing his head off about it when challenged by the weak MSM.
  
  I somehow think not only will Grant Robertson be judged unkindly by history, he will be held up as an exemplar of what not to do, over forthcoming generations.

  A good question. As I have commented, most folk would agree with her three positions. There are some things she says that trigger trans activists. Key examples:
  
  “Women do not have penises” – trans activists very much assert that many women DO have penises.
  
  “No surgical and medical transitioning of children” – trans activists believe that children need “gender affirming medical care” aka as giving estrogen to boys and testosterone to girls.
  
  Those two positions of KJK are sufficient for her to be hated.

I just heard the Police Minister on the radio asserting that the police were present at Albert Park on Saturday and ‘were always ready to respond to any public disorder’. (I am paraphrasing – it was words along those lines.)

How can she just blatantly lie? We are damn lucky that KJK was not killed or very seriously injured. It was a close run thing.

      If I then choose to take those odds and fight for my right to speak, then the consequences are on me…not the police, not my security, ME.

  The new Minister of Police is full of shit IMO. It’s same old, same old, nothing’s changed.
  She should ask the victims of crime how well the ‘Wrap Around’ theory of dealing with crims works in practice.
  The NZ Police Force is in need of a clean-out of all the top brass.
  That’s a sentiment told to me by two serving Police Officers at the sharp end. They express their shame at the public’s view of themselves and their colleagues and that’s not good for anyone.
  We should IMO have respect for the Law and those tasked to enforce it eh?

How to make the Reserve Bank of NZ look good …

Zimbabwe reduced annual inflation to 87.6 per cent for March, reports Trading Economics. This was down from an annual rate of 92.3 per cent in February, and 285 per cent in August last year.

Zimbabwe’s inflation took off when Mugabe confiscated land of White farmers. Mugabe’s Government printed money as agricultural output collapsed.

Mugabe had ditched the old Rhodesian dollar for the Zimbabwe dollar at par (one for one). His new currency, through hyperinlation became worthless, and was was dropped in 2009. The Government then relied on foreign currencies, chiefly the US dollar and the South African rand.

In June 2019, Zimbabwe replaced the multi-currency system with the new Zimbabwe dollar. In March 2020, the Government allowed use of multiple foreign currencies again.

The Wall Street Journal reports that using US dollars as currency creates problems for Zimbabwe people in cash change. The country flies in paper dollars, but, because of weight, not coins.

Businesses have been printing their own “money”—scraps of paper, sometimes handwritten, that customers can use to pay for future purchases. Others are handing out change in-kind, such as juice boxes, pens, or slices of cheese.

The newspaper reports a the manager of a fast food group saying rapid devaluation made printed menus too expensive, so it’s is using screen displays of meals and prices. It prints US25c and US50c vouchers, with serial numbers, to issue as change.

Harare-based economist Gift Mugano told the WSJ that bank cards also aren’t widely used, as many Zimbabweans withdraw their salaries in U.S.-dollar cash the moment it hits their account.

“They’re calling it NMB bank,” said Mugano. “National Mattress Bank.”

    It may be good for some parts of NZ that are poorly served by bank branches. I know some banks let you pay by mobile to a list of busineses etc that you create. Perhaps a smart phone user on Kiwiblog can tell us how sophisticated mobile payments are in NZ.

    TAB New Zealand (TAB NZ) is a statutory body established through the Racing Industry Act 2020 which provides betting services to New Zealanders and makes returns back to New Zealand racing and sporting organisations.
    
    TAB New Zealand comes under Part 3 of the Racing Industry Act 2020. It is run by a board of seven appointed by the Government. The Act says TAB NZ cannot enter any partnership without approval of the Minister of Racing.
    
    RNZ reports the Minister for Racing, Kieran McAnulty, as saying said he wants to ensure racing is “guaranteed for the future” and he will take time before signing off the deal.

This is the trouble when you have Councils funding long lists of ‘nice to haves’ – when financial trouble strikes you’ve got even more special interests coming against you when you attempt to economise:

Who represents the elderly retired, sick or otherwise fixed income people who’s rates have to fund it all? The folk who have lost jobs because of Covid or the recession? Those already struggling?

Several years ago Goff had a very half-hearted attempt to reduce Council expenditure. He launched a cost reduction investigation exercise across Council which cost, from memory, $1M and identified about half that in savings.

All the big public money spenders rejoiced!

Boy has that cost us now. What a pity a few more meaningful savings weren’t identified then, then the cuts might not have to have been so severe now.

The past week or two has seen a rolling series of special interest groups in our media pleading for their interests to be protected from council budget cuts. Libraries, CAB, the film industry, the arts, the events industry, council unemployment services and various other social services etc etc.

Many of them I argue shouldn’t even be local government responsibilities, they should be central government responsibilities or the responsibility of the private sector and all of this while our core council infrastructure burns through underinvestment.

But no, the public purse has become the life blood for far too many interests who are now wailing and stamping their feet when it is threatened.

I only got around to watching the video from newshub, where they accused Posie Parker of making a white supremacist gesture. I cannot think of more serious allegation that you could make against someone.

The gesture was blurred out by newshub. It was later claimed to be the ‘okay’ gesture.

Now, the media showed the ‘okay’ gesture footage unblurred. Posie Parker was doing up her zip.

Anyone who has read my posts knows what I think of the Team of $55 million, but this is surely a new low.

There needs to be consequences for our lickspittle media. Newshub has crossed a line for me.

I cannot really believe what has happened in the past two years in New Zealand. It all seems like a bad dream.

How did we get to this?

  To me it borders on criminality. It was a total invention and to slur and defame someone with one of the worst possible labels you can put on someone – that of being a Nazi.
  
  The trouble is the word has lost all meaning now and is thrown around by bad people like confetti. It’s become ubiquitous and we just roll our eyes and move on, when in fact there should be serious repercussions for people who do this without any factual basis to back it up.
  
  People should lose their jobs over that and the company severely punished by the BSA, so they and others don’t even contemplate doing it again, but I won’t be holding my breath.

I think it was Saturday when I wrote here that the weekend’s events were a victory for Kellie-Jay Keen.

Huge numbers of New Zealanders, and millions and millions worldwide have had their eyes opened to the intolerance, hatred, vileness and bullying from the trans lobby and their, at best, indifference to the human rights of women.

I still stand behind that observation.

I firmly believe the NZ woman and man in the street, on the whole, will be appalled at Saturday’s disgrace. We are a fair and reasonable lot and are keen to see everyone get a fair crack, get a chance to speak out on matters of concern and we have a particular distaste for bullies.

I haven’t thought this through properly yet, but I also wonder what the effect all this will have on the election come October?

I do wonder whether this will be a tipping point for a lot of New Zealanders, a catalyst for folks to say “enough is enough” and will look at Labour and Green MPs who support this cancellation and denial of women’s rights and free and fair debate quite harshly.

While they all pat themselves on their backs, toss glitter in the air and celebrate their wonderfulness – I think the trans mob and lefty politicians misread New Zealanders if they think they will come out of this looking good. They’ll look good to some but I think the majority of Kiwis have a bitter taste in their mouths this week and see the trans lobby and their enablers in a new and distasteful light.

I was thinking about the feral communist rioters who assaulted Posie Parker, and where the complete lack of respect for the Bill of Rights came from. These feral lefties wouldn’t even let her speak.

Then I remembered the Covid hoax, where Cindy Ardern, Mr Hipkins etc said that our human rights were worth nothing.

Cindy et al stole our human rights for years, on a whim, for no good reason at all.

I’m certainly not saying the criminal Covid policies are to blame for the feral communists who assaulted Posie Parker.

I do suspect, however, that another cost of the criminal Covid response was to downgrade the importance of human rights in the minds of the feral left.

Cindy Ardern had the power to give and take away human rights every day for years under the Covid hoax, which she exercised with the glee of a tyrant.

Perhaps seeing rights being extinguished by Cindy without consequences has led to the feral left believing that they could continue to do this, with no negative impact for themselves?

  Lower than expected? I saw on metservice last week the temps expected for Monday through to Wednesday, and they’re not prepared with power generation for it. Pathetic
