Bayly goes list only

Port Waikato MP Andrew Bayly has announced he will not stand for Port Waikato again, as he is moving to the South Island.

He has said he may seek a list only spot. The challenge for him is that on current polling National will get very few, if any, list MPs – unless they lose a significant numerical of electorate seats.

His seat is very safe for National, as is Papakura which Judith Collins is leaving. So that should see a lot of aspiring candidates seek those nominations.
