No current MPs have had significant demotions, but there has been some movement with Andrew Hoggard up 2 and Todd Stephenson down 2. Both in very winnable places.
On the current average of the public polls, ACT would get 10 MPs. On that result, Cameron Luxton would miss out, but Paul Henry and James Christmas would join the caucus. Next in would be Iain Murray, the principal of Hornby High School.
I’ve just had a quick look at how the school has done. It is a high equity school (ie disadvantaged students). Since he took over in 2023 the roll has around 25% to over 1,000. When he took over only 17% of students were attending school regularly, and it has tripled to 52%.
