Banning Sporting Teams

While I have been very supportive of doing what we can within the law to stop the cricket tour of Zimbabwe, I am quite oppossed to a law change which will affect the ability of NZers to choose to travel and play sports overseas.

It’s a bit like hate speech laws – you don’t protect people’s rights by taking away rights from other people.

I note that every party in Parliament has ruled out supporting the Greens’ proposed law change, as they should. Well except the Maori Party who have been silent on this issue.
