Update needed Add this story to Scoopit!.

The big red website is rather out of date.

When I used to be in charge of National’s website, I took it as a matter of pride that we would have the new rankings and portfolios done within hours.

At least Labour have not had the problem of leadership changes. Whenever there was one looming I would discretely start preparing new material just in case there was a change. And hey then after the coup, we could have the website correct by the evening news.

To which the obvious question is how many web-based leaders did you have ready to go?

  2. Graeme Edgeler (2,204) Says:

How’s it out of date? Maybe they’ve updated it in the five minutes since you posted, but Phil Goff has correction, and Mark Burton is just happy being the member for Taupo…

[Maharey is still listed as being Minister of Education, plus it is still in the order of the old Cabinet]

  3. GerryandthePM (328) Says:

Maybe they have been busy doing other things.

  4. Ross Nixon (473) Says:

That reminds me. I updated Wikipedia during election counting to say that Bill English was the Prime Minister. Where did all those last minute Labour votes come from? Labour’s computer hackers perhaps?

  5. Ross Nixon (473) Says:

Or was is Don Brash? It seems so long ago.

  6. Short Shriveled and Slightly to the Left (633) Says:

“Where did all those last minute Labour votes come from?”
    South Auckland
    How did you miss that?

  7. dad4justice (7,339) Says:

I have just clicked onto the Labour Liars site and I am astounded that they don’t age ? It must be the big red rocket lickspittle juice that the conniving creeps consume in copious amounts ?

I suppose Helen’s gang are dedicated followers of fashion because they act like bird pooh collecting concrete statues who just keeping hanging around walking in circles of absurdity ?

  8. Tane (1,096) Says:

National’s website still has Chris Simpson listed as the party’s General Manager.

Might want to flick them a wee email David.

[DPF: Actually he still is, so it isn't out of date]

  9. dad4justice (7,339) Says:

Tane , do you drink the stop all aging process lickspittle juice, just like they do in Auntie Helen’s gang ? Can’t wait for the next pledge card photo of her ?

  10. pete (402) Says:

The big blue site seems to have gone downhill since you left … they don’t seem to updated their policies since the 90′s ;)

  11. Tane (1,096) Says:

No Dad, but I found your submission on the EFB today. Hilarious.

Tane , do you cock your leg or sit down to spray your socialist lickspittle juice everywhere ?

  13. Kimble (3,012) Says:

  14. Tane (1,096) Says:

Kimble, you’re almost as funny as D4J. Great stuff!

  15. Kimble (3,012) Says:

    Dude, that was weak.

  16. dad4justice (7,339) Says:

Tane , where is the link to your submission ? ouch !

  18. Peak Oil Conspiracy (2,223) Says:

I have to admit that D4J was in the zone at 7.50pm. That’s quite simply the funniest comeback I’ve read today.

  19. Buggerlugs (1,609) Says:

I suppose at least National has a general manager, Tane Tutae. What’s Labour got? A series of lapdogs, at best.

As for the Greens, I heard Fitzsimmons speech on the Misappropriation Bill 2nite – she’s either really more stupid than I thought, or far too trusting of the 9th floor’s promises.

I might head up to the Coromandel and throw the big “I need $100,000 to set up a Land Rights for Gay Whales Trust” number at her – then we can have a piss up in her honour.

  20. Graeme Edgeler (2,204) Says:

True, it does say that. It doesn’t say it in red like on all the other MPs’ pages, which is what I guess I missed.

  21. Michaels (1,296) Says:

Gotta love the way Klark’s looks just don’t change. Where on earth do the papers get these photos from, that make her look like she’s just sucked on a lemon??

  22. dad4justice (7,339) Says:

Helen looked at a lemon and it turned blue , true Peter told me – lol

  23. scrubone (1,041) Says:

The vote always swings to the left at the end of counting due to the large labour polling booths in south Auckland.

My favourite submissions are the ones where people clearly not using their own name ask for anonymous donations to be outlawed. Hm.

Anyway, on topic (sort of) – the Greens got in trouble a few elections back for linking to some really dodgy sites, but if you looked in the page source, they were commented out “until after the election”.

    Well done Tane.

  25. Peak Oil Conspiracy (2,223) Says:

    Goodness!

And to think that Tane and his mates have been banging on about Chris Simpson for the last couple of days now. You mean to say they haven’t got their facts straight?

The standards must be slipping at The Standard.

  26. Peak Oil Conspiracy (2,223) Says:

And just in case it’s not only Ben who’s been hoodwinked:

Jockeys change at National – Return of the Hollow Men
Published by John A at November 8, 2007
Chris Simpson has suddenly gone as manager of the National Party, and Steven Joyce and Jo de Joux are back. According to The Hollow Men they are the team who ran the hidden campaigns with the Exclusive Brethren and the racing industry in the 2005 election.

    http://www.thestandard.org.nz/?p=630

Well done. Even managed to slip in a Hollow Men reference. Plumbing new (low) standards.

  27. David Farrar (1,560) Says:

Oh yes it is a huge conspiracy involving the Exclusive Brethren when a staff member returns from maternity leave.

  28. Craig Ranapia (1,888) Says:

    Tane lies, a puppy dies… :)

  29. Kimble (3,012) Says:

Wow, BURNED Tane! Frcking burned! BAHAHAA!
