Blogosphere Drinks on Wednesday
Reminder that Wellington Blogosphere Drinks are this Wednesday 26th), starting at 5.30 pm at the Backbencher.

A guide… you can tell ‘em by the way the drink …
Capitalist – Goes long, acquiring all beer and on-selling it though franchised distributors at each table. Capitalist buys Remy X0 and large cigar, while still finding time to speak with the little people.
Socialist – Taxes all beer purchases after-sale by way of commandeering portions before any consumption has taken place. The bigger the jar, the larger the portion. Majority of taxed beer is resold to original commandeer’ees, and chardonnay is acquired for socialist’s consumption. Small remaining dregs offered to drunk sitting on front door step.
Greenie – Legislates for maximum size of beer glass and for country of origin labelling of amber nectar products. Insist that bar staff only respond to gender-neutral language and organises dope distribution point in dark corner
Centrist – Arrives early, smiles meekly at everyone as they arrive. Orders a sherry, avoids all discussion, and goes home early.

Would love to be there DPF, but we have a team meeting in WangaVegas, and Mrs I has suspended all leave privileges! I will be with you in spirit, and later in the evening, perhaps even in spirits!

BLOG COMMENTATOR: Starts a fist-fight with anyone who disagrees with his view that the red beer mats are “obviously” leftie propaganda. Then spends remainder of the evening muttering (mostly to himself) about “the socialists this, the socialists that, god damn socialists mutter mutter mutter…”
So yeah, have a good night, but I won’t be attending!
