Before Galloway insinuated the filmed story was pandering to anti-islam feeling, he might have at least tried to acknowledge the worth of the content before diverting into “But what about the [Christians/Jews]?” etc. It is as if Galloway doubts the veracity of any of the on-camera statements but he is unwilling to say so in as many words.

Sad to see an ageing grey-headed professional journo get so utterly tied up in knots trying to draw obviously fallacious comparisons between the contents of the old testament and the current on-camera statements of the other guy’s radical Muslim interviewees.

And now we’re trumpeting this as some sort of triumph for – what exactly? Is this proof that you can’t trust those foreign-looking people, all Muslims are terrorists and any whiteys who speak up for them are traitors? No doubt someone will be along soon to tell us that all western liberals hate their own culture.

George Galloway isn’t actually a ‘typical’ bleeding heart liberal. He was drummed out of the British Labour Party.
I spent two years living in Whitechapel, where Galloway is the constituency MP for the far left Respect party. The demographics of the area are overwhelmingly muslim – it is where the Bangladeshi community is based. If you’ve ever eaten a curry on the famous Brick Lane, you were sitting on Galloway’s turf. This is a particular London setting, and revels nothing about the wider situation in Britain (or, as you put it, the fate of civilisation).
Some of Galloway’s supporters argue that he is representing a constituency – that of very dogmatic British muslims, who would agree with his output. However, rather than damning the man, this argument damns an entire community.
Galloway’s true problem is that he is a fucking useless local MP. Instead of attending to his community’s needs, he appears on Celebrity Big Brother, drops in on his buddy Fidel, and mugs around the media (who are only to keen to film his every utterance). I hope that the residents of Stepney see sense and vote him out in the next election. Then they will get someone who they deserve, and Galloway will lose a platform from which to spout his idiocy).

Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Mohammad Amin al-Husayni spent almost the entire war in Germany living on the largesse of the Nazis. I think his only beef with Hitler was that he only got 6 million Jews. Muslim hatred of Jews goes back way beyond Israel’s victory over the Arabs in 67 and 73.
