The look of abject terror on the dogs face was only matched by that of Labour’s caucus when they read the latest poll result.

I was wondering if the dog was called “Cunliffe” because he appears to be pulling to the left.

Labours potential new leader post-election defeat is introduced to media- he just needs to be feed regularly, get plenty of time sleeping by the fire, shampoo once a month (in summer once every 2 weeks) taken outside once a day for walkies and a crap in the park, given lots of love and attention, kept away from other aggressive males, needs some obedience classes to stop him weeing others and himself and preferably fixed so he doesn’t stray anymore.

    Oh..and he owns a dog.
