    Tips for NZ’s underclass:

Speak correctly. Observe proper and correct posture. Be knowledgeable.

Define yourself with a clean and elegant look. Good hygiene is crucial. Know your etiquette. Eat politely.

Do not insult, gossip or slander. Be careful not to become materialistic.

Try to achieve and maintain a good physique. Concentrate in school.

Make sure your belongings are neat. Always be friendly and generous. Be yourself.

NZ’s underclass… or in Labour / Greens / Mana-speak; ‘disadvantaged’, ‘vulnerable’ and of course the one we’ll hear over and over until the election ‘those suffering from poverty’.

I know a young Cambodian family who have somehow gotten themselves into NZ (none of my business). They are as poor as church mice but consider themselves fantastically lucky. They are currently working their arses off to get ahead and take advantage of all the wonderful things they can enjoy in NZ

Manufacturers set your speedo to read faster as a safety net

An onboard GPS gives a truer indication of actual speed.

When speeding tickets are issued, drivers often go into instant denial and are adamant they were not travelling over the legal limit when they were nabbed.
The reality is that 99.9 per cent of the time the speed on their vehicle’s speedometer would have been faster than the actual speed they had been ticketed for. Assuming a vehicle has not been modified inappropriately in terms of wheel/tyre size and pressures are set correctly, manufacturers’ built-in speedos will always read faster than the actual road speed.
If your speedo is indicating 100km/h your true speed is more likely to be somewhere closer to 96km/h.

It also adds 4000ks per 100,000 to the warranty ks so that might be the real reason the manufacturers are tampering with the speedos.

I see that Tania Billingsley, through he father is seeking more publicity, as obviously John Key has not been round to console her, and the Malaysian soldier has not arrived back for his trial.

She must actually dread the day it actually happens when she is asked certain questions by the defendant’s QC. There are many questions which need to be asked.

Will the Greens, and the feminists to which she belongs, be there to cheer her on, or with the election, or will they have dumped her by then.

Just another publicity stunt – having nightmares my arse.

    Long live the emperor?

Penguins are running out of ice, say climate experts
Global warming is melting sea ice so fast that more than half of Antarctica’s population of emperor penguins are set to be wiped out by the end of the century, according to alarming new research saying they should be listed as an endangered species.
If sea ice declines at rates projected by the climate models and continues to influence emperor penguins as it did in the second half of the 20th century in Terre Adelie, none of the colonies, even the southern-most locations in the Ross Sea, will provide a viable refuge by the end of the 21st Century,” warned lead author Dr Stephanie Jenouvrier.

    http://www.nzherald.co.nz/climate-change/news/article.cfm?c_id=26&objectid=11284738

Decrease of Antarctic sea ice was indeed predicted with the use of climate models by the climate experts from the IPCC. The IPCC Fourth Assessment Report from 2007 tells us that:

“Model simulations indicate that the late-summer sea ice cover decreases substantially and generally evolves over the same time scale as global warming. Antarctic sea ice extent is also projected to decrease in the 21st century”.

    http://www.ipcc.ch/publications_and_data/ar4/wg1/en/tssts-5-2.html

So the peer reviewed climate experts are telling us that the penguins will be wiped out due to the disappearance of sea ice in Antarctica, caused by Global Warming ™

Here is the Sea Ice Data from the NSIDC:
    http://nsidc.org/data/seaice_index/images/daily_images/S_stddev_timeseries.png
And Arctic Climate Research at the University of Illinois:
    http://arctic.atmos.uiuc.edu/cryosphere/IMAGES/seaice.anomaly.antarctic.png

    What the……?
All data shows that Sea Ice around Antarctica is by far the highest level since satellite observations, on which the figures depend, began in 1979.

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2681829/Global-warming-latest-Amount-Antarctic-sea-ice-hits-new-record-high.html

I suppose the penguins will be save from Global Warming ™ so we can focus on the real issues affecting those birds such as pollution and over fishing.
Now the study has been proven bogus maybe Stephanie Jenouvrier can send her fat Climate Change ™ cheque for her compliant consensus study back so we can use the money for real problems.

Winston Peters keeps pulling the rabbits from his hat

In ruling out working with the Internet Mana party because it is a ”race-based party”, Mr Peters effectively pulled the plug on his party’s participation in what at best would be an unwieldy four-party government and at worst a highly unstable one.

Mr Peters has judged that being the kingmaker responsible for what would be a left-dominated government would be the death of NZ First regardless of the concessions he might be able to negotiate in return for providing the numbers to get it over the line to enable its establishment.

David Cunliffe might have kept Mr Peters on board by ruling out any working arrangement with Mr Harawira and friends. But he refused to do so perhaps in the vain hope that Labour, the Greens and Internet Mana might win just enough seats to cut NZ First out of the power equation.

Updated key facts about global temperature

Ø The RSS satellite dataset shows no global warming at all for 214 months from October 1996 to July 2014. That is more than half the 427-month satellite record.
    Graph here https://wattsupwiththat.files.wordpress.com/2014/08/clip_image002.png
Ø The fastest measured centennial warming rate was in Central England from 1663-1762, at 0.9 Cº/century – before the industrial revolution. It was not our fault.
Ø The global warming trend since 1900 is equivalent to 0.8 Cº per century. This is well within natural variability and may not have much to do with us.
Ø The fastest warming trend lasting ten years or more occurred over the 40 years from 1694-1733 in Central England. It was equivalent to 4.3 Cº per century.
Ø Since 1950, when a human influence on global temperature first became theoretically possible, the global warming trend has been equivalent to below 1.2 Cº per century.
Ø The fastest warming rate lasting ten years or more since 1950 occurred over the 33 years from 1974 to 2006. It was equivalent to 2.0 Cº per century.
Ø In 1990, the IPCC’s mid-range prediction of near-term warming was equivalent to 2.8 Cº per century, higher by two-thirds than its current prediction of 1.7 Cº/century.
Ø The global warming trend since 1990, when the IPCC wrote its first report, is equivalent to 1.4 Cº per century – half of what the IPCC had then predicted.
Ø Though the IPCC has cut its near-term warming prediction, it has not cut its high-end business as usual centennial warming prediction of 4.8 Cº warming to 2100.
Ø The IPCC’s predicted 4.8 Cº warming by 2100 is well over twice the greatest rate of warming lasting more than ten years that has been measured since 1950.
Ø The IPCC’s 4.8 Cº-by-2100 prediction is almost four times the observed real-world warming trend since we might in theory have begun influencing it in 1950.
Ø Since 1 March 2001, the warming trend on the mean of the 5 global-temperature datasets is nil. No warming for 13 years 4 months.
Ø Recent extreme weather cannot be blamed on global warming, because there has not been any global warming. It is as simple as that.

The world ran out of whitewash during those days.

Also this obsession and blind belief of land based temps is just moronic. I mean seriously has he not heard of 1200 sq km smoothing etc etc . How can you extend one temp measurement to be representative for 1200 sq km and then have the gall to claim accuracy to tenths of a degree. It’s a joke.

CO2 has been rising constantly since about 1950. We have had El Niño events creating warming spikes.1998 probably the biggest for 150 years. For the last 17 years CO 2 has still risen as per the trend since 1950 and yet the temp ( statistically ) has not moved during that 17 odd years.
We have had no El Niño for most of that period-hmm may be CO 2 doesn’t cause that big a warming?
They can’t explain the HALT in warming and frankly we are only just starting to scratch the surface ( pun intended ) of how our Oceans work and how they circulate heat and water and probably act as a cooling influence and counter the warming.

Herzl, the founder of the Zionist state wasn’t particularly religious, and there is no messianic figure associated with Zionism. Shawn’s response was to claim that Zionism is part or “Christ’s plan” despite the problems of the Zionist state being in opposition to the Jewish Torah.

Violence does not occur in a vacuum. There are very real reasons why sexual assault is happening in our country every day. This is because our society normalises, trivialises and in both obvious and subtle ways condones rape.
    This is called rape culture.
    – Tania Billingsley

“This is because our society normalises, trivialises and in both obvious and subtle ways condones rape” – is this not close to what the judge has done with name suppression in the case of the Queenstown Man With No Name?

Tania had to undo name suppression by the judge in her own case, to enable her to “speak out”.

Hj – I suppose if your fetish is risky behaviour and you get away with it you’ll do it again until you have egg on your face?

A profiler [ha! – like CRIMINAL MINDS] could suggest that name suppression is an ideal cross-over addiction – the man’s risky behaviour could now be to see who he can met with and still “get away with it”, like the encounter with Cunliffe, although the latter in knowing of the man’s status before hand, played into his hands.

Placing the photograph of the lunch meeting on his own Facebook page was fun until the media closed in and he had to remove it, but not before others had a screen shot. Hasn’t learned what goes online, stays there, somewhere.

I wonder what mental dissonance is caused by continually having to protect your reputation when you are actually in the wrong? It cannot be very healthy.

Now the Queenstown victim requests the same right.

Presumably to protect others, who the judge’s ruling does not help. The introduction of the Queenstown man, by Cunliffe,
to the local Labour candidate shows how easy it can happen. “A very personable young woman …” the Queenstown man wrote on his Facebook, before later removing it again. Creepy?

So the victims name is suppressed to protect her but the victim can ask it to be lifted on request.

The Billingsley road show keeps rolling in the S Herald today:

…”The woman at the centre of the Malaysian diplomatic scandal has been having nightmares and screaming out at night, says her father.

Warren Billingsley told the Herald on Sunday yesterday that he was furious with the Government for leaving the family in the dark over the defence attache’s return.

“It’s more than disappointing. It’s not good enough. I’m a bit disheartened by everything that’s happened really,” Warren Billingsley said.

“I don’t know what to think really … I sort of admire the Malaysian Government for the way they sort of stood up and were going to make him come back but our own Government has let us down.”….”

Well now, I was not aware that Police are no longer part of Government. So their communications with Billingsley do not count as “Government communication”?

McCully went further on this issue this morning by telling Q+A that an MFAT official conveyed an attitude to Kuala Lumpur directly contrary to that of the Government….. and that, contrary to instructions, the Government was not informed.

But more importantly, McCully foreshadowed the “fair trial” problem now facing a resumption of any prosecution – that is the likely intervention of lawyers arguing over a “fair trial”. But that snafu is exactly what Billingsley snd the Greens sought, is it not?

    Oh dear…..

Ninety-seven percent of climate scientists agree that climate-warming trends over the past century are very likely due to human activities,1and most of the leading scientific organizations worldwide have issued public statements endorsing this position. The following is a partial list of these organizations, along with links to their published statements and a selection of related resources.

    AMERICAN SCIENTIFIC SOCIETIES

Statement on climate change from 18 scientific associations

“Observations throughout the world make it clear that climate change is occurring, and rigorous scientific research demonstrates that the greenhouse gases emitted by human activities are the primary driver.” (2009)2
    AAAS emblem
American Association for the Advancement of Science

“The scientific evidence is clear: global climate change caused by human activities is occurring now, and it is a growing threat to society.” (2006)3
    ACS emblem
    American Chemical Society

“Comprehensive scientific assessments of our current and potential future climates clearly indicate that climate change is real, largely attributable to emissions from human activities, and potentially a very serious problem.” (2004)4
    AGU emblem
    American Geophysical Union

“Human‐induced climate change requires urgent action. Humanity is the major influence on the global climate change observed over the past 50 years. Rapid societal responses can significantly lessen negative outcomes.” (Adopted 2003, revised and reaffirmed 2007, 2012, 2013)5
    AMA emblem
    American Medical Association

“Our AMA … supports the findings of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change’s fourth assessment report and concurs with the scientific consensus that the Earth is undergoing adverse global climate change and that anthropogenic contributions are significant.” (2013)6
    AMS emblem
    American Meteorological Society

“It is clear from extensive scientific evidence that the dominant cause of the rapid change in climate of the past half century is human-induced increases in the amount of atmospheric greenhouse gases, including carbon dioxide (CO2), chlorofluorocarbons, methane, and nitrous oxide.” (2012)7
    APS emblem
    American Physical Society

“The evidence is incontrovertible: Global warming is occurring. If no mitigating actions are taken, significant disruptions in the Earth’s physical and ecological systems, social systems, security and human health are likely to occur. We must reduce emissions of greenhouse gases beginning now.” (2007)8
    GSA emblem
    The Geological Society of America

“The Geological Society of America (GSA) concurs with assessments by the National Academies of Science (2005), the National Research Council (2006), and the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC, 2007) that global climate has warmed and that human activities (mainly greenhouse‐gas emissions) account for most of the warming since the middle 1900s.” (2006; revised 2010)9

    SCIENCE ACADEMIES

    International academies: Joint statement

“Climate change is real. There will always be uncertainty in understanding a system as complex as the world’s climate. However there is now strong evidence that significant global warming is occurring. The evidence comes from direct measurements of rising surface air temperatures and subsurface ocean temperatures and from phenomena such as increases in average global sea levels, retreating glaciers, and changes to many physical and biological systems. It is likely that most of the warming in recent decades can be attributed to human activities (IPCC 2001).” (2005, 11 international science academies)10
    USNAS emblem
    U.S. National Academy of Sciences

“The scientific understanding of climate change is now sufficiently clear to justify taking steps to reduce the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere.” (2005)11

Years ago, I was sucked by The Club of Rome, but that was soon exposed as a fraud. And then, through the auspices of the US State Department, I had a meeting (along with three others) with the Population Bomb wingnut Paul Erlich. that meeting persuaded me, and my colleagues, that he was a bullshitter, riding a research gravy train (albeit his book did become a best seller in academic and policy circles).

The modus operandi of those 1968-70s frauds was no different from that followed today – and Erlich is still at it.

All the organisations silly wingingnut griffie quotes are about as reliable on this issue, as the many emails that I get from Nigeria offering me loads of US dollars. (Send us all your details Griffie and they will be passed to the Nigerian scammers!)

Two years ago the whole load of climate cobblers was exposed as a fraud. Sensible Governments are opting out of their previous heretical positions, or cautiously backing away (like J Key and Timmy Groser). When we are in our graves, our successors, will ask:
” How did silly wingnuttygriffie, et al allow themselves to be conned?”

The Death of Judas: A Contradiction between Matthew and Acts?

    http://www.tektonics.org/gk/judasdeath.php

A consistent explanation is that the true fate of Judas was that described by the gospel of Barnabus. Since the other early writers couldn’t say what really happened, they had no invent stories and naturally enough the invented stories were different.

The explanation is consistent with the Hebrew Torah, the prophetic Psalms, the apocrypha, and the Quran.

Hasn’t it occurred to you or Pete or Rodney or any other morons who whine about a “rape culture” that duh – maybe it’s something done by a few judges who make decisions that were a poll taken would be disapproved of by the vast, vast majority?

WTF about that don’t you understand? Pete makes these kind of mistakes all the time, who knows or cares what’s wrong with his head, and of course feminists take every opportunity they can to allege that every single man is a rapist so we can understand, if not agree with, their motives. And of course journalists who talk about it, well, since when did they ever understand anything about anything? But others, who CAN think?

It’s so elementary to see that it’s a logically flawed allegation and assumption, I really despair at the educational standards which have clearly permitted people who are totally fucked in the head to just walk out of school and wander around society, braying their complete and utter galloping mentalism left, right and centre.

The author does not understand the language, history or geography of the 1st century A.D., and there is no ancient evidence for the book. The internal evidence of the book suggests it was written in the 14th century, and there are Muslim scholars who agree with this dating. The book is a rewrite of the Biblical Gospel most likely by a Muslim who wanted to portray Jesus as a Muslim who taught Islam and predicted the coming of Muhammad. This type of rewriting has been done elsewhere by Muslims in the Gospel According to Islam.”

    http://www.truetorahjews.org/qanda/demographics

In America there are about 5 million Jews, and a recent study found only half of American Jews under the age of 35 are comfortable with the idea of a Jewish state. Among older Jews the percentage of Zionists is somewhat higher. Among the opponents of Zionism are the ultra-Orthodox Jews of America, who number close to 15%. If we assume that 60% of the total number are Zionists, that is 3 million. If trends in the rest of the world’s Jewish communities are similar to those of America, that would make a total of 4.26 million Zionists in the world outside of the state of Israel. All togther that is about 9 million Zionists, or 69% of the world’s Jewish population.

  143. Reid (16,471 comments) says:

Further to my 12.08, this is because the promises of God in Deuteronomy are conditional. That is, Israel must submit itself to God and behave as befits the most God-fearing nation on Earth. If Israel doesn’t do that, then the deal is null and void.

Hence the diaspora. Many orthodox Jews argue the diaspora hasn’t ended. They are waiting for God to draw them back to Israel. I don’t know if that’s correct or not, and the reason for that uncertainty is that it seems to me God’s hand was with Israel in the six-day war. Perhaps God, notwithstanding Israel had assembled itself without His permission, gave Israel a chance. Again. But once again, Israel turned its back on God. You take a look at that society today and you see a secular wasteland of immorality. For example do you seriously think a society which put God first and foremost in everything it did would behave as we see today? Of course not.

All of this is perfectly explained by the view that Israel has been setup in order to be destroyed.

Whether you know it or not the fact is we are not material beings with a spiritual component we are spiritual beings experiencing a temporary physical existence. When the Bible refers to things of the flesh what it’s meaning is wordly concerns – money, power, sex, whatever is important in the world – is not important in the spiritual realms. The physical experience we refer to as our life is intended to do one thing and one thing only, to teach us to pay attention not to worldly matters but to matters of the spirit – love being the primary one but there are others like integrity, honesty, self-discipline and so-on. These are all spiritual things and the more we pay attention to those and the more we eschew worldly values like lust, selfishness, wrath, envy, pride, gluttony, avarice etc the more we advance on our eternal journey.

In this context and with the acceptance that God and Satan are real beings, the Bible explains that this is not God’s world it’s Satan’s world. There has been a conflict occurring ever since the original sin, between God and Satan, with mankind being used as the battleground. Because of free will which are part of the ground rules, Satan must operate through deception and lies which is why I often refer to him as the Slanderer and Deceiver. So Satan uses various means to deceive people into behaving sinfully, like porn for example. How corrupting is that? And money, and power. Satan is extremely intelligent and he has a book on each and every person and he knows just which buttons to push and when. It’s part of the test to perceive that and resist the impulses he implants.

In the world of politics Satan is very busy because politics produces war and war produces death and all the other things that Satan loves, like torture and all kinds of physical and most critically, emotional pain. But this conflict between Satan and God is about Satan having been given the opportunity by God to turn His people away from Him and toward Satan. satan has been given a period of time to do this and he’s been working on it ever since. And I personally sense this time is drawing to a close. This is why we are seeing so much turmoil in the world not just in the conflicts but also in the economic instability and the hammer is about to fall on the latter very soon indeed. You just wait. But given this is what the conflict or rather, contest between God and Satan is all about, then what better way to achieve that than to setup the nation which genuinely is God’s people, to be destroyed. And then Satan can stand up and say: see? God didn’t protect them, and He’s not as powerful as I am.

I personally believe that Israel today is not the Israel from the bible, it’s been setup by people like the Rothschilds who are and always have been beholden to Satan. I think they are some genuine Abramic descendents in its population but they’re not the majority, the majority are people who come from a tribe called the Askhans who converted to Judaism in 600 AD. Some others have other views, such as they descend from the tribe of Moab. There’s a story that when the Israel’s disobeyed God’s instructions to wipe them all out including their animals and instead once the tribe had been conquered occupied themselves with rounding up said animals and possessions, that a late caravan of them came through the pass, saw what was happening and slipped away and their descendents are who I refer to as the evil ones and who others call the NWO. Who knows and quite frankly it’s not my burning desire to find out for sure.

I take the very simple view that when you look at what’s happening now, you can clearly see that Israel does not bow to God and that Israel’s leaders since this version was founded in 1947 have with rare exceptions behaved in ways that degrade the security of the nation they represent, not just in material terms but in spiritual terms too. That’s reality. That’s clear and present. That’s inarguable. You might not like that conclusion if you’re someone who believes they really are God’s people, but you can’t argue with it. Facts are facts.

    So there.

Judas was murdered by the coward Peter and his henchmen. The Bible, being written by the winners, covers this up.

That doesn’t explain the low self esteem of the crucified man in the prophetic Psalms:

Thou hast known my reproach, and my shame, and my dishonour: mine adversaries [are] all before thee.
Reproach hath broken my heart; and I am full of heaviness: and I looked [for some] to take pity, but [there was] none; and for comforters, but I found none.
They gave me also gall for my meat; and in my thirst they gave me vinegar to drink.
    Psalm 69:19-21

    Psalm 22:
1 My El, my El, why hast thou forsaken me? [why art thou so] far from helping me, [and from] the words of my roaring?
6 But I [am] a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised of the people.
16 For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.

    @ Chuck Bird

Taking Tania Billingsley’s rape culture definition – “our society normalises, trivialises and in both obvious and subtle ways, [that] condones rape” – which she used to condemn Prime Minister Key’s “bored annoyance” of her case – I was asking if a judge insists on name suppression, when the victims does not want it, is the judge only acting for the perpetrator, and isn’t that doing what Tania defines?

[For Reid's clarity, I am suggesting some judges may have a rape culture, not all of society]

So, do I “think the judge was justified in giving the Queenstown sexual predator a discharge without conviction and permanent name suppression?”
No, not if the victim asks the name suppression be waived.

One of the differences between Christianity and Islam is that the Quran denies that Isa (Jesus) was crucified. The gospel of Barnabus says that it was Judas who was crucified. The prophetic Psalms indicate that the crucified man had very low self esteem, as would be consistent for a traitor like Judas.

So when the IDF deliberately kills children (with a sniper weapon meaning its not accidental), it’s self-defense. When anyone else does it, it’s murder. However if someone murders a Jewish child, it’s not only murder, it’s the crime of the century.

That’s the reality in this satanic little world of ours, isn’t it. Clear and present. And what’s more, many of you apparently don’t even see anything wrong with that, given your vehemence in proclaiming the self-defense angle, when everyone knows its murder, but the only people who don’t want to or can’t see that, is you guys. I’m not taking sides and I never have on this John. That’s the annoying thing. It’s a polarising issue. So people hallucinate that if you’re not on their side then you’re automatically on the other.

My position is and always has been I condemn all murder, both from Hamas and from the IDF. But I don’t bother talking about the Hamas murder, because it simply obfuscates the main dynamic in this issue, which is that Israel is not justified in anyway whatsoever not only in taking the action she’s currently taking but in treating the Palestinians as she does.

But like I say, people are emotionally vested by decades of Western propaganda to buy into the polarisation angle, without even consciously knowing that’s what they are doing. It’s classic social engineering, which always, as I’ve explained, works on the subconscious without the affectee even knowing that they’ve been infected by it.

Fact is, I don’t particularly care about the accuracy of this. That is, it may be or it may not be, but it doesn’t make any difference to my position.

If it is accurate and to do that you have to assess the information in the link which – duh – is information. Like the Anonymous activity. That’s easy – duh – to check out. That’s how to think, hammer boy. And that – duh – makes the site its on quite irrelevant. Doesn’t it. Yes it does.

But I don’t care about doing that because – duh – it’s a tiny tiny fragment in the whole wretched episode in human affairs which is the entire and complete activity of the current version of the nation of Israel beginning with its founding when the PM-to be’s Stern Gang blew up the King David and killed all the British Servicemen who were there to help and protect the fledgling state. That’s how it treats its friends and that’s how its behaved ever since. That’s what my opinion is founded upon, hammer boy. Facts. Things that happened. That’s why this particular episode is of no particular consequence, one way or the other.

Sorry to be condescending hammer boy, but with one as profoundly arrogant and paternalistic as you, condescension is a necessary tool in the communication process, because hammer-boys like you need to be treated with the contempt you deserve.

Tim see below. It is genuine as I’ve seen her name and address, but she doesn’t want it published because of chance of hatemail

The editorial of your Paper is just an opinion piece. I too will add my opinion based on having lived in Gaza among these depraved Hamas leaders in recent years, as guest of the PLO. I am a non-Jewish New Zealand nurse, working with Palestinians and speak Arabic. I can confirm that lies and deceit are the order of the day. True, the visuals of death and destruction, prepared for Western consumption make the stomach churn. But no more than the knowledge that Hamas is orchestrating the whole show. Why do Imams repeat that Palestinians love death and Israelis, life? The scenes of death belie that. Journalists are forbidden to photograph Hamas soldiers in action, at pain of death so how can a balanced picture be gained.
Hamas inherited from Israel in 2005 a beautiful garden and they have made it a killing field and they say Israel has colonised Gaza?? Is the editor ignorant that the Hamas Charter calls for the elimination of all Israelis and the death of all Jews?
Palestinian friends in Jerusalem hate the Hamas lies as much as any honest person. It seems that the media thrives on them. Where is bravery and truth in journalism today? It is seen in IDF videos; young Israeli soldiers rappelling down a small hole in the earth with no idea what they will meet; only to find bombs, rockets, trip wires, and death, as was the case today.
You lash out with venom against PM Netanyahu but if tables were turned and the New Zealand government was required to protect its citizens against a lethal foe, there would be another tune heard. The hatred, in this editorial is no different from the hatred expressed by Hamas to peace-loving Israelis. Shalom is the essence of the Jewish people. I know, I lived there. Hatred is a sign of weakness; love is a sign of strength. It seems to me that you are backing the wrong horse.

The state of Israel did not exist when the Nazis and Fascists across Europe were promoting hatred of the Jews, so that blows your little theory out of the water.

And Jewish Kiwi citizens are not Israeli citizens, so anti-Jewish graffiti is aimed at Jews as a people, not “Zionists” thus proving my point that anti-Zionism is just a cover for Jew hatred.

And Muslims have killed far, far more children over the last ten years alone than all those that might have been killed by the state of Israel in it’s entire history.

So once again, your outrage is selective and just a cover for your own hatred.

I think you will find that those are displays of dislike for the PM, and not because he is of jewish descent. I doubt the vast majority of south Auckland would even know that much about him. Painting Hitler mustaches and using the swastika has been a means of adding insult to many leaders for years. I saw the same done to a Clark poster years back and I believe it was done to Muldoon as well. Even President Bush’s pics got the same treatment. I think you are over playing the significance. I doubt they have anything to do with the current situation in Gaza either.

    Interesting quote about Zionists.

“While the Zionists try to make the rest of the World believe that the national consciousness of the Jew finds its satisfaction in the creation of a Palestinian state, the Jews again slyly dupe the dumb Goyim. It doesn’t even enter their heads to build up a Jewish state in Palestine for the purpose of living there; all they want is a central organisation for their international world swindler, endowed with its own sovereign rights and removed from the intervention of other states: a haven for convicted scoundrels and a university for budding crooks.” – – Adolf Hitler in Mein Kampf

Islamic plan for the Jews – Extermination – 2005

…[The Israelites] have spread all over the world. Now Allah gathers them in this land. He brings them in groups from all countries of the world, in order to fulfill Allah’s universal law: Judgment Day will come when Muslims fight the Jews, and the stone and the tree say: Oh, Muslim, oh servant of Allah, there’s a Jew behind me, come and kill him. If the Jews were scattered throughout the world, how could we find them in order to fight them? The war between us and the Jews is a religious war. This is not a war over a path, a land or anything like that. The part of the Koran that was given at Mecca, before the Muslim even met the Jews, each chapter reveals who the Jews really are, their perversity and the danger they present. Our war with them is a religious war, and we must arm the nation with the weapon of faith. Facts like these days with the weapons the US had donated to the IDF, you don’t do things like that accidently. These are facts Andy. Facts, facts, facts. You may not like those facts, but that doesn’t make them into non-facts. No, life isn’t like that, Andy.

Another fact is that blood-libel is a very specific accusation because it refers to a very specific behaviour. Yet another fact is that neither Yoza (to my knowledge) nor I (for certain) has made those accusations in anyway whatsoever. ACT says it can boost economic growth by a third with a policy to cut the company tax rate to 12.5 per cent.

Leader Jamie Whyte says this will increase investment, and job and GDP by one third, leading to higher wages.

He would fund the tax cut by slashing “corporate welfare,” worth about $1.5bn a year, and carbon trading, worth $164m.

The current corporate tax rate is 28 per cent. Over the year to March, GDP grew by 3.3 per cent.

Whyte unveiled ACT’S economic policy at a candidate’s meeting in Auckland this morning.

European and American studies suggest cutting the rate by 10 percentage points will make economies grow by between 1 and 2 per cent extra a year. Each 1 per cent reduction in the rate boosts wages by between 0.3 and 0.5 per cent, he said.

“No single policy proposal from any party in this election can do more to increase economic growth, create jobs and lift wages,” he added,

Company tax is a “terrible drag” on growth and wages while raising “relatively little” revenue, he argued.

“The Labour party and their left-wing allies will no doubt complain that this is yet another ACT policy aimed at benefiting ‘the rich.’ They are wrong because, as explained, the primary beneficiaries of a lower company tax rate are workers whose pay increases.”

Stadium caterer stung for more liquor-licence breaches

Westpac Stadium’s caterer has been stung with more booze-related charges, this time from last Saturday’s football double-header.

Spotless has already accepted responsibility for more than 100 breaches of its liquor licence for serving drunk and under-age spectators at this year’s rugby sevens.

Next February’s party will subsequently face tighter controls, as Spotless will have to apply for a special licence to serve alcohol.

Now police have confirmed they ran a controlled purchase operation – in which people under 18 try to buy alcohol – during the football.

“We did have some cops working at the stadium that day for the football match and they did identify some clear breaches of the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act,” Senior Sergeant Mark Buttar said. “At this stage, no enforcement action has been taken to the Alcohol Regulatory and Licensing Authority.”

Oh dear, The fun police are tightening their grip on NZ.

You better be sure those left wing, Muslim and Nazi sites that have been spreading this are right.

Silly tit, nobody takes phrases like ‘blood libel’ seriously any more, this is like some kind of throwback to the 16th century. The instagram account in question was taken out of the public domain quite smartly after the photo started getting too much attention, which suggests it was an actual Israeli soldier shooting his mouth off. What he is gloating about is no different to what the Israeli military are doing when considering the amount of children that have been killed as a direct result of IDF activity.

You are accusing Jews of killing Palestinian children for shits and giggles and you wonder why I accuse you of blood libel?
Don’t respond with that “oh but that’s not blood libel’” nonsense.
These sort of accusations, Jews are children killers, have been levelled against Jews for a long time in one form or another by the usual suspects.
If you don’t understand the need to check these sort of serious accusations before spreading them, you are either dumb, devious or both.

You struggle to differentiate between the State of Israel and Jews generally, just because the Israelis claim they are acting in the interests of all Jews it does not necessarily follow that they are. There are a great many Jews who are utterly appalled at being tarred with Israeli crimes against humanity. You are talking nonsense Andy.

As to your supposed concern for the facts, the fact is that far more children have been killed by Islamic radicals than Israel, by a long shot, yet that fact is of no concern to you.

So, you are not interested in the facts as a whole, just those “facts” that fit your neo-Nazi hatred.

Wrong again Shawny. More Muslim children have been killed by Israel, the US and its proxies – Saddam Hussein was slaughtering tens of thousands while the US was picking up his tab – than any Muslim regimes.

That’s true. The USA sent tens of billions of dollars to Saddam from the 1970’s through to 1991 so he could build up a military made up entirely of Soviet tanks, BMP’s, artillery, rocket batteries, Kalashnokovs, RPG’s, radars, SAM batteries, Hind D-24 attack helicopters and MIG fighter planes, plus training in Soviet military strategies and tactics. They probably even paid for those French AA missile systems that rounded out the whole lot.

Obviously that cover was not good enough though, the Far Left saw right through it.

    hyuck, hyuck, hyuck!

Only a nut like Tomithy Hunter would think chemical weapons are a bit of a laugh.

In 1988, during the waning days of Iraq’s war with Iran, the United States learned through satellite imagery that Iran was about to gain a major strategic advantage by exploiting a hole in Iraqi defenses. U.S. intelligence officials conveyed the location of the Iranian troops to Iraq, fully aware that Hussein’s military would attack with chemical weapons, including sarin, a lethal nerve agent.

The intelligence included imagery and maps about Iranian troop movements, as well as the locations of Iranian logistics facilities and details about Iranian air defenses. The Iraqis used mustard gas and sarin prior to four major offensives in early 1988 that relied on U.S. satellite imagery, maps, and other intelligence. These attacks helped to tilt the war in Iraq’s favor and bring Iran to the negotiating table, and they ensured that the Reagan administration’s long-standing policy of securing an Iraqi victory would succeed. But they were also the last in a series of chemical strikes stretching back several years that the Reagan administration knew about and didn’t disclose.

U.S. officials have long denied acquiescing to Iraqi chemical attacks, insisting that Hussein’s government never announced he was going to use the weapons. But retired Air Force Col. Rick Francona, who was a military attaché in Baghdad during the 1988 strikes, paints a different picture.

“The Iraqis never told us that they intended to use nerve gas. They didn’t have to. We already knew,” he told Foreign Policy.

Lying that you are really, really concerned about crimes against humanity when the only ones you ever mention are, supposedly, committed by Israel is testament to what a dishonest liar you are.

Terrible crimes, much worse than anything Israel might have done, have been committed by Muslims over the lest ten years. Yet you never mention those, or the crimes being committed right now by other countries.

You have also on two occasions tried to rehabilitate the image Soviet Union, an entity guilty of vastly greater crimes than anything Israel has done.

So you are not concerned with the supposed crimes of Israel. It’s clear that all you care about is promoting hatred of Israel.

“There is no moral argument which sanitises the atrocities the IDF are committing”

There is no moral argument which sanitizes the atrocities committed by HAMAS, yet you excuse them. There is no moral argument that sanitizes the atrocities committed by the Soviet Union, yet you excuse them.

So, given these blatant double standards the only reasonable conclusion is that your biased for some reason.

Gee, I wonder what that could be?

Oh and by the way, you have your facts wrong. Sadam was put in power by the Soviet Union and his military funded and armed by them. Your comrades in action eh Yowza.

Only a nut like Tomithy ….

Sheesh. What is it with the Israeli haters and the lisping?

Anyhoo, I long ago read the de-classified CIA files referred to in your link and to say the least it’s a lot more nuanced than you allow, as always is the case with your hysterical boilerplate language. I always liked the part where the CIA pointed out in its reports that the USSR had conducted chemical warfare in Afghanistan – and suffered no repercussions.

Well of course they didn’t: you and your ilk were always too focused on the USA to allow any time to worry about what evil your Soviet comrades were up to.

It’s certainly more nuanced than the fact that it was the USSR that armed Saddam to the teeth and kept him re-supplied during the Iran-Iraq conflict. Yet during that time not a word against the USSR was heard from the Yoza’s of the West. No protests in front of Soviet embassies, the pages of Z Magazine, The Nation, and Mother Jones devoid of angry, passionate attacks by caring left-wingers on the USSR for it’s full-blown support of such slaughter. Nothing.

    Some outrage. Some moral judgement.

Instead we got the usual microscopic focus on the piddling role played by the USA, right down to this day with while the US was picking up his tab.

And of course it’s entirely predictable and relevant now that a group and a person who could so obtusely ignore the overwhelming backing of Saddam by the USSR for three decades would find themselves ignoring a terrorist group in 2014 to relentlessly focus on the high crimes and misdemeanours of yet another capitalist democracy. Anything to bring the latter down.

The good news is that your past – however cute and sophistric you think it was to act as if the USSR did not exist – showed your moral corruption for all to see and nowadays none of your high dudgeon and outraged outrageism carries any weight as you try and pull the same tired stunt again on behalf of Hamas.

But they are Shawn. But who cares about that little truth, because the issue is your extrapolation of that allegation to a mindset you allege I hold, and it’s that extrapolation which is illogical in precisely the same way in which an extrapolation that people who criticise Israel for its actions are therefore anti-semitic, is illogical.

Thinking is about drawing distinctions and the answer, if the correct distinctions aren’t being drawn, is not to desist from raising the issues which cause in some people conflation, which is the remedy you’re suggesting I undertake.

I gave you data which if you were a Christian you would take up, to draw the relevant distinction instead of the conflation you have currently made, in respect of me and “neo-Nazi Jew hater.”

But you’ve told me you’re not interested. That’s fine, it doesn’t bother me because I love you just as I love everyone so of course I forgive you and I pray we’ll meet one day if not on Earth then in Heaven.

But part of loving people is to call bullshit when you see people doing it, and when you’re talking about murder and abuse, why loving those people is the hardest of the hard duties God has assigned to those of us who acknowledge and worship His holy presence and strive to obey and fulfil his Word on Earth.

So I won’t be desisting from the accusations I’ve made to date and will make in future, partly because of the former and partly because how do you know those allegations are not part of the fabric God has created to bring people to Him?

Why do you think people like Joseph Ehrlich spent thousands of hours of his time here doing precisely what I’m doing just in a much better, more God focused and more erudite way? I told you about him the other day, but I bet you haven’t even looked him up, have you.

What strikes me is the particular accusation you so casually throw against a fellow Christian is definitely one which I would have thought was worth asking your wife to make a single phone call about. But apparently, you’re not interested in doing even that small thing, when accusing a brother. What does the bible tell you about that, Shawn?

“Reid states his issue is with Israel, but then in following posts calls the Rothchilds satanists, that Jews deface their own graves etc.”

I know. I have tried to point this out to him numerous times, but he just gets defensive and digs in. But you are right, he slips from Zionists to Jews now and then and at that point it is obvious that he is engaging in prejudice against Jews in general. The bit about Jews desecrating their own graves is pure bigotry, and anyone actually familiar with Judaism and Jewish culture knows that no Jew would ever desecrate a grave, let alone their own.

I seriously doubt, in fact I know, that the Vicar in question would back what he says on KB. She might be willing to say that in her experience with him he’s generally a nice chap, but I suspect she would be horrified at what he says here.

And despite what Reid thinks, being a nice chap in everyday life does not excuse what he says here.

Yes, well thanks Shawn, but I must say that I’m always amazed at the complete and utter lack of shame that the likes of Yoza exhibit. Chutzpah does not even come close to describing this.

I’m always left wondering whether he and his ilk really fail to realise how tin-eared they sound with such relentless “on-message” propagandising (of a degree that John Key can only admire) – or whether he really is so obtuse that he thinks that people believe this red-faced, finger-wagging outrage coming from the likes of him, along with all the boilerplate language: ruthless, genocidal, concentration camp, sinister, yada, yada, yada.

He’d do better by at least acknowledging the blind spots of the coffee-house commissars, instead of bleating about how belonging to some quantum slice variation of Marxism/Proudhonism/Bakuninism/ etc somehow insulates him from all the actual marxist shit that always happens. I can excuse an anarchist like Rosa Luxemburg because how was she to know that Marxist-Lennism would turn as evil as it did – but guys like Yoza seem to truly believe that he can get away with this approach today.

Moreover such a ideologue should actually be more angry and vituperative against the likes of Cuba and Venuzuela than I am, for once again betraying the principles he claims to hold. But instead he defends them every chance he gets, usually using their own propaganda. It’s stuff like that’s convinced me that Yoza is actually just another old communist, using the claims of libertarian socialism as a front.

It’s like watching some ancient Soviet documentary from the 1930’s or some hare-brained 60’s twit ranting about “The Man”. The ideas, the morally outraged stance, and especially the language and the relentless half-truth soundbites – it’s all so utterly dated and pathetic. You’d think the sad, tiny numbers who join with him would make him re-think at least his approach but no, he just robotically plows on and phones it in.

If you don’t know that then you know nothing about how zionists operate which means you’re not only you’re arrogant but you’re an arrogant idiot. Which explains precisely your position.

    @ Yowza

[Yoza]“Saying I am a Jew hater, because I think what Israel is doing in Gaza and the occupied territories amounts to crimes against humanity, is testament to what a nasty little fool you actually are.”

The Syrian government has committed a long history of horrific crimes against its own countrymen, there is little need to spend much time commenting on such crimes as they are celebrated in the Western media. I would agree with the assessment of the Syrian regime, they are vicious bastards. Similarly ISIS is carrying out large scale crimes that defy comprehension, again, I do not disagree with the condemnation that is heaped on these terrorists.
Always keep in mind that these terrorists did not drop out of a vacuum, they are one of the consequences of the US invasion of Iraq, which resulted in something like 4 million internally displaced people – a great many fleeing to Syria. By 2010 Syria was struggling with food security as drought devastated their crops. The insurgency, which was launched out of desperation, seems to have been hijacked by the West and a pretty extreme brand of fundamentalist Islam, both of whom only pay lip service to those they claim to be saving.

I don’t disagree that the likes of the Syrian government, the Iraqi government or ISIS can be vicious sadists, but it is sadly predictable that those who can so easily see the crimes committed by these entities are blind when the US and Israeli military indulge in similar acts of terror.

It is your’s and others’ racially inspired blindness that is the problem, Shawn, I don’t have a problem recognising acts of terror carried out by Muslims, you are the one who will not see the crimes carried out by whites.

You have also on two occasions tried to rehabilitate the image Soviet Union, an entity guilty of vastly greater crimes than anything Israel has done.

I always consider the Soviet Union to be an authoritarian nightmare, you would have to remind me how I am supposed to have ‘rehabilitated’ them.

There is no moral argument which sanitizes the atrocities committed by HAMAS, yet you excuse them.

Hamas are a resistance group struggling with the military occupation of their country by foreign invaders.

“If I were an Arab leader, I would never sign an agreement with Israel. It is normal; we have taken their country. “ – David Ben-Gurion

There is no moral argument that sanitizes the atrocities committed by the Soviet Union, yet you excuse them.

Again, once they were at war with the invading German military machine all thoughts of humanity went out the window. Russians were regarded as a subspecies then and little has changed in the intervening decades. Reading Western commentary, Russians are disobedient subjects of their ‘civilised’ Western masters. Things were going swimmingly while Yeltsin was dishing out Russian resources to Western corporations looting the country, something like $2billion was being stripped out of the country every day. Then along came Putin.

It turns out the problem is not the atrocities of the Soviet Union or Putin’s wickedness, the problem is a Russia which isn’t subordinate to Western corporate interests. The reason it is so rare to hear of Saudi atrocities is because the Saudis are an obedient component of Western corporate dominance.

So, given these blatant double standards the only reasonable conclusion is that your biased for some reason.

Gee, I wonder what that could be?

Simple Shawn, I don’t like baby killers.

Oh and by the way, you have your facts wrong. Sadam was put in power by the Soviet Union and his military funded and armed by them. Your comrades in action eh Yowza.

I am aware of the Soviet Union’s involvement in Iraq, I don’t see how that excuses US complicity in Saddam’s chemical weapons attacks against civilian populations:

But the CIA documents, which sat almost entirely unnoticed in a trove of declassified material at the National Archives in College Park, Md., combined with exclusive interviews with former intelligence officials, reveal new details about the depth of the United States’ knowledge of how and when Iraq employed the deadly agents. They show that senior U.S. officials were being regularly informed about the scale of the nerve gas attacks. They are tantamount to an official American admission of complicity in some of the most gruesome chemical weapons attacks ever launched.

Sheesh. What is it with the Israeli haters and the lisping?

Anyhoo, I long ago read the de-classified CIA files referred to in your link and to say the least it’s a lot more nuanced than you allow, as always is the case with your hysterical boilerplate language.

You were having a bit of a laugh about chemical weapons attacks on civilian populations Tommy, all I did was pull you up on your arrogance and copy and paste a reminder, from a conservative publication, the history you were attempting to fob off.

Nothing.

Isn’t it odd that US complicity in crimes against humanity always invite the word ‘nuanced’. Yeah, sure – fuck the USSR and its support for Saddam, it does not diminish the crimes in which the US was complicit.

No doubt Yoza has other guiding principles – perhaps he could enlighten us.

He seemed to indicate that the situation was far from bad as the media were indicating and Israel had the situation under control. Israel tactically is trying to eliminate any information getting out of Gaza by wiping out for example electricity plants.
