Republic Support Increasing

An NBR poll shows a significant increase in support for a republic.

In February 2003 support for the monarchy over a republic was a 25% gap (54% to 29%). It is now only 11% and monarchy now has only minority support at 46% with republic at 35% and 19% unsure or do not care.

Those who think we wil become a republic within 20 years also increased from a net 6% thinking that to a net 26% (57% to 31%).
