US Gay Marriage

I believe it is entirely correct that the California Supreme Court has annulled some 4,000 same sex weddings done in San Francisco.

Quite simply it was outraegous grand-standing by the San Francisco Mayor to disregard state law and issue the licences. If one wants the law changed, then get the people to vote to change it. But it was incredibly arrogant of the Mayor to unilaterally act. Also unfair to all those who thought what he did might be legal.

In related news, I note the Democratic Governor of New Jersey has resigned over a homosexual affair. He had previously opposed gay marriage.
