Tariana Turia has revealed that the axed social entrepreneur scheme which gave us $26,000 hip hop tours, was the personal initiative of Steve Maharey.

It seems Steve sold it as a “stunning examples of community innovation”. Little did he know that the only innovation would be in people figuring out ways to get their hands on the money.
