Susan Wood keeps her job

TVNZ have announced that Susan Wood will stay on as the permament host of Close Up At 7. Political Editor Mark Sainsbury will be the backup host.

I actually think it is a pity TVNZ did not take a risk and move Paul Henry from Breakfast TV to the 7 pm slot. I think Henry does a good job at Breakfast TV with Alison Mau, and like Holmes he has the capacity to stir things up a bit. Listening to him and Alison discussing whether it is okay to take photos of topless sunbathers in public places was quite classic.
