Two new National Board members

National has announced that it has c-opted two new members to their ruling Board of Directors to replace Eric Roy and David Bennett who will next year be the MPs for Invercargill and Hamilton East respectively.

The first new board member is former Deputy Prime Minister Rt Hon Wyatt Creech. Wyatt is an excellent pick having served previously on the party’s former national executive and having considerable experience in governance and politics.

The other appointment is Peter Goodfellow from Auckland. Peter, like me, has been around for donkey years having joined as a Young National and forgotten to ever leave:-)

Peter has been involved with communications and campaigns for many elections and will also be a big asset to the board with their responsibility of overseeing the campaign.

So congratulations Wyatt and Peter. – remember we will blame you if National loses 🙂
