MMP Referenda

Don Brash has promised a new referendum on the manner by which we elect our MPs, inside the next term of office.

A referendum is well overdue. By 2005 we will have had four MMP elections, and there is strong support for having another referendum in polls.

Personally given a choice between MMP and FPP, I would vote to keep MMP.

However the good thing about the proposal is we could for example end up with a choice between say MMP and STV. That would give the Electoral Reform Coalition a dilemma 🙂
